I’m hearing the second episode out will have Castle and Beckett
diving deep into the world of local broadcast news after a (duh…)
murder is committed. The catch? The victim — a weather girl — may have
been involved in an inter-office romance. I wonder who might have some
thoughts on that subject…?

Whether Rick tells Martha or not she will know. I bet he is going to be whistling one day and Martha asks what has you in such a good mood? And Rick says oh good book review. Marha says oh....that's great, oh darling, by the way congrats on your relationship with Beckett, don't screw it up. Rick is like how do you know? Martha is like please, it's obvious. I should smack you for lying to me. And I thought the 2nd ep would deal with storage wars.

DeleteI want a scene with Alexis or Martha or both walking in to find Beckett in Castle's clothes, without warning. Awkward. The look on Stana's face would be priceless acting this.

DeleteHere's hoping we get a line from Alexis in the premier somewhere along the lines of: "I see you found something better to do last night than watch TV" (referencing Beckett's presence). It wouldn't surprise me if Alexis can't keep the secret to Lanie and perhaps unintentionally reveals Rick and Kate's secret to her. If this is what happens then perhaps they're going to do something similar to the Esplanie moments in Season 3 between "Poof, You're Dead" and "Lucky Stiff", (where they thought that they had kept things a secret but their friends had already figured it out anyway).
DeleteThe thing that most interests me from this story arc is how Captain Gates reacts to finding out that Rick and Kate are more than just partners in the Precinct (which she will eventually you would think). I don't see any credible way to keep Rick at the Precinct into Season 5 other than Captain Gates awkwardly relinquishing and allowing him to continue on her terms and no one else's (including the Mayor). By using the term awkward I mean that she has always looked down on Rick as an inferior being and has found it difficult to compliment him (especially in that scene in "47 Seconds"), so that would mean we would see a softer side to her. In terms of Kate's resignation, Captain Gates knows that while Kate broke the rules and then resigned, she is an integral part of the Precinct. Once Captain Gates learns of Kate's relationship with Rick I'm guessing that Kate might say "I won't come back unless you allow Rick back too" (which is essentially blackmail and would be a mirror situation of sorts to Rise, where Rick used his friendship with the Mayor to basically blackmail Captain Gates to keep him at the Precinct).
Fun times ahead (with a bit of angst thrown in). At this rate it'll be the 24th of September before we know it!

DeleteCastle and Beckett are is the living room picking up there clothes from the floor. Castle is in his robe,Kate has one of castles shirts on. Sleves rolled up to her elboes,the top two buttons open. with the two lovely legs sticking out from the bottom. They are standing there with there clothes clutched to there chests. When the door opens and shuts. Standing there looking at them is alexes.She looks at the gets a little smile on her face. She says dad you lied to me. Castle I did. Akexes yes you told me you were staying home an playing with you X box. She heads up the stairs stops looks back at them and says you guys better get dressed before grams gets home.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like Martha is going to get an eyeful when she comes home (after being rained out of her flight or her ride by car or whatever to The Hamptons). HaHa!
ReplyDeleteI think Alexis may find out a little later, but Martha will walk in on them either asleep in bed together or catches them just after the throes of passion.
Alexis wasn't supposed to be home until the next day. My guess is Martha comes back that night.
Either way, I love that Castle's girls will know. Now it's only fair that Beckett has a sounding board, so Lanie should know as well. HaHa!
I bet this seasons finale will end with beckett on a bed holding a pregnency test and at the last second it goes to positive
ReplyDeleteThat would be cool, but I was hoping that when they finally end this series (after another 3 or 4 seasons) that they'd end it with a wedding. I know they don't have to be married to have a baby, but call me old fahioned... I think it would be nice. Plus I think a baby would seriously cut into their crime solving.
DeleteOh gosh, I hope not. I Completely agree with anon 3:38. I want a marriage before I want babies!! And I just don't really know if I want kids at all in this show for Castle and Beckett. I feel like that would change the dynamic of the show in almost a bad way. Not to mention its exactly what Bones did and I'd rather them more original with it. I would more like to see a baby for Ryan and Jenny!! That would be soooo cute! Or maybe they can have a baby in real life and then they can use that baby in the show!! Gahh, they kill me with their adorableness.... Hahaha
DeleteI would love to see marriage AND then a baby! Yeah it would change the show a bit ,yet so did them getting together in the finale. I have confiednce that the show writers would do great if that ever happens. Plus remember at Paley when asked Stana said maybe a baby season 7 and even Nathan said season 10 haha. I want to see a pregnant Kate!! But if I had to pick only one of the two between Caskett getting married or having a baby it would be getting married definetly! However I dont know if it will ever happen cause so few shows marry their leads :( although Castle writers got Caskett together which many shows fail to do the right way or at all..so its a possibility maybe!
