Very specific Castle question. How much of the morning after will we see exactly? Is it alluded to or are we talking snuggleage? — Karen
I included this question mostly because I’m in love with the word snuggle-age.
(I added a hyphen. Hope that’s OK.) Oh, and I believe there’s a scene
that takes place in the bed. But you can’t be sure until you see the
episode, which now has a premiere date! (Sept. 24)

ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who is worried that we may be hyping this morning after so much and getting all sorts of ideas in our head, that the real thing isnt going to live up to our expectations. We've been waiting for this for so long and we all have this amazing morning after story concoted in our heads, but we may be disapointed. I know Im being debbie downer here, just a thought thats all. Someone please tell me im wrong so i can get totally excited.

DeleteI think that's whats hyped everyone up, I'm fairly sure he said it in his first or second interview right after Always aired.
As for bloopers, I'd say around the time the season 4 DVD is released, cause usually they're a special feature.
Personally I can't wait for the commentary hopefully they'll do it for Rise, Cuffed & Always.
I am so sad you tube remove all Castlevideos that was the only chance to see new episodes for me. Now is my waiting so senseless because in Europe we will see season 5 not until next year.
ReplyDeleteHAHA really becouse I live in Europe too and here they only aired seasons 1 and 2 and then they stop lol but that didn't stop me from going to watch.series and watch all episodes there only 1 day after they have been aired on abc and I will watch season 5 there too so now GO GO GO GO ENJOY!!!!

DeleteI live in Spain and some episodes I watched shortly before they aired in the US. Usually they're out around the same time they show them on tv. If not you can always watch some ABC stream, but I personally prefer not to cause I hate the ad breaks..

I have no doubt the premire will be spectacular but I see what you are saying about the morning after scene .... Im sure that scene will be great too but we may have too many expectations in our head of what we want that (the morning after scene) to be. Ahhhhh Im not gonna make it till Sept 24th.

DeleteI believe that we will get our morning after-in bed scene. Maybe it will not be exactly like we expect, but I think it will be GOOD! And I mean good good! The kissing in the finale was way more, and way more beautiful and intense than I expected. So I guess I will not be disappointed about the premiere too.
ReplyDeleteI also think that with the new set they built (Beckett bedroom and bathroom) we will get even more nice scenes in the episodes to come. Not necessarily sex scenes, obviously, but intimate domestic scenes where they talk and fight and bond, yes.

You know as much as I am looking forward for the "morning after" scene and the first episode, I am actually more excited about all the small things we will see in the rest of the season. You know like Kate calling him Rick(y) more often (maybe even without realizing), he comming to here desk handing her the coffee and touching her softly, he buying here presents and so on. You knwo all the small things you do when you are a couple (and maybe dont even realize / think about). I think this will be really funny during the time while they are hiding there releationship.

And for the morning after scene: Any ideas what will happend to interrupt this scene? I mean what will be the trigger that kick's them back into the story? R/E calling? Kate running out the apartment? Someone showing up?
No interruptions! Caskett could stay in bed for the whole episode- even the whole season- and i would still watch! :)
DeleteSnuggleage with 42 minutes of Caskett in bed - I love it! But with what we know, I'll make a guess: the murder to solve will be Smith's. The snuggle age-interruptous will be a phone call from the precinct for Castle. They found the phone with his number on it (or do those phones not show numbers - sorry I'm not a spy expert). Just say they make the connection and call Castle down for questioning. Since it's all coming out in the open, Castle tells Kate - no more secrets - and pulls the murder board out of the trash to show. They realize like it or not, she's still involved and they need to work together on it.

DeleteAs much as I love Caskett, I also love them working as partners, and it's only going to get better now that they are a couple. I don't need to ever see a love scene as long as we get to see them kissing and hugging and it's implied through their closeness that they are lovers. I am not opposed to a love scene, but this is ABC, not HBO. It's not a porno, either.
Realistically all we can hope for is to see them in bed with bodies tangled, kissing, rolling around in a comic manner like with Meredith, snuggling or the actually act being alluded to or a simulation of them about to make love or give oral sex like with Meredith and on Rookie Blue.
There have been some hot love scenes on network tv, but we should wait and see how Caskett will be before people cry foul about not seeing it. I don't think their first time needed to be shown like some wanted it to be due to the circumstances that led Beckett to his door apologizing. What we got was HOT! and just a prelude of what's to come.
Caskett is so much more than just sex. I love everything about this couple before sex ever entered into the equation. I think I can wait for the sex scenes being shown especially if I see their love being shared and growing with each episode. I love that we get to see them in love and the making love will only be better when two people are in it forever.
Sex can complicate things and make things better. I am glad I get to see them work on this for a full season instead of a finale. Bring on S5.

ReplyDeleteSome of the fans want to see the next morning with the two lovers in bed.. I doubt very much that we will see any of that. The networks are too scared of a back lash from some wacko group. The last show that got balls was in 93 nypd blue. They lasted 4 years.nothing since has come close.. On the networks that is. On 5-1 we will see our lovers fully clothed an at least 3 feet apart.
ReplyDeleteNot true. Not on FOX anyway. On Bones, Booth and Brennan have been between the sheets with several partners - nekked- sweaty - and out of breath - just not each other. Well there was that one scene in a dream sequence. And that show is on earlier. I don't think sex is a problem. It's all over the networks in daytime soaps. Besides we've already seen Castle after a night of fun with his ex-wife and actress girlfriend. Those scenes were graphic enough. We know Kate has had relationships. She just never got a chance to show off the kinky side she brags about - no bedroom on the set! Maybe now things will be a little more fun! :)

DeleteThat being said, on Rookie Blue we got a HOT love scene between Sam & Andy, but let me say that what happened with Castle & Beckett was different than what happened with Sam & Andy. Their relationship was danced around, too, and something that almost caused both of them to lose their lives brought them together in a very passionate way.
But with Caskett, Castle had walked away and Beckett had hurt him when she chose the case of her mother over him, so her apologizing and him accepting it and her back in his life was more about feelings being unleashed in a passionate embrace and locking of lips and less about needing to know the other is alive and needing to feel the bodies connecting in an act of survival like with Rookie Blue. That scene was HOT btw. Yum.
But two different storylines brought these couples together differently.
I think Marlowe nailed it perfectly with the two of them unleashing 4 years of pent up desire and need and want with the way Castle threw her up against that door. I mean Castle made her knees buckle for goodness sake and some fans are saying we got nothing. What are they smoking? That kiss was HOT! It was more about emotions building and them exploding than them jumping each other's bones like some horny kids.
That would be a "hook-up" type of deal had they just started rolling around in the bed like Castle & Meredith and the contrast to that and what we got in Always shows the evolution of the characters and signifies that Beckett is so much more than just someone he's having deep-fried twinkie sex with.

I'm pretty sure Caskett's first time was very intense and passionate, not with both of them giggling and humping away like rabbits while falling out of the bed.
I am so glad none of you are writers for Castle.
Marlowe did it perfectly. No sex scene was required AT THIS TIME for us and Castle & Beckett to connect emotionally. This was about two hearts finally being in sync and beating as one as their bodies came together as one. Not about a booty call.

I totally agree. The early shows with Castle and his trollups was to establish his character as a playboy. But his character has so evolved beyond that. To show the sex scene between them in their ccurrent state would take half the season. It would not be
Deletea Meredith like hot and heavy.... It would be a slow, passionate burn. I think they did the perfect job on implying that with the closing make out scene. There will be plenty of time later should they choose to include a fun, rompous sort of sex scene... But I personally don't think it would be necessary. We all already know how much these two enjoy each other.
