DeleteBecause it seems like this could be after she quit and fought the guy and maybe needed to think about things. Like maybe things with end badly & she knows it's her fault so she just wants to think about how she feels and what she should do. Idk if that's right but it's possible?
DeleteBecause it's the scene that started her and Castle's reconciliation, on the swings. So it all ties together; after the secrets come out she goes back there to reflect, realizes what she wants, and goes straight to him! Go Kate!
DeleteIt sounds like Beckett has a lot to think about, sitting on that swing by herself. It would be awesome to visit the same place where the first conversation about the wall happened to then finally see the wall come down.

So my guess is that Beckett is contemplating her relationship with Castle (maybe after their fight where he tells her he loves her?) and then she FINALLY realizes that she doesn't want to wait anymore and goes to his apartment, arriving soaking wet at his doorstep. He opens the door like we see in the promo, she reaches for him and then they finally kiss for real!!! And well, I think we can all figure out what will happen after that first Caskett kiss ;) sooooo excited!!!

ReplyDeleteI can see her sitting on that swing by herself after she goes after the sniper. He's gotten away and she realizes how close she came to dying...the CTV promo shows her nearly getting thrown off the roof. Maybe she goes to the swingset to think...she remembers that she told Castle she needed to put her mom's case to rest before being able to have the kind of relationship she wants. The sniper has gotten away. Maybe she'll never put this case to rest...is she willing to risk losing Castle in the pursuit of this man who's already long gone? Is she going to continue to go rogue and waste her life searching for him?
ReplyDeleteNo, she's not. She's done all this work to let her mom's case go and to move on from her shooting. More importantly, she LOVES him...and that's when she runs to him. She doesn't want to wait anymore. She wants a life with Castle and she wants that life to start NOW!
God, I cannot wait for this season finale!!! I think it's going to blow us all away.
But the sniper has a gun on castle when he opens the door .....

I know the finale is going to be amazing bit now I seriously think the sniper pointing a gun at Rick in his apartment is the cliffhanger like you said.

Haha I know what you mean Insahyne. I know what you mean. And no problem. I'm building theories in my head too and reasoning that it has to be a happy cliffhanger cause season 5 is going to be a lighter season. But it's so hard coming up with a happy ending. Maybe Rick and Kate go to the hamptons. Do you have any theories?
DeleteI was thinking of the same thing: A lighter season is a good sign, though one of the theories I have is that the writers do get them together but the dreaded cliffhanger occurs, and yes they know that they love each other but for some reason they CAN'T be together as in not allowed, or not able to show it because it will make them targets (not thought yet why they should be targets together but oh well.)
DeleteI think that would be something the writers might consider because it does satisfy shippers but keeps the suspense.
As to Always (can you say the word without grinning?) I think it can go both ways -looking into what clothes she wears at the loft in the promo to figure it out in a minute- but basically, either all the action stuff happens before, they have the fight and she thinks of forgiving him in the rain -then bam..happy shippers.
Or... somewhere in the middle of the episode they have the fight, make up ;-) and then comes the resignation or the cliffhanger. Someone pointed out earlier that they never show scenes of the cliffhanger in the promo though...so the cliffie might be something completely different from all our theories.
(okay I'm stopping now) :D
Your theories are awesome and I could definitely see them happening. I think whatever the cliffhanger is definitely sets up the happy theme for season 5. And I totally agree. Whatever the cliffhanger is, it will definitely blow our theories out the water;)
Deletemaybe like above the sniper is there when kate goes in, but he gives her a choice. She can have him (kill him, put him in jail as she wishes) and he will kill castle then and there (or maybe alexis or martha). She of course chooses Castle, and yay happy ending! but the sniper gets away, and knows everything about them, before he (or she) leaves, he says something creeper being the cliffhanger

Wait, I thought Ausiello mentioned (on twitter) that the couple in his blind item had "foreplay" before the you-know-what. If Beckett was all by herself at the swing before going to Castle's place, she knocked on his door, and as soon as he opens, she plunge herself to him, where's the foreplay? Come on, I really don't think "foreplay" is that literal in this context. I was thinking maybe Caskett had a big fight along the way before they grabbed each other - that this was their foreplay. That would explain why Castle seems to be backing up as Beckett was reaching for him.

But I doubt Rick will get shot cause it would mirror last season, and AM is trying to do something totally different. Also season 5 is supposed to be more lighter and fun than season 4 was, so the main character getting shot wouldn't make this season lighter. Hmm curse this good cliffhanger, lol.

ReplyDeleteThe clothes Castle and Beckett are wearing in his loft are not anywhere eles in the promos or screencaps. Which makes me think its the end. Whatever the cliffhanger is i bet it will happen right before kate decides to get up off the swing.

I think the fight with the sniper happens right after Castle tells Beckett his secret and she is upset with him. The sniper gets away and somehow Kate is presented with the choice (maybe by Mr. Smith) of catching her mothers killer or keeping Castle safe. She chooses Caslte and gives up on her mothers murderer for now and the sniper is still on the loose.

ReplyDeleteDid anyone feel wired about the announcement? It makes no sense for Ausiello to announce either way if it is or isn't Castle. If it is, why would you want people to know beforehand and ruin the surprise? If it isn't, ruin the surprise in another way. I feel bad about the announcement....

ReplyDeleteI agree with those who don't think he will actually announce it. Why would he do so in advance and ruin the surprise? Also if it isn't then he's in trouble because this blind has been built up into such epic proportions by the fans that it probably is. I must admit the clues he has given have been rather pointed but if he's just been teasing all along then he is going to have one furious backlash on his hands!

Rick is probably still upset because when she left him they had been fighting over his secret and the fact she just won't stop this thing and she appeared to make a choice - not him.
That would explain him backing off her a bit and she rushing forward almost begging to hug him.
I hope it works out like that.
If the blind item is not them I admit I'll be somewhat disappointed but if they are together and shown acknowledging their love for each other even just with a few kisses then I will be happy.
What I don't want is for Marlowe to have them appear really happy for a very short time and then rip them apart 10 minutes later due to some row in the name of entertainment. Have some other shock ending if you like but NOT that.
Just did a little big of digging about the PG rating for past episodes:
ReplyDeleteEppies 1x06 (Rick and his first ex-wife) and 3x12 (Esplanie) got an S rating. Well, you might go back and watch them (check the beginnings) but I'm sure you remember that for Esplanie they showed a kiss and a little naked skin...
Anyway, from this moment I'll try my best to keep away from this site until after the season finale because I just don't want to know. I want all scenes, twists and turns to hit me by surprise, without me making constant comparisons with all theories that I've read. I'll leave that part for a post-episode discussion.
So I watched the promos, but I'm determined not to watch the sneak peeks or read Ausiello's big reveal(if there even is one).
This is the spot where I'll make my stand! (-:
Did anyone else think that the promo resequenced the I love you Kate scene? I think she asks him why and then he tells her. It seemed backwards to me in the promo. Then he gets all tender and starts to tear up.

ReplyDelete- The promo they showed for The limey with Esposito saying, 'Its like they are pulling away' Look closely, Beckett is siting on her desk wearing 'white' shirt. This means he will say this when Beckett and Castle are not talking after their argument about his secret.
Therefore, I guess its not that big a spoiler but at least its a little more about this episode 'always' ! What you guys think?

DeleteJust watched the Ausiello bit and don't bother. They don't confirm it is Castle and the only additional information is that the blind item will take place in the next two weeks.
