so she will get a lead on the shooter and she will say i am going after him! which will force castle to spill the beans about his secret to stop Kate from going cause he will know for a fact that they will kill her if he lets her pursue the lead. then he will say finally to her face that i love you and i cannot let you do this. she will say, i know i feel the same way but i cannot let this one go.... and then of course being hard headed as she is, she will follow the clue and all the 12th will be going upside down to keep up with her and keep her safe
I think thats right but when he reveals his secret they will argue and I think Kate will say something like i trusted u, how could u keep this from me and Castle will be mad at that and say something like u r no better, u kept a secret from me too. I think thats how it will go do then through out the episode they deal with all the emotions that have been finally revealing and dealing with it and the case.
no that sounds like a realistic way of saying that. i think when she says "i trusted u, how could u keep this from me ?" he will then say because i love you! OMG that would be so cute! but the whole emotional part will be when he will say how hurt he was about her not telling him about the whole i remember everything; thats when it will be crazy. the emotional part of everything i think will be the other characters on how they deal with all this. like Kate's father, martha, alexis and the boys. I'm sure it will affect everyone and that will be the emotional part....
anyway this is what i think. any body have any other input on this thought?
I have been wondering if Valdez (? the gang boss in Headhunters)is connected to Beckett's mother's murder and that Kate telling him to leave NY is going to open up a big can of worms. I thought it was sort of random that it was her who got in his face at the end of that episode, so I'm guessing it was to reopen the whole mother's murder/beckett shooting story line. I know the whole "mystery/suspense" thing is good, but at this point I just want Kate and Rick to say they love each other, then go away to some little island for a few months. Kate needs a vacation that doesn't include recovering from a gunshot wound! Come on, Andrew Marlowe -- how about some puppies and fluffy clouds kind of happy for these two (and us)? :) You know we want it.
I don't think Valdez is related... However the guest star may be the shooter... Tahmoh Penikett... Although they say it might be recurring (to throw us off maybe?) I hope its Castle that gets the lead actually, tries to pursue it off the books only Kate finds out as well. I really don't want to see this as a police/team case... But for Castle and Beckett to have some real alone time... I mean we cherish does loft and apartment moments.
I hope the mother'a case is tied up between this episode and the 1st and/or 2nd in Season 5. I think Castle's dad could be the next thing on the Agenda... don't know where this show is going sometimes. If something doesn't happen between them then I hope they both move on (for the time being of course)
yeah. they need a vacation. they have to make up for 4 years of kissing and *** it will be even better for us to see if they are making it up whenever they get a chance
ok how many people here think that Ausiellos Blind Item is going to be Castle and Beckett!! i think it kind of does fit seeing as the first topic talked about at PaleyFest was 'the moment' which i thought was a little odd at the time.... FAROUT!!!!!! ONLY 15 DAYS TO GO!!! -Carina
Carina, I would love that, but I think it isn't them. Ausiello is a troll sometimes...he loves to mess around with fans. Seems a little obvious that it could be them, but I don't think so. The more obvious it seems, the more I think it isn't. Simply because Marlowe would probably keep that under lock and key so fans will be crazy surprised.
I don't know, we have been wrong many a times before in our guesses. Ausiello knows castle fans are just waiting for this moment, so he may be just yanking our chains. I just don't want to get my hopes up.
this episode is so gonna be awsome cant wait for it. Wish May 7th wuld hurry up (also my bday so double excited lol) Now that we have the synopsis hopefully we will get some episode stills soon
These short synopsis always make me think we are going to get a lot more movement on the caskett front than we ever do. Trying nit to get my hopes up to high. But still super excited for the last two episodes of the season. Still hoping ABC gives us another season. Fingers crossed.
I think by saying Castle tries to protect Beckett, it means he knows that if she starts digging, she's going to be killed, so he's somehow trying to pull her out of the case, maybe find ways to get her off track in the case? Ask Gates to take her off the case? Kate won't understand his behaviour and he'll be forced to confess his secret to her in a heated argument. Anyone got the feeling from "the 12th precinct is forever changed", that everyone will know about Beckett and Castle's secrets and feelings? I figured once they become open with their feelings, no one would know about them, that they'd be trying to hide it from everyone and then slowly people find out. I just assume that if Gates knew, she'd fire Castle. Another spoiler said Kate would reassess her future at the precinct, do you think she'd choose to quit if Castle is kicked out? Maybe spend the summer at the hamptons with him (I hope so!). I would love for Kate to be like "I give up on my mom's case, I value my future with Castle more, I've dedicated enough of my life to it, it's time to let it go." So maybe we won't see the case conclude. But I don't think the show needs to drag on her mom's murder till the end of the series, they can close the case now and show us how Beckett changes after to be with Castle, maybe as a wife. Like how in Grey's Anatomy, they killed off Meredith's mom in season 3 and showed us how Meredith lets go of her past and focuses on her future with Derek.
I really really really hope they are the blind item, can you just imagine how crazy the Castle fandom would get? I'm so disappointed that I won't be able to watch the next two episodes when they air because I'm going on vacation, the experience of watching it on the day the episode airs and then seeing how everyone on tumblr, twitter and this blog go crazy is so different and more exciting from watching it a few days later. Anyway ...
EVERYONE, STRAP YOUR SEAT BELTS ON, GET YOUR OXYGEN TANKS READY, MAY 7TH, HISTORY WILL BE MADE ... 2 WEEKS TO GO!!!!!!
Do you really think Beckett would quit and leave? Because that's the whole point of the show. Most likely, we wont see her mom's case resolved until this show has ended for good. I do agree about them hiding their relationship from everyone (especially Gates!! :O)
I don't think when it said Kate will reasses her future means she's going to quit or leave the precinct. I think Kate's going to ask herself which do I want more, Rick or my mom's case? Even if I solve it, will I get closure like other victim's families get?! But would I really risk rick's and mine's lives over this?? Of course it will be no. Kate knows what it's like to loose a parent to murder, and she wouldn't put alexis through that. I think she will ask again am I happy?! I let go of my mom's case when he asked me too, and we have been getting closer except for these last couple of weeks. Can I really still continue to give closure to other families, even though my mom's case will likely never be solved, cause it risks to many lives?? I think that makes Kate reassess her future with the 12th. And I think everybody will be emotional because of their secrets and feelings too. I also think they will be emotional because during this episode they have to revisit the day they almost lost Kate and the whole conspiracy with Roy, and have to deal with both again, since evelyn's coming. I think Rick is going to tell Kate his secret, which is supposed to be at the worst time, so I think it will be after Kate talks to Evelyn. Of course Kate will be mad and hurt., but during the episode we will see Kate ponder many aspects of her life. Does she want Rick badly enough that she is willing to get over his secret? Does she want this life she's been living with for the last 7 months, the one without her mom's case?? Is closure really worth losing her family at the 12th and Rick?? Can she walk away from this case forever?? These will be the questions she ponders. And I think the way they catch the sniper will be the cliffhanger. Like after they deal with the secrets and feelings, Kate goes to tell Rick the answers to the questions she's been pondering, and that their love is worth getting over her mom's case and the lies, and just everything that, but a man will pull her into an alley, and she tries to fight back. While she's fighting and trying to chase the guy, he turns and says your sniper won't miss this time. She turns and sees a gun, and we hear a shot fired. Both Kate and the man drop but Kate gets back up. (Kate dropped from her PTSD of seeing a sniper gun) and we are left to wonder who is behind the gun? Which is rick and he knocked out the real sniper which we all find out in the premiere
Here you go: http://tvline.com/2012/02/26/blind-item-ausiello-hot-tv-couple-sex-may-2012/
Michael Ausiello has said the show is either on ABC or CW, so the top 2 contenders were Beckett and Castle and Damon/Elena on The Vampire Diaries. Last week, though, Ausiello said the couple in question consists of 2 humans which eliminates Damon/Elena bc, as I understand, Damon is a vampire (I think). In addition, Ausiello favorited a tweet in which someone came right out and asked him if it's Beckett and Castle. So, while he can't come out and say it's them, most people think that was his way if confirming it the best he could.
i'm a fan also of the vampire diaries and i can say that the couple that will be together by the end the season, will be castle and beckett because damon and elena they kissed in last episode, but elena still didn't take a decision, anyway i think is about castle and beckett! :D
....but elena must make a decision by the end of the season so could be also about TVD, but it's probably about castle because they haven't kissed yet ! i'm sorry for my english, i'm italian! -Bea
So, I have a theory still taking shape in my mind here, but I'll share what I'm thinking so far.
Ok, so the episode synopsis says Castle is going to try to protect Beckett in her pursuit of the sniper. I think something like this could happen: After all this time, some new leads pop up regarding Beckett's sniper. Of course, she is thrown into a tailspin and starts to run headlong into the case. Castle is alarmed, obviously, because he knows she's putting herself in the crosshairs he's vowed to keep her out of since Montgomery died. His hands are tied here and he has to tell her all he knows and show her his murderboard. He tells her that Montgomery had all this info for a long time and was using it as insurance to keep her safe and alive. It's a lot for her take in...she's shocked...maybe angry...but she doesn't turn her back on him. She actually understands why he did what he did...still, this is Kate Beckett...how can she have this knowledge and not go after this guy?
So, she begins to pursue the sniper. Castle is panicking. He can't talk her out of it, no matter how he begs her. So, he turns to someone he thinks may be able to talk some sense into Beckett; Roy Montgomery's widow, Evelyn. Though she was never supposed to know the true circumstances of Roy's death, Castle explains things to her as gently as he could, tells her he died to save Kate Beckett's life. Evelyn knows how much Roy adored Kate and understands the great sacrifice he made for her, so she comes to the 12th to talk to Kate. She reminds Kate that Roy spent most of his career looking out for her, keeping her safe...he laid down his life to ensure hers would be protected. Evelyn implores Kate not to let Roy's death be in vain.
Kate goes home to her loft to think things through. She wants so badly to go after this guy, but can she do it in good conscience, knowing she would be risking her life again, the life for which Roy Montgomery, her mentor and hero, traded his own to save?
I've heard there was a scene shot that has Beckett fighting off the sniper on her rooftop. So, if that's the case, perhaps the sniper comes after her again. Her guard is down bc she's deep in thought about Montgomery, Evelyn's request, Castle, etc, so he takes her by surprise. She escaped the apartment and runs to the roof. She's scared and trying to get away. He follows her, a fight ensues. Maybe things aren't looking so good for Beckett. Just in the nick of time, though, Castle appears, shoots the sniper. Espo & Ryan race to the roof with back-up, cuff the wounded but still alive sniper, haul him away.
Beckett and Castle are both badly shaken but so relieved she's ok and the sniper is in custody. They're left behind at her place after the boys head back to the 12th. This is when they have a serious heart-to-heart, maybe exchange those 3 little words, and, yes, fall into bed together.
There's gonna be a cliffhanger to end the season. There are pics of something on fire, possibly after an explosion. I wonder if, as Beckett and Castle are in bed, the masterminds of the whole Johanna Beckett case, knowing the sniper is in custody, set off an explosion at the 12th in an attempt to shut him up and keep their identities safe? We leave the season with Beckett and Castle, cuddling after they've made love, being disturbed by a phone call telling them about the explosion...and the suggestion that there are mass casualties...possibly even Ryan and Espo. I'm also wondering if maybe, as Beckett and Castle are in bed, Castle's not answering his phone...and Alexis is trying to find him. She goes to the 12th to see if he's there...and is possibly at the wrong place at the wrong time. Hmm...
Again, this is just what I'm thinking right now. Even as I typed I thought of other variables and avenues to explore. What do you guys think???
Omg this is genius! I'm excited for the possibility...Gosh there's so many possibilities. This could totally make sense. LOL, now I can't stop thinking of all the possibilities!
hmmm, I don't think Castle would go to Evelyn for help, it seems odd. Plus the whole point was to keep Roy's past a secret so his wife and family will always view him as a hero. No I think Evelyn's part is probably Beckett goes to her to ask her questions regarding the case or she goes to Beckett to tell her specific info she found in Roy's things.
OMG!! I love it so much! i think that could happen but, i think also that evelyn goes to beckett because she found some information about Montgomery and his past, and so beckett re-begins to find clues about her mother's murder! The final part that you have written is faboulous! sorry, i'm italian :P
Yes! I have been thinking there would be an explosion at the 12th; thank you for providing a plausible motive. It makes sense with some spoilers that the 'phew, now that's over' has to do with arresting the sniper and the 'omg' moment the explosive cliffhanger.
I sort of suspect Evelyn Montgomery knows more about Roy's activities than one might think... timeline-wise they'd been married for 10 years or so when the Armen stuff went down; I feel like you'd know when something changed so drastically in your spouse's life, like he cut off ties with his mentors...
I think Castle's or Beckett's secrets aren't the only ones which are going to come out. I get the feeling that the change in the precinct will also have something to do with Montgomery's past coming out. It would make a good season end to have Beckett suspended and going rogue with Castle, but then again, that's only how I would end it xD
That's a great theory, would love to see it happen, but I can't stop thinking that maybe the cliffhanger will be Gates, already knowing everything about Montgomerry mess, will suspend Beckett. The Nikki Heat books always hint things that happened or will happen on the show, and in Heat Rises she spent most of the book without her badge.
Somehow, I have a picture of Castle revealing his secret to Beckett. She is so mad she can’t think straight. She paces away from Rick, toward Rick, away from Rick, toward Rick… all the time yelling at him, "How could he do this!!!" He defends himself telling her he knows her secret, that he loves her, that he was trying to protect her and finally she looks at him almost as if she could kill him. She walks up to him looking as if she is going to slap him, but can’t stand it any longer. She grabs his head and gives him an enormous kiss…
I remember AM said he will do something totally different so i don't think that somebody will get hurt i think it will be more that Rick tell her he can't be only her Partner and Friend and he have to leave so Kate have to make a decision if she wants that Relationship or not. About her Future at the 12th.i think it is possible that Gates will suspend her and she is thinking about to leave the 12th.That is enough emotional Stuff don't you think?
If the guest star is playing the sniper has a recurring role - I don't think 1) Castle will shoot him 2) hell be cuffed and taken in. As for Gates, she said her role toward Castle would soften. I'm not so sure shed be be in the know on all the corruption behind Becket's mothers case. As for the blind item - didn't Tamala tweet an OMG about them getting together. I'm hoping that's a yes with a really good make-out session as foreplay. :) as for the rest in AM I trust!
i have a feeling there will be a scene about "just think of the people who love you" scene that we had in the finale of S3? i think they will have a similar condo about that but instead of the people part it will be HIM. like you cannot go and get yourself killed, that will just destroy me because .....I....love you Kate. he has to tell her in person. we are so there at this point. no more tiptoe-ing around. and then maybe they will kiss but after she will tell him that she needs to do this so he will of course say "ok you have no say in this but i will help you, you are not doing this alone" and his family, alexis are gonna be going off the wall worried. everyone at the 12th cause they will have to go rogue. Gates will suspend her at the end and like someone mentioned before, the 12th will explode. i think that is a good idea; didn't they do that on 24?
the mastermind: castle's father. you can book it now. one more thing.. "feelings and secrets are revealed?" really? feelings? im sure even castle wouldn't put that in his book. it just sounds so.. girly? cheesy?
At this point i feel anything could really happen. I have heard something along the lines that kate rethinks her position on the force or she has her badge taken away or something so that leads me to think she will be left very open both physically and emotionally. This could lead to kates snipper seeing this as a chance to attack kate, bc she might have to give up her gun. Having said that if there is a scene where kate ends up on the top of her building she could be running away. If that is true im excited to see how that scene plays out!
I like the idea of rick coming to her rescue, this would just be another great act of love on ricks part. Idk where the explosion comes in i just thought it would be somewhere early on in the episode but as a clif hanger that could work as well.
Idk a part of me does think maybe the two of them will get together just bc of the evidence we have seen and spoiler sites, but a part of me hopes it is done the right way.
I think in the zombie episode i would hope to see some tie into the last episode, maybe kate mentioning that she needs to find closer in her own case if she cant in her mothers. Then we could see ricks reaction or end the episode with a close up of his face, letting us know hes worried about her. I liked how last years ending episodes tied together so i hope this season is no different.
Guys what if Evelyn finds some info about Roy's past and JB's murder and decides to tell Kate, expect she is shot dead in front of Kate and Castle like John Raglan was ... that would be soooo emotional and sad.
Yeah I think the secret they are keeping about Roy will be out and that Kate and Ryan and Espo might be kicked out, except I think Kate will decide to take all the blame and force Ryan and Espo to let her do it. She tells them that she'll be okay, that she's got Castle (this is after her and Castle confessed their love for each other). That she'll go away to the Hamptons with Castle and come back for her sniper's trial in September. They agree. End scene is Gates taking away her badge and saying she is no longer an NYPD cop. That's the cliffhanger, we don't know what'll happen to her. The premiere will be Castle and Beckett coming back to see the trial and Kate will be reassigned as a cop.
Good ideas, but I don't think they will go down the road of having Rick and Kate's early stages of the relationship happening during the summer break. They will know that people will want to see it happen on screen.
I think Rick is going to be forced to reveal his secret as Kate upon discovering who her sniper is will begin tumbling down the rabbit hole just like she did during the finale of Season 3. Many people have predicted that Kate will get mad at Rick for intentionally keeping her away from her mother's case (and also her shooting) and maybe she'll visit her father at some point. If this happens I hope he tells his daughter that he asked Rick to protect her in the days before she was shot. I think this piece of information will calm her right down and will cause her to forgive Rick for what he did, leading to the two of them FINALLY getting their freak on lol. Auseillo said something about some people will have an issue with the show skipping too many beats in terms of the Castle/Beckett relationship (it's pretty obvious that Caskett is who he's referring to), but I think that the relationship between these two has been like a bottle of fizzy that has been heavily shaken up over time. When something triggers that bottle to open (like both of them finally speaking openly about their feelings for each other, coupled with the events that have happened to them since they first met), we are going to see a literal explosion of action between them (possibly rivalling what Nikki and Rook have gotten up to in the Nikki Heat novels lol).
In terms of the Montgomery secret, Captain Gates has shown in the past to be very careful about Police secrets. Remember in Hero's and Villains she didn't want it leaking out that Officer Hastings had been dressing up as Lone Vengeance. I think Captain Gates could possibly try to keep Roy's involvement in this whole conspiracy a secret too to avoid the inevitable bad publicity that would follow if the media ever got hold of it.
I also hope that part of the episode involves Castle realizing what a hypocrite he's being for coming down on Beckett for her secret, when his is a wayyyy bigger deal.
Ya know, i've read numerous variations on how people think this is going to go and ya know what, it almost never happens that way.
I refuse to get my hopes up as in the past, AWM had talked a lot of rubbish and his views on 'progression and revealing of feelings etc' have never been what I expected. I've been left frustrated and soooo disappointed. So, I'll wait patiently (or not) till May 7th and see what happens.
Of course that won't stop me crossing everything that's crossable as I'm a huge Caskett fan.lol.
I have no clue as to how Beckett's case or her mom's case will play out. But for some reason I have a strong feeling that Caskett will get together closer to the end of the episode and since AWM said that Castle is also dealing with Alexis going to college and the empty nest syndrome, I strongly feel they will push it one step further and Castle will propose. And that will be the cliffhanger. That would be emotional and put us Caskett fans over the 12.567 happiness scale. And that would be why Ausiello's blind item said that some people will think that they are skipping too many beats.
I would be SHOCKED if Castle proposed. Given what we know about Kate, I think that would freak her the hell out. At most, I think they'll admit how they feel about each other. I still hold to Castle being the one in the hospital this time around.
I agree, I don't think that we will see a proposal for marriage or anything like that, I think it's more likely we are going to get an acknowledgement from both of them about their feelings for each other and some Caskett getting their freak on ;). You would think that their relationship will eventually lead to marriage. Maybe at or towards the end of Season 5 that could be part of their plan?
above, you mentioned "castle being the one in the hospital this time around." I have been SO curious about the whole Nathan Fillion hospital bed twitter comment. I agree that it should be Castle seriously injured and in the hospital this time, which will FORCE Beckett to get over herself and just admit to Castle how she really feels... I really think Castle needs to be seriously hurt since he's never really been seriously injured and that could be the cliffhanger part...? Anyone have any thoughts on the NF hospital bed tweet???
I am looking at it [the sexual part] as heat-of-the-moment thing. What is going to be interesting to see is how these two [if they do not become a couple right away] how they deal with this. The other thing I am worried about is Castle's safety. Yes, they said they could ensure *Beckett's* safety, but did not mention anything about *Castle* in the deal. It's like playing with fire. You keep yourself within distance of something dangerous, it will burn you. Ugh. So many feels.
You know what, I think that before they let out the synopsis, Andrew Marlowe sat down with the cast and said, "What's a good synopsis that will get everyone thinking of ideas of what will happen in the finale(what everyone's saying here)and then put that synopsis out there. Then we get all these plans about C/B hooking up and people getting hurt, and then BAM the finale comes around and completely shocks us :) So I'm just gonna fangirl but I'm not taking any theories too seriously because I think they're gonna completely surprise us.
Well, I think Castle proposing to Beckett might be too much of a leap, ya know?! (For Beckett's point of view). If nothing else was going on, who knows maybe!!! All a fan girl could do right is to dream and wait patiently... Ugh.
Everyone get ready for another season ending with the two of them not being together. The stage has been set and if you think AM is going to let them be together I have some prime ocean front property in Kansas to see you. Season five will see them doing the almost the exact same thing as season four. I say almost because in season five the difference will be that they know that they love each other. Not going to be make a difference as Marlowe will not let them get together until the very last episode of the series. WAKE UP PEOPLE
go back to sleep. I'm bored of reading how you know everything that's going to happen without having actually seen the episode. You have no idea what Marlowe has planned for the season finale. Nathan and Stana were happy with it. Stop watching a show if it makes you so miserable.
I think you're mistaken. I think Marlowe would put them together, but that doesn't mean that they are going to have no difficulties in their relationship. If they do get together this finale, I would say that there is a lot of trouble and possibly break ups in their future. They are not perfect, and no relationships in the real world are perfect. Also, they will have trouble because Castle has never really assessed his past marriages too deeply, and so he might still be hanging on to something that can come bite him later on in his relationship with Beckett. Also as long as Kate's mom's killer is still out there (which I think after the finale he still will be), there will be difficulty because of the emotional trauma that goes along with Kate. So really, I'd give Marlowe a little more credit than you are, he's created this top show that mostly everyone's loved since it's been out, so he must be doing something right.
AM has already said that he will not wait until the end of the series to put them together. He said that there is still a lot of story to be told once they get together. Check out the Paley Fest Panel!
I don't know. I kind of want Castle to get hurt, or kidnapped or something during this episode. I don`t want him to die, no. He will have gotten hurt protecting Beckett (brownie points), and Beckett will be in shambles trying to get him back to her. I am hoping that at the end of the episode Kate will say ``Hey Castle.`` ``Yeah Kate.`` ``I love you too.`` (Smiles) I would also like to see some Alexis-Kate scenes. I don`t think that we had enough of those this season. Something about protecting her father (Rick). I hope this isn`t too much to ask for from the writers. These are just ideas. I know no matter what happens in the episode, I will be happy. Stana said that Caskett fans will be happy at the end of the season, and I believe her.
Also, question. Is Roy`s wife going to be in this episode? If so, then maybe the characters will have trouble keeping their secret of why he died. That will be something else they need to deal with. Maybe?
I think this will be a reverse ending of season 4. Instead of Castle telling Kate he loves her after she gets shot, first Kate tells Castle she loves him, and right after, something happens to him.
My bday is May 6th. I probably won't even be able to focus!!!!!! Ugh I wish it was May!!!!!!!!!! It is going to be an amazing season finale. No doubt about it!!!!!! God I'm already getting palpitations!!!!
I know, my birthday is May 5th and I could care less about it cause I just want it to be May 7th and be me sitting in front of my tv having a heart attack!
I honestly think a castle will get hurt but not the one we think will. I think something might happen to Alexis. Bomb strapped under the podium she's speaking on, since she has to give the graduation speech or something similar like that.It just seems to simple if only Rick got hurt. But then again Alexis and Kate would have more tension if Rick got hurt and we could get to see how they react To that and have to get through that together. Whatever the cliffhanger is, I bet that alexis graduation speech plays before it. And right before she says the last line to the speech, the cliffhanger happens, and then we get the last line of the speech.
like " My family has been through alot, like murder, heart break..." and thans maybe the prcinctt blows up. and the last lines is "and even bombs" and than the principal whispers into her ear tell ing her that he got a call about the explosion at the 12th... and DUN DUN DUN!
Or she something like my family has been through a lot. I'm not just talking about my dad and gram but the people at the 12th. A lot of us see graduating at a point in our lives, the first step to adulthood. With that step we get so excited that we want to do it alone. We want to make our parents proud of us. But the truth is we do, do that. Working at the 12th had taught me that doing something that matters, just makes you feel happy. We all get so caught up in trying to be happy and take the first step that we put our family on the backburner on the while to focus on our future. But the truth is no matter what we do, if we are lazy, or a workaholic, they love us and are always there for us. We can't just get so caught up on our work to forget about them because the first step to adulthood isn't getting a job or graduating, it when we show the people who are our family that we love them. That we will be there for them. Wondering if only, will only make us regret not seizing our opprutunities. We should always show it, because after all....nobody's tomorrow is guaranteed.
I've got a couple little insights... I haven't been a huge fan of this arc, mainly because I think it's stupid to make it seem like Kate, a highly-skilled detective, couldn't put two and two together about confessing her secret in 47 Seconds & Castle's behavior, but I'm putting up with it because I think the finale is going to be amazing. I have faith in AM, I hope he pulls through! I don't think AM is planning on hurting Castle or Beckett in the finale as the cliffhanger because that would be too much like last season. And definitely not hurting Alexis, because that would without a doubt push Castle away from the precinct for good. Plus, I'm 100% sure that the blind item is referring to Castle & Beckett (woohoo!!!!). And Stana and Nathan have both said that Caskett shippers will be VERY happy and that next season will be returning to the fun that we saw in the first seasons, so I don't think the cliffhanger will leave anyone in danger. The spoilers for the season 3 finale were described as "dark", I haven't heard anything along those lines in regards to Always. Just "emotional," which could be good. :) I saw on another message board that when someone asked a source at TVLine about the finale, they said something about how it's gonna be so good that there won't be any doubts about a season 5. I can't wait!!!
I'm also predicting that we'll see Kate's sniper at the very end of 'Undead Again' as a mini-cliffhanger leading us into the finale. There's just so much that's supposed to happen in the finale I'm not sure how they're going to fit it all in!
what if the season finale ends up with castle getting shot and beckett holding him and saying i love you just when castle's lights out? then season 5 starts out with castle in the hospital, recovering. then telling beckett he needs time. castle goes quiet for several months until beckett finds him in a crime scene where she was assigned to. castle in the wrong place at the wrong time. he's set free from the box then beckett asks him about the shooting. but, castle doesn't remember anything from the shooting. or does he? now that would be a cool storyline.
thats basically putting season 3 and 4 cliffhangers and premieres together. They would do a repeat. they've already done this it just be with castle shot, becketts declare of love, not sure if he remembers, time and space between them, and castle at a crime scene with a gun looking like his a murderer. yea, they've done this and it be dumb if they did it again. lol
Not gonna happen. Marlowe has already said that they're going to do a different kind of finale that we haven't seen this show do before. That's a direct copy of the Season 3 finale.
Let's think back to the Season 4 finale. Evelyn Montgomery knows zilch about the details surrounding her husband's death, and no one ever explained why his best cop and friend, Kate, was SHOT at his funeral. So my guess is, Evelyn coming back is more to get the answers she never had. She may even ask to reopen the case, forcing Kate to reopen the case as ordered by Captain Gates, who has no idea that Captain Montgomery and Johanna Beckett's deaths were connected.
Kate, once again, becomes obsessed, maybe Evelyn can give her the hint she needs to find the killer. She gets angry and upset and goes rogue.
Meanwhile, the man who is giving Castle information contacts Castle. With case being active again, Kate is in grave danger.
Kate thinks shes found a new lead, perhaps planted by Castle to lead her in the wrong direction, and leaves the precinct, but Castle declines to tag along. While she's away Castle reports Kates rogue behavior to Gates, figuring that if he gets her kicked off the case, he can protect her somehow.
Kate comes back, and despite Castle's attempt to throw her, she finds new details that will help her solve the case. She comes back, excited and determined and finds Castle waiting at her desk. He's down and guilty about what he did, but Kate doesn't even see it, when he tries to tell her about what Gates is about to tell her, she demands him to shut up, she's been trying to talk to him about how she feels and he always changes the subject before she even starts. Thats when she tells him she loves him and at that moment Gates calls her into her office, and Kate pecks him on the cheek, practically glowing. Castle tries to stop her so he can explain, but its too late.
Gates gives him a look as she closes the door behind them and turns her back to get behind her desk. But you can see Kates face as she hears the news that shes being kicked off the case, and when she asks why, claiming she's so close, Gates tells her that Castle told her about how shes been handling the case. You see castle watching them and Kate stops yelling, gives him a glare and storms out of the precinct, Castle tries to stop her and explain, and finally catches her on the elevator.
He explains what he's been hiding from her about her mother's case. She is furious and asks how he could hide this from her, which he replies by asking how she could hide the fact the she heard his "i love you". She is shocked. and he explains how he heard. Then she gets even more PO'd and asks if that was why he had been acting like a jackass and why he didn't just say something. The screaming match ends with Kate saying something like, "I thought I could trust you."
She leaves him on the elevator and we watch the doors shut with a frustrated Castle still inside. We follow Kate to her car, and as she closes the door, (given ample time for Castle to get back to the precinct) the 12th explodes and Kate watches in horror as almost everything she cares about goes up in ash.
(^^That would be the worst time for their secrets to come out)
Alexis, at home, gets a call that her interning needs are required, and she arrives at the scene only to discover the precinct in flames, and Beckett practically in tears, with the fireman and policeman from another part of town.
Alexis runs to Beckett demanding to know whats happening, where her father is, and Beckett says nothing.
Alexis yells at her to get ahold of herself and screams they have to do something. Beckett, given up hope, says they won't let anyone into the building. Alexis gives Beckett an inspirational talk about how thats never stopped her before and something like, my dad went into a building burning to save you, and if you love him, youd do the same for him.
So the two brave the flames and find their way to the 12th, where they find everyone somehow safe (I would hope), and Beckett finds Castle, who tells her that the bomber is still in the building, and Beckett goes off in search of him as Alexis helps everyone back to safety, including Castle, who is too hurt to help Beckett.
Beckett finds herself on the roof and that is where the fight between her and the sniper takes place. And in the end, she uses something funny and witty she learned from Castle to take him down, she has no choice but to shoot him in self defense.
Camera shifts to the rest of the gang, safe and sound, and everyone else who was evacuated across the street or being loaded into ambulances, where they realize that Beckett is still in the building.
Flash back to Kate, who is getting ready to come down from the roof when the building collapses with Kate still on top.
Maybe it ends there... OR
the screen goes black and it ends with the two of them in hospital beds right next to each other, Beckett just waking up to see Castle joking around with the gang, Martha, Alexis and her father.
Theres some small chat, until a nurse comes in and says they need their rest (cliche, I know) and then they turn to each other, and after a some silence and smiling, one says, "I love you." and the other says "Always."
I love that ending, idk if it will all go down like that but i can picture kate saying i love u finally responding to ricks i love you and then rick with a smile saying always! Ughh i would die
I dont know what will happen with Becketts shooting and Mothers murder will play out but i have a slight idea that the victim will be killed the same way becketts mother was so it will lead into that but for CASKETT, i think that Castle will tell Beckett about his secret after she finds out how tthe victim was killed and she gets a little mad but then remembers her secret and rushes to him,to say she sorry and as she does it will be like a pause and then i think they would hug but then when they are about to let go they kiss and have a heart to heart after word... and we will just hope for the best
Question. During `Rise` or one of the other cases regarding Kate`s shooting and everything else, didn`t they have a picture of Castle saying something about if they want to get to Beckett, first they need to get him out of the way? Or is that just my imagination?
Do you mean the picture of Castle that Mr. Smith had? Because there was a picture of Castle on his desk when he opened the package from Monty. It's unclear as to whether the photo was in the package or if Smith had it previously. I don't recall hearing anyone on the show saying they need Castle out of the way to get to Beckett, although that's a pretty true statement. Remember, Castle is being used as a pawn by the "good guys" to keep Beckett out of trouble, so the "bad guys" would need to get him out of the way if they want Beckett to investigate her shooting again, giving them the opportunity to finish her off.
I think Roy Montgomery intentionally placed a photo of Rick in that package he sent to Mr Smith. Remember he told Rick back in Knockout that he couldn't make Kate stand down and that only Rick could. He knew he had found Kate a guardian to watch over and protect her in Rick, the moment he no longer could. The whole friendship with the mayor thing that allowed Rick to shadow Kate for so long was obviously a cover for Roy as he saw how much Kate was changing in Rick's presence and he knew she wouldn't play ball if it was only him that allowed Rick's presence. I suspect there would've been something else, a letter maybe, along with the picture of Rick in that package, asking Mr Smith to use Rick to protect Kate.
Gates (in Rise) said something about it being a cold day in hell before she'd let a cop investigate her own shooting. Her precinct is no place for vendettas, right? So, maybe once this case leads back to Beckett's shooter, she gets kicked off the case. She could go after him on her own (reconsidering her future with the force?).
Also, maybe the sniper gets shot and ends up in a hospital bed (in a coma or not)... Smith was dressed as a doctor in Rise; if he has that kind of access, he could take care of things as he saw fit.
I'm on a break at uni right now and just blew off lunch with some friends so I could do a Castle spoiler search in the study lab. Seriously, what has my life become?! I'm so excited for the fact that 8 days from now, we get the Always promo!! Ahhhh I can't wait!!
To Elena, in an above post with ur theory of the finale u said that u heard there was a scene shot with Beckett and the sniper on her rooftop... WHAT WHAT WHAT where did u hear that?? :D i was meant to stay spoiler free but i accidentally read it ;) -Carina
No offense or anything, but if I really wanted to stay spoiler free, I would be staying away from these spoiler sites. I know it's hard.. I can't do it myself. Just some advice though..
ok sorry i worded that wrong...sneak peek free because i already knew/know too much for it to be spoiler free :) i just dont want to see any actual footage thats all
I read Elena’s Post at (Apr 22, 2012 09:56 AM) and it seems quite nice, that said I wouldn’t be a fan if I didn’t share my theories. Regardless of how ridiculous some of them might be.
Kate will get a clue about the sniper and dives down the rabbit hole again. This will set off Castle’s alarm and he’ll do something drastic to try and get her to pull back before she gets herself killed. (Wild Idea: Get Her Suspended or Tarnish Roy’s memory)
Castle will be having an argument about her going down the rabbit hole again and he’ll need to explain why she can’t. He’ll out his secret in explaining that he doesn’t want to lose her and that right now she’s been safe thanks to Roy’s insurance policy she’ll throw the fact that he’s been looking into it himself placing the crosshairs on himself, and his family back at him. She’s going to be hell bent on getting justice, so he will mention that Roy’s insurance policy protects both Roy’s family and her.
Kate will be angry and upset with Castle, looking for perspective she’ll go see Evelyn. She knows her actions could put the crosshairs back on Roy’s family. Kate and Evelyn will have a long conversation about what it means to love someone and want to protect them. Evelyn will tell Kate she knew her husband was tortured by past mistakes and regrets. She’ll urge Kate to do what she needs to.
In the aftermath Kate will go to Castle and tell him that she’s found her spot and she’s going to make her stand asking him if he’ll stand with her. He replies Always. A passionate kiss leads to love making.
They will find the sniper who shot her dead and any evidence to who hired him will be on fire. Fade to black,
Giving us Caskett, a cliffhanger, and a new twist for next season.
Over the hiatus they will be digging deeper to find out but will not have much success, Season Five will start with Kate letting it go only to realize that she’s been in a relationship with Castle all summer and nothing’s really happened. This sets a tone for a lighter Season 5 much like seasons 1 &2; allowing the wirters to move on to Castle’s dad, 3XK, and other stories. Leaving the Johanna Beckett case unsolved is, in my opinion, a better idea than solving it since if they solve it the character of beckett becomes just another female cop.
I realize that I’m missing details (Ryan and Espo) and the contiguousness of my speculation is less than stellar; but I don’t believe that precludes it from happening in this or a similar manner.
P.S. If my speculation has given rise to a desire to use my ideas in fan fiction please feel free. I ask only that you credit ‘White Pawn’ for the idea in the summary. He helped me with this post.
I don't think they're going to leave the JB case unsolved. Why would the writers invest all this time going deeper into it if they're only going to leave us hanging and never find out who the dragon is? That seems like a big waste to me. I really think we're coming to the end of the JB case, and seeing as Beckett finally discovers who her sniper is, I'm guessing the case will be wrapped up in "Always," or in early season 5.
I have to ask why you think that solving the JB case makes Kate any less of a cop. She's still driven woman with killer instincts. That's not going to change as soon as she finds her mother's murderer. Kate has changed over the seasons, largely due to Castle, but she'll always have the demons of her mother's murder to deal with. She's been working towards closure this whole season, but she's still essentially the same person she's always been. When her mother's murder is finally put to rest, Kate won't turn into some average cop. She'll always be extraordinary.
I am with the original poster that I don't think they solve her mother's case in this episode. I think that they catch the sniper in this episode and more things come into play but don't solve the entire Johanna Beckett case. First, this case plays too big of a role for the show to be solved before the final season. Second this case is very complicated with a lot of powerful people involved. Just catching the sniper is going to be extremely difficult and dangerous, while also having to deal with Castle's secrets and their feelings towards one another. So I feel it will take the entire episode to catch the sniper and I just don't see them having to sniper rat on the dragon and it all being over like that.
I simplified my point a lot in my first post so I’ll try and tease out my reasoning for opposing a resolution to the JB case as best I can.
Once Kate solves the JB case a part of her will disappear. In my opinion, it’s the part of her that makes her truly extraordinary. She’s extraordinary because she’s trying to move forward without the closure of solving her mother’s case. Moving on is hard, doing it without knowing who or why is excruciating. Solving the case turns Kate’s impossible task into something average.
From a writing stand point it would be lunacy in my opinion to solve the JB case. Right now the JB case provides us with a story arc, over the last 4 seasons we’ve learned a little bit more every season. If you solve it, what’s your next arc? Castle’s father is a weak story arc. It’s not compelling; they aren’t trying to find justice they’re just curious. Without a compelling story arc the show is little more than an episodic crime/mystery show staring a quirky and unconventional couple. Having a goal for your characters is important with out the JB case what’s Kate’s goal?
Solving the JB case takes away Kate’s raison d’être. What goal could she have after solving her mother’s case that isn’t shared by completely average people or average cops?
Being driven and having good instincts are normal skills for a cop and we all have demons. Without a unique or compelling goal Kate’s just another cop; despite her exceptional skill.
Hi, Anon 11:28 here. I agree with you that I don't think the JB case should (or will) be solved during Always. It's too pivotal to the series, and frankly, the case has gotten so complicated that only super fans (like the ones on this site) are going to understand it- casual viewers most likely won't have a clue what's going on. We really need a decent catch- up episode to straighten out the details, and Always is shaping up to be packed to the brim with secrets, feelings, and angst. I think we'll catch the sniper, but the case will remain unsolved for now.
I do think that the JB case will be solved during season 5. It's been stretched throughout 4 seasons already, and there's only so far the writers can take it. I don't believe that closing this case will be the death of the show, or the death of Kate's character. She has already been working towards putting her mother's case to rest in her own mind all season. Once the case is solved, Kate will still have goals, they'll just be different. She wants put her mother's murder behind her and focus on being "more than who she is". She wants to move forward in her life, and move forward with Castle. They are all worthy goals.
Castle didn't call Kate extraordinary because her mother was killed. He called her extraordinary because of her compassion, because she cares, because she is driven to find justice for the victims and their families. Those qualities were certainly derived from Kate's past experience with her mother's murder, but they're not going to suddenly vanish as soon as the case is solved. She'll still be that cop, and not every average cop has those qualities, as it's been pointed out many times in the series. Look at Det. Slaughter, John Raglan, Gary McCallister, the cop from episode 1x05, and even Mike Royce. None of them has/had her drive or compassion. Some of them may have been decent cops at one point, but each either attempted to squeeze their cases into a box, or were involved in crime themselves. Kate isn't like that. She's special.
When Johanna's murder is finally solved, Kate is not going to be average or ordinary. She'll always be extraordinary in the fact that she's decided not to be defined by her mother's murder, and she'll be an even better cop because of it.
Anon 09:58, thank you for stating all of that so elegantly. I tend to agree with all of your assumptions and definitely with all your points re: Beckett. (Best homicide Montgomery's trained, bar none; youngest woman to make detective according to Gates). She digs for the truth, even when there's something easier that fits into the box, as has been shown with the cops you've mentioned and more. It's also what makes her utilize/appreciate Castle's insights; talk about thinking outside the box. Castle told her she was extraordinary, because she never gives up. That won't change, no matter the status of her mother's case.
She was Stanford pre-law and had aspirations to the Supreme Court; she was driven long before her mother's murder. That certainly affected decisions Beckett made, but it is not the only thing that makes her the extradinary person she is.
Beckett has expressed that she doesn't know who she is without being defined by the hunt for her mother's murderer, but between Castle and therapy, I think we've seen her come to the realization that she is so much more than that. And even that level of self-examination adds to her extraordinariness. In short, I think Beckett has been afraid of just what Anon 02:09 said, that a part of her will disappear, and perhaps she'll cease being the extraordinary cop/person she is. And I think that she's discovered that is wrong.
Beckett sees sniper. Draws her gun but is too slow. Sniper shoots. BAM. Beckett wakes up on hi-tech bed with various sensors taped to her head and limbs.
Would you like another session miss? asks the technican at Rekal, Incorporated
I think it's a reference to the 1990 movie "Totall Recall" or the short story that inspired it.
In the story there is a company called "Rekal". People go there and pay to get memories implanted into their brains in order to experience exciting things in a simulation-like environment.
I really really do not want to think anything right now. All I want to do is WAIT. Wait for "Always" coz I really trust Creators than me and my wild thoughts on Caskett. LOL.
Yes, I agree. One hour doesn't seem like enough time to:
-re-open Cpt. Montgomery's case & chat with his wife -resolve all of the Castle-Beckett secrets & emotional fallout -fight & maybe take down the sniper -take the Caskett relationship to the next level -have Alexis graduate & Castle wrestle with empty-nest syndrome -deal with an explosion & resulting giant fire -feel threatened by the tough, military guest star -give Ryan, Espo, Lanie, Gates, Martha, and even Jim Beckett a little bit of screen time between all the Caskett emotional drama -throw in a shocking cliffhanger at the end!
So, somehow they will fit all or most of that stuff into "Always"...lol. I'm not sure how they will do it but I am really looking forward to the outcome :).
Well I guess it'll have to do. I can imagine the summary on the TV programme: An explosion & resulting giant fire makes them re-open Cpt. Montgomery's case & chat with his wife, who is invited to Alexis graduation (Aren't they lovely?), where we see Castle wrestle with empty-nest syndrome. Then they fight & maybe take down the sniper (What a graduation!)while feeling threatened by the tough, military guest star. but not to worry, we've got Ryan, Espo, Lanie, Gates, Martha, and even Jim Beckett there, so they are pushed to resolve all of the Castle-Beckett secrets & emotional fallout before taking the Caskett relationship to the next level (At home, not at the graduation, you sick!) just before a shocking cliffhanger.
This is kind of random but: anyone think Martha might fall sick/get put in the hospital?
Since they filmed at the hospital set..we know someone will be injured over the next two episodes.
To me, Castle getting shot/critically injured seems to be too close of a repeat to the season 3 finale...so my guess is Castle will be in danger but not get a serious injury.
I also don't think Alexis will get hurt..that would break Castle's spirit completely & probably cause him to do something rash.
Martha getting injured/sick seems like balance between several extremes...also if she's at home all the time how will Castle & Beckett get any privacy at his place?
I think that's plausible. It might make Alexis choose a college in NY to stay close. It might also cause a Castle/Beckett summer separation if Beckett goes off dragon hunting or something, but Castle needs to stay close to care for Martha. Kind of a, "Will you be here when I get back?... Always."
'Trapper John' from cops and robbers survived. He's the guy who shot Beckett. His returning to New York for the Job? One of those random Castle verse coincidences.
I don't think this season will have Castle saying "I love you" again.. He firmly believes that Kate feels nothing for him and he knows that she heard. I hope he doesn't say it as I'm tired of seeing Castle waiting or trying. I hope it's more intense and passion driven. Kate goes after the killer Castle tries to stop or sabotage the case... Kate feels betrayed and asks why, Castle spills the beans and Kate hates him for it. Until Castle gets hurt or is in danger... Then she tells him somehow.
Castle's motivation behind keeping Kate safe/his secret is his love for her; how is he supposed to 'spill the beans' without restating his love? I mean, the answer to the "why" is "because I love you".
Okay, call me crazy, but I have a theory that's been bouncing around in my head for the past couple of weeks. I feel a bit like a detective myself, the way I've been gathering evidence to support my theory, so ... here goes. - First, Stana and Nathan have both said that Caskett fans will be really happy by the end of the season. - Also, Tamala Jones says that at the end of the finale, we'll be really happy, then BAM, cliffhanger - "did that really just happen??" - Jon Huertas said what happens with Castle and Beckett will surprise fans more than they have ever been. - Andrew Marlowe said that Kate comes to realize what she wants and what she doesn't want. Also, he commented that Kate wants an "authentic, real relationship" and that Castle and Beckett aren't going to just have a "roll in the hay". - In the "blind item spoiler" that was just released, it says that some fans will think it's "too soon". - Then, going back to a couple of episodes from this season, is it possible that there was some foreshadowing going on? Look at the Cuffed episode. I personally think their whole experience there was an analogy for marriage. From the handcuffs on their LEFT hands, to the bickering, to working together as a team to break down the wall, to Rick stepping up to protect Kate with his "get behind me" comment, I think there was a lot in this episode. And may I say, this was my favourite episode of the season. Then, after they got rescued, Rick's remark, "If I ever have to be HITCHED to anyone again, it would be you." In the Till Death Do Us Part episode, Kate asked Rick, "If we were getting married, would you want to know about all the guys that I've slept with?" The fact that she would even say such a thing and that he didn't even flinch at her saying "if we were getting married" tells me their relationship has come a long way. The thing that jumped out at him was the word ALL. He says, "How many are we talking?" To me, this whole exchange says a lot about where they are with each other. Also, in the last scene of the episode, Rick says, "I kind of envy him.", and Kate says, "Who knows, Castle, maybe third time's a charm?" and Castle says, "Yeah, could be. Shall we?" and she takes his arm and they walk up the aisle together. (while a few notes of "Here Comes the Bride plays) - Lastly, today when the still photos from the finale came out, there's a pic of Rick and Kate, in a church, with a priest. ...guess my post is too long, so I'll have to continue it below... JM
Need I say more? I have had this funny feeling that they may actually get married in the finale. I mean, what could make us really happy, but be really surprising at the same time? Will we be surprised if they admit they love each other? Hardly. Will we be surprised if they kiss, or even if they sleep together? Not likely. But wouldn't we be surprised if they dove right into marriage? I would call that surprising!! Also, the comment about what Kate wants and doesn't want. I would say she wants a stable, committed relationship, not a "your place or mine" set-up. Maybe I'm wrong, and I'm reading too much into everything, but this is just where my head has gone for the past couple of weeks. Like the rest of you, I don't know how they're going to fit all of this stuff into a one hour show. I have a feeling we may all be hyperventilating by the time it's over. My thought was that the wedding would be at the end of the episode, and of course, EVERYONE would be there. Then, whatever this cliffhanger is (bomb, or shooting, or something drastic so we don't know who is hurt till next season) would happen. I'm also wondering if Alexis would get injured, because they need to find some way to keep her on the show. If she goes off to Stanford University, we wouldn't see much of her. But if she were hurt, she wouldn't be able to go to university right away. Maybe she would decide to take courses at a more local university while she recovered. That was just another thought I had. Anyway, that's all from me for tonight. Anyone agree? Disagree? Think I'm crazy for thinking such a thing?? If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I just love coming up with all these scenarios of what could happen. But I'm SO ready to see these last 2 episodes. BRING THEM ON!!! JM
And I know I said it before, but I still can't wait to see Rick's face when Kate finally does tell him she loves him. I think at this point, he's going to be so surprised, that the look that's going to cross his face is going to be priceless!! JM
I can't wait until May 7th! It's killing me.
ReplyDeleteMay 7th where are u ?!!
ReplyDeletebetween may 6th and may 8th :P lol
DeleteLOL
DeleteI can't wait! i hope that there will be more than a kiss!
ReplyDeleteIf they don't hurry up with the relationship ppl will desert this show.....
DeleteI can't wait either, but once it is here, we will have to wait a long time till the next series, hoping that they do one
ReplyDeleteI think they are
DeletePlus there's supposed 2 be a big season finale cliffhanger, like last season, so we'll have to wait forever for that too.
DeleteSO. EXCITED. BEYOND. WORDS.
ReplyDeleteso she will get a lead on the shooter and she will say i am going after him! which will force castle to spill the beans about his secret to stop Kate from going cause he will know for a fact that they will kill her if he lets her pursue the lead. then he will say finally to her face that i love you and i cannot let you do this. she will say, i know i feel the same way but i cannot let this one go....
ReplyDeleteand then of course being hard headed as she is, she will follow the clue and all the 12th will be going upside down to keep up with her and keep her safe
DeleteI don't think it is going to be that simple. remember they said it is very emotional.
Deleteno that sounds like a realistic way of saying that. i think when she says "i trusted u, how could u keep this from me ?" he will then say because i love you!
Deleteanyway this is what i think.
any body have any other input on this thought?
ReplyDeleteI don't think Valdez is related...
DeleteI hope the mother'a case is tied up between this episode and the 1st and/or 2nd in Season 5. I think Castle's dad could be the next thing on the Agenda... don't know where this show is going sometimes. If something doesn't happen between them then I hope they both move on (for the time being of course)
I think we'll see the guy from Headhunters again. No way they had Beckett have that talk for nothing.
Deleteyeah. they need a vacation. they have to make up for 4 years of kissing and ***
Deleteit will be even better for us to see if they are making it up whenever they get a chance
I'm can't wait for undead again.
ReplyDeleteLol JOKES- feelings are revealed... HURRY UP MAY FREAKIN 7TH!!
These short little two sentences promise so much progression.
I won't even care if theres not as much in undead again.
ok how many people here think that Ausiellos Blind Item is going to be Castle and Beckett!! i think it kind of does fit seeing as the first topic talked about at PaleyFest was 'the moment' which i thought was a little odd at the time....
ReplyDeleteFAROUT!!!!!!
DeleteI don't know, we have been wrong many a times before in our guesses. Ausiello knows castle fans are just waiting for this moment, so he may be just yanking our chains. I just don't want to get my hopes up.
Malaysian fan...
this episode is so gonna be awsome cant wait for it. Wish May 7th wuld hurry up (also my bday so double excited lol) Now that we have the synopsis hopefully we will get some episode stills soon
ReplyDeleteWhat a great birthday gift. Happy early birthday to you! =)
DeleteThank you :-) and yep defintly a great birthday gift especially if they get together lol
DeleteUndead Again, airs on my birthday, then 7 more days until Always
DeleteThese short synopsis always make me think we are going to get a lot more movement on the caskett front than we ever do. Trying nit to get my hopes up to high. But still super excited for the last two episodes of the season. Still hoping ABC gives us another season. Fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure Castle has been confirmed for a fifth season.
DeleteI think by saying Castle tries to protect Beckett, it means he knows that if she starts digging, she's going to be killed, so he's somehow trying to pull her out of the case, maybe find ways to get her off track in the case?
ReplyDeleteI really really really hope they are the blind item, can you just imagine how crazy the Castle fandom would get?
DeleteI don't think when it said Kate will reasses her future means she's going to quit or leave the precinct.
DeleteWhat's this blind item people are talking about? what interview or spoiler did yall get this from? where can i find it? read it? watch it?
ReplyDeleteHere you go: http://tvline.com/2012/02/26/blind-item-ausiello-hot-tv-couple-sex-may-2012/
DeleteMichael Ausiello has said the show is either on ABC or CW, so the top 2 contenders were Beckett and Castle and Damon/Elena on The Vampire Diaries. Last week, though, Ausiello said the couple in question consists of 2 humans which eliminates Damon/Elena bc, as I understand, Damon is a vampire (I think). In addition, Ausiello favorited a tweet in which someone came right out and asked him if it's Beckett and Castle. So, while he can't come out and say it's them, most people think that was his way if confirming it the best he could.
thankz
Deletei'm a fan also of the vampire diaries and i can say that the couple that will be together by the end the season, will be castle and beckett because damon and elena they kissed in last episode, but elena still didn't take a decision, anyway i think is about castle and beckett! :D
Delete....but elena must make a decision by the end of the season so could be also about TVD, but it's probably about castle because they haven't kissed yet ! i'm sorry for my english, i'm italian! -Bea
DeleteSo, I have a theory still taking shape in my mind here, but I'll share what I'm thinking so far.
ReplyDeleteOk, so the episode synopsis says Castle is going to try to protect Beckett in her pursuit of the sniper.
I LOVE IT! YES HAVE THEM DO THAT! LOL
DeleteOmg this is genius! I'm excited for the possibility...Gosh there's so many possibilities. This could totally make sense. LOL, now I can't stop thinking of all the possibilities!
Deletehmmm, I don't think Castle would go to Evelyn for help, it seems odd. Plus the whole point was to keep Roy's past a secret so his wife and family will always view him as a hero. No I think Evelyn's part is probably Beckett goes to her to ask her questions regarding the case or she goes to Beckett to tell her specific info she found in Roy's things.
DeleteOMG!! I love it so much! i think that could happen but, i think also that evelyn goes to beckett because she found some information about Montgomery and his past, and so beckett re-begins to find clues about her mother's murder! The final part that you have written is faboulous! sorry, i'm italian :P
DeleteYes! I have been thinking there would be an explosion at the 12th; thank you for providing a plausible motive. It makes sense with some spoilers that the 'phew, now that's over' has to do with arresting the sniper and the 'omg' moment the explosive cliffhanger.
DeleteI sort of suspect Evelyn Montgomery knows more about Roy's activities than one might think... timeline-wise they'd been married for 10 years or so when the Armen stuff went down; I feel like you'd know when something changed so drastically in your spouse's life, like he cut off ties with his mentors...
where can i see the fire photos?
DeleteI think Castle's or Beckett's secrets aren't the only ones which are going to come out. I get the feeling that the change in the precinct will also have something to do with Montgomery's past coming out. It would make a good season end to have Beckett suspended and going rogue with Castle, but then again, that's only how I would end it xD
ReplyDeleteThat's a great theory, would love to see it happen, but I can't stop thinking that maybe the cliffhanger will be Gates, already knowing everything about Montgomerry mess, will suspend Beckett. The Nikki Heat books always hint things that happened or will happen on the show, and in Heat Rises she spent most of the book without her badge.
ReplyDeleteYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY I'M SOOOOOOO EXCITEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
ReplyDeleteSomehow, I have a picture of Castle revealing his secret to Beckett.
ReplyDeleteI like this idea :D
DeleteI remember AM said he will do something totally different so i don't think that somebody will get hurt i think it will be more that Rick tell her he can't be only her Partner and Friend and he have to leave so Kate have to make a decision if she wants that Relationship or not. About her Future at the 12th.i think it is possible that Gates will suspend her and she is thinking about to leave
ReplyDeletethe 12th.That is enough emotional Stuff don't you think?
If the guest star is playing the sniper has a recurring role - I don't think 1) Castle will shoot him 2) hell be cuffed and taken in. As for Gates, she said her role toward Castle would soften. I'm not so sure shed be be in the know on all the corruption behind Becket's mothers case. As for the blind item - didn't Tamala tweet an OMG about them getting together. I'm hoping that's a yes with a really good make-out session as foreplay. :) as for the rest in AM I trust!
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, Lockwood was recurring, despite being arrested. And I seem to recall at least one character surviving a shooting, as well... ;)
Deletei have a feeling there will be a scene about "just think of the people who love you" scene that we had in the finale of S3? i think they will have a similar condo about that but instead of the people part it will be HIM. like you cannot go and get yourself killed, that will just destroy me because .....I....love you Kate.
ReplyDeletehe has to tell her in person. we are so there at this point. no more tiptoe-ing around.
and then maybe they will kiss but after she will tell him that she needs to do this so he will of course say "ok you have no say in this but i will help you, you are not doing this alone" and his family, alexis are gonna be going off the wall worried. everyone at the 12th cause they will have to go rogue. Gates will suspend her at the end and like someone mentioned before, the 12th will explode. i think that is a good idea; didn't they do that on 24?
the mastermind: castle's father. you can book it now. one more thing.. "feelings and secrets are revealed?" really? feelings? im sure even castle wouldn't put that in his book. it just sounds so.. girly? cheesy?
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts..
ReplyDeleteAt this point i feel anything could really happen.
Cany wait to see what happends!!!!!!
Guys what if Evelyn finds some info about Roy's past and JB's murder and decides to tell Kate, expect she is shot dead in front of Kate and Castle like John Raglan was ... that would be soooo emotional and sad.
ReplyDeleteYeah I think the secret they are keeping about Roy will be out and that Kate and Ryan and Espo might be kicked out, except I think Kate will decide to take all the blame and force Ryan and Espo to let her do it.
DeleteI think Rick is going to be forced to reveal his secret as Kate upon discovering who her sniper is will begin tumbling down the rabbit hole just like she did during the finale of Season 3.
ReplyDeleteYa know, i've read numerous variations on how people think this is going to go and ya know what, it almost never happens that way.
ReplyDeleteI refuse to get my hopes up as in the past, AWM had talked a lot of rubbish and his views on 'progression and revealing of feelings etc' have never been what I expected. I've been left frustrated and soooo disappointed. So, I'll wait patiently (or not) till May 7th and see what happens.
Of course that won't stop me crossing everything that's crossable as I'm a huge Caskett fan.lol.
Such a big fan, I can not be so much crap like AVM has told.
ReplyDeleteI have no clue as to how Beckett's case or her mom's case will play out.
ReplyDeleteI would be SHOCKED if Castle proposed. Given what we know about Kate, I think that would freak her the hell out.
DeleteAt most, I think they'll admit how they feel about each other.
I still hold to Castle being the one in the hospital this time around.
that would be really possible! a big step for them both and for the show!
DeleteI agree, I don't think that we will see a proposal for marriage or anything like that, I think it's more likely we are going to get an acknowledgement from both of them about their feelings for each other and some Caskett getting their freak on ;). You would think that their relationship will eventually lead to marriage. Maybe at or towards the end of Season 5 that could be part of their plan?
Deleteabove, you mentioned "castle being the one in the hospital this time around." I have been SO curious about the whole Nathan Fillion hospital bed twitter comment.
DeleteCopying this from my spoilertv post:
ReplyDeleteI am looking at it [the sexual part] as heat-of-the-moment thing.
Then we get all these plans about C/B hooking up and people getting hurt, and then BAM the finale comes around and completely shocks us :)
DeleteSo I'm just gonna fangirl but I'm not taking any theories too seriously because I think they're gonna completely surprise us.
that sentence just rocked my world!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, I think Castle proposing to Beckett might be too much of a leap, ya know?! (For Beckett's point of view). If nothing else was going on, who knows maybe!!! All a fan girl could do right is to dream and wait patiently... Ugh.
ReplyDeleteEveryone get ready for another season ending with the two of them not being together. WAKE UP PEOPLE
ReplyDeletego back to sleep. I'm bored of reading how you know everything that's going to happen without having actually seen the episode. You have no idea what Marlowe has planned for the season finale. Nathan and Stana were happy with it. Stop watching a show if it makes you so miserable.
DeleteI think you're mistaken.
DeleteAM has already said that he will not wait until the end of the series to put them together. He said that there is still a lot of story to be told once they get together. Check out the Paley Fest Panel!
DeleteI'm gonna check it out right now is it on youtube or what?
DeleteYa Abby it's on YouTube.:)
DeleteI don't know. I kind of want Castle to get hurt, or kidnapped or something during this episode. I don`t want him to die, no. He will have gotten hurt protecting Beckett (brownie points), and Beckett will be in shambles trying to get him back to her.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping that at the end of the episode Kate will say ``Hey Castle.`` ``Yeah Kate.`` ``I love you too.`` (Smiles)
I would also like to see some Alexis-Kate scenes.
Maybe?
When is the episode about finding Castle`s father gonna be? Is that in the new season? Or this season finale?
ReplyDeletePretty sure that will be next season. That would just be too much for one episode anyway.
DeleteI think this will be a reverse ending of season 4. Instead of Castle telling Kate he loves her after she gets shot, first Kate tells Castle she loves him, and right after, something happens to him.
ReplyDeleteSomething involving Kate and falling into bed... ;)
DeleteMy bday is May 6th. I probably won't even be able to focus!!!!!! Ugh I wish it was May!!!!!!!!!! It is going to be an amazing season finale. No doubt about it!!!!!! God I'm already getting palpitations!!!!
ReplyDeleteI know, my birthday is May 5th and I could care less about it cause I just want it to be May 7th and be me sitting in front of my tv having a heart attack!
DeleteI honestly think a castle will get hurt but not the one we think will.
ReplyDeleteTHat would be cool!!
Deletelike " My family has been through alot, like murder, heart break..." and thans maybe the prcinctt blows up. and the last lines is "and even bombs" and than the principal whispers into her ear tell ing her that he got a call about the explosion at the 12th... and DUN DUN DUN!
DeleteOr she something like my family has been through a lot.
DeleteI've got a couple little insights...
ReplyDeleteI haven't been a huge fan of this arc, mainly because I think it's stupid to make it seem like Kate, a highly-skilled detective, couldn't put two and two together about confessing her secret in 47 Seconds & Castle's behavior, but I'm putting up with it because I think the finale is going to be amazing.
I saw on another message board that when someone asked a source at TVLine about the finale, they said something about how it's gonna be so good that there won't be any doubts about a season 5. I can't wait!!!
I'm also predicting that we'll see Kate's sniper at the very end of 'Undead Again' as a mini-cliffhanger leading us into the finale. There's just so much that's supposed to happen in the finale I'm not sure how they're going to fit it all in!
DeleteI hope Gates gets hurt, idk why, i just think shes the wall between CASKETT
Deletewhat if the season finale ends up with castle getting shot and beckett holding him and saying i love you just when castle's lights out? then season 5 starts out with castle in the hospital, recovering. then telling beckett he needs time. castle goes quiet for several months until beckett finds him in a crime scene where she was assigned to. castle in the wrong place at the wrong time. he's set free from the box then beckett asks him about the shooting. but, castle doesn't remember anything from the shooting. or does he? now that would be a cool storyline.
ReplyDeletei want this to happen just for the sake of it.
...oh my, lol. that would be horrific.
Deletethats basically putting season 3 and 4 cliffhangers and premieres together. They would do a repeat. they've already done this it just be with castle shot, becketts declare of love, not sure if he remembers, time and space between them, and castle at a crime scene with a gun looking like his a murderer. yea, they've done this and it be dumb if they did it again. lol
DeleteNot gonna happen. Marlowe has already said that they're going to do a different kind of finale that we haven't seen this show do before. That's a direct copy of the Season 3 finale.
DeleteLet's think back to the Season 4 finale.
ReplyDeleteKate, once again, becomes obsessed, maybe Evelyn can give her the hint she needs to find the killer.
Alexis gives Beckett an inspirational talk about how thats never stopped her before and something like, my dad went into a building burning to save you, and if you love him, youd do the same for him.
cont...
DeleteSo the two brave the flames and find their way to the 12th, where they find everyone somehow safe (I would hope), and Beckett finds Castle, who tells her that the bomber is still in the building, and Beckett goes off in search of him as Alexis helps everyone back to safety, including Castle, who is too hurt to help Beckett.
Scene ends with the two of them holding hands.
"BAM, SAID THE LADY!!"
What do you guys think?
I applaud anyone willing to read all that! ^^
Deletesry its so long, had to get it all out.
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But it said that they fight on top of her building so idk but i still LOVE IT
DeleteI love that ending, idk if it will all go down like that but i can picture kate saying i love u finally responding to ricks i love you and then rick with a smile saying always! Ughh i would die
Delete"she uses something funny and witty".....she shows him her boobs like Royce taught her
DeleteI dont know what will happen with Becketts shooting and Mothers murder will play out but i have a slight idea that the victim will be killed the same way becketts mother was so it will lead into that but for CASKETT, i think that Castle will tell Beckett about his secret after she finds out how tthe victim was killed and she gets a little mad but then remembers her secret and rushes to him,to say she sorry and as she does it will be like a pause and then i think they would hug but then when they are about to let go they kiss and have a heart to heart after word... and we will just hope for the best
ReplyDeleteQuestion. During `Rise` or one of the other cases regarding Kate`s shooting and everything else, didn`t they have a picture of Castle saying something about if they want to get to Beckett, first they need to get him out of the way? Or is that just my imagination?
ReplyDeleteDo you mean the picture of Castle that Mr.
DeleteI think Roy Montgomery intentionally placed a photo of Rick in that package he sent to Mr Smith.
DeleteOh. I think I like the bad-guys-trying-to-get-Castle-out-of-the-way theory better. More suspense.
DeleteGates (in Rise) said something about it being a cold day in hell before she'd let a cop investigate her own shooting. Her precinct is no place for vendettas, right? So, maybe once this case leads back to Beckett's shooter, she gets kicked off the case. She could go after him on her own (reconsidering her future with the force?).
ReplyDeleteAlso, maybe the sniper gets shot and ends up in a hospital bed (in a coma or not)...
ReplyDeleteTo Elena, in an above post with ur theory of the finale u said that u heard there was a scene shot with Beckett and the sniper on her rooftop... WHAT WHAT WHAT where did u hear that?? :D i was meant to stay spoiler free but i accidentally read it ;)
ReplyDelete-Carina
No offense or anything, but if I really wanted to stay spoiler free, I would be staying away from these spoiler sites. I know it's hard.. I can't do it myself. Just some advice though..
DeleteHow do you expect to remain spoiler free on a spoiler website? I gave up on being spoiler free a long time ago. It's too hard.
Deleteok sorry i worded that wrong...sneak peek free because i already knew/know too much for it to be spoiler free :) i just dont want to see any actual footage thats all
DeleteI read Elena’s Post at (Apr 22, 2012 09:56 AM) and it seems quite nice, that said I wouldn’t be a fan if I didn’t share my theories. Regardless of how ridiculous some of them might be.
ReplyDeleteKate will get a clue about the sniper and dives down the rabbit hole again.
DeleteI have to ask why you think that solving the JB case makes Kate any less of a cop.
DeleteAnon@11:28 PM
DeleteI never said she’d be less of a cop.
Hope that answers your question,
Hi, Anon 11:28 here.
DeleteI do think that the JB case will be solved during season 5.
DeleteShe was Stanford pre-law and had aspirations to the Supreme Court; she was driven long before her mother's murder.
ReplyDeleteWould you like another session miss? asks the technican at Rekal, Incorporated
Huh?
DeleteI think it's a reference to the 1990 movie "Totall Recall" or the short story that inspired it.
DeleteIn the story there is a company called "Rekal". People go there and pay to get memories implanted into their brains in order to experience exciting things in a simulation-like environment.
I really really do not want to think anything right now. All I want to do is WAIT. Wait for "Always" coz I really trust Creators than me and my wild thoughts on Caskett. LOL.
ReplyDeleteWow, over 100 comments on 2 sentences. I love this fandom!
ReplyDeleteI just want to see Undead Again so I can see the promo for Always!
ReplyDeleteAnyone have any spoilers for undead again? I havent heard anything.
ReplyDelete"Always" needs to be a 2 hour episode. 1 hour just wont do...
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree.
DeleteOne hour doesn't seem like enough time to:
-re-open Cpt. Montgomery's case & chat with his wife
-resolve all of the Castle-Beckett secrets & emotional fallout
-fight & maybe take down the sniper
-take the Caskett relationship to the next level
-have Alexis graduate & Castle wrestle with empty-nest syndrome
-deal with an explosion & resulting giant fire
-feel threatened by the tough, military guest star
-give Ryan, Espo, Lanie, Gates, Martha, and even Jim Beckett a little bit of screen time between all the Caskett emotional drama
-throw in a shocking cliffhanger at the end!
So, somehow they will fit all or most of that stuff into "Always"...lol. I'm not sure how they will do it but I am really looking forward to the outcome :).
Well I guess it'll have to do. I can imagine the summary on the TV programme:
DeleteAn explosion & resulting giant fire makes them re-open Cpt.
All in 60 min. Not happening. There better be no commercials.
DeleteLOL 8:22, I can see it, I can see it!
DeleteHa ha ha. 114 comments for less that two lines. that has to mean something. ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is kind of random but:
ReplyDeleteanyone think Martha might fall sick/get put in the hospital?
Always."
Deletethe sniper and the military guy are the same person, also he's supposed to be back for the season 5 premiere
ReplyDeletecommon...it's Monday and still no promos... at least some info regarding the next episode(visual aid)...
ReplyDeleteExactly it is Monday.
DeletePromo will come after the episode aired ^^
Just a little longer and we can see it :)

Random crazy theory?
ReplyDelete'Trapper John' from cops and robbers survived. He's the guy who shot Beckett. His returning to New York for the Job? One of those random Castle verse coincidences.
Random crazy theory indeed.
DeleteI don't think this season will have Castle saying "I love you" again..
ReplyDeleteNeloanjelo.
Castle's motivation behind keeping Kate safe/his secret is his love for her; how is he supposed to 'spill the beans' without restating his love? I mean, the answer to the "why" is "because I love you".
DeleteOkay, call me crazy, but I have a theory that's been bouncing around in my head for the past couple of weeks. I feel a bit like a detective myself, the way I've been gathering evidence to support my theory, so ... here goes.
ReplyDelete- First, Stana and Nathan have both said that Caskett fans will be really happy by the end of the season.
- Also, Tamala Jones says that at the end of the finale, we'll be really happy, then BAM, cliffhanger - "did that really just happen??"
- Jon Huertas said what happens with Castle and Beckett will surprise fans more than they have ever been.
Then, after they got rescued, Rick's remark, "If I ever have to be HITCHED to anyone again, it would be you."
In the Till Death Do Us Part episode, Kate asked Rick, "If we were getting married, would you want to know about all the guys that I've slept with?" The fact that she would even say such a thing and that he didn't even flinch at her saying "if we were getting married" tells me their relationship has come a long way. (while a few notes of "Here Comes the Bride plays)
- Lastly, today when the still photos from the finale came out, there's a pic of Rick and Kate, in a church, with a priest.
...guess my post is too long, so I'll have to continue it below...
DeleteJM
And I know I said it before, but I still can't wait to see Rick's face when Kate finally does tell him she loves him. I think at this point, he's going to be so surprised, that the look that's going to cross his face is going to be priceless!!
