  4. I have the feeling that this season would be a lot more palpable for Caskett fans if it was on DVD because waiting every week is killing we the fans.

I'm not fond of waiting until the finale for movement but i guess that's what we are getting. I'm still going to watch but that season finale had better be the greatest episode ever, that's all I'm saying.

    1. Yea if the season finale was a waste of time, I am not watching this show anymore. They always say it's gonna be good, but it ends up not interesting at all. I mean the whole reason this show is going is BECAUSE of Caskett.

    2. Ummm, so the season 3 finale wasn't interesting? What show are you watching?

  6. NPYD? Castle, wrong acronym but apparently Google only gives me NYPD results so I guess it's fine.
I'm a grown man who uses the Word awesome all the time so there's no shame in it.

Although I miss Chuck, it's nice to see Adam Baldwin on TV.

    1. Yeah, well spotted!

    2. Hey when she says "oh no" and "what if I waited to long" they sort of sound like those were two different sentences or comments put together. What if her therapist asks when Castle started acting weird and she goes through it in her head...coming out of the interrogation, coffee on desk, rick gone, the case, what she said in interrogation....ring any bells? So maybe when she says "oh no" she figured it out why he's different. instead of that little scene in the promo.

    3. Interesting theory, I like it!

      Delete
    4. I like that theory, but the writers aren't going to make the story like that...it's their thing not to make it that way.

    5. I'm so sorry to view Adam Baldwin in a episode wich castle and beckett are not together... Firefly forever!!!!!

      Delete
    6. Actually I'm kinda agreeing with the 3rd comment. The way she said it was "oh no" In a sort of high pitched whereas "what if I waited too long" seems like it was before she says oh no.

  9. Ryan says "I feel like hes cheating on us." Seriously same shit different ep. Not impressed how they put all this relationshipt stuff in the last few ep. but vertually nothing since Rise. This is not enjoyable to watch. I dont like how the characters are heading down this path to now where. It is having a bad effect on fans . Im a shipper or was. Now i dont care. This is my favorite show but it has lost so much of what i enjoyed in this show. This last ep was just wrong!! we all dispise castle now and arent invested in the relationship anymore. So y watch??? So sad how the creators have wreaked this show in one season. Im so upset with how the show has played out.

    1. 'We all despise Castle now'?? Where do you get this 'We' from? Speak for yourself and don't act like you're some kind of spokesman, because you aren't.

    2. You have to learn, as a fan, stuff isn't going to go YOUR way every single season/episode. And I don't know what you mean by 'having a bad effect on fans' because Castle's ratings have been pretty good thus far. You can't go around generalizing the entire fandom. Not all of us, me included, agree with you. Character development is going slow, yes, but you can't just shove these two in a relationship and say 'BOOM! you are together now.' Shit needs to happen that makes it real. Shoving these two characters together at this stage would be wrong, and they would be invested for the wrong reasons, since they both have secrets to discuss with each other. It is about trust, you see. If you want to stop watching, it is whatever, but if you are not interested or invested in how this turns out, fine. But, I, for one, will be there till the end. Because it is a great show and I can see tons of material for AM to work with. I just can't understand the restlessness. Relax, man. Enjoy the road while there is still road to travel on, yes?

    2. Scottish? Sorry to disappoint you, but neither the actor nor the character are scottish. Brett Tucker is actually Australian (some hottie he is) and his accent was heavy on the irish side. But honestly, with his looks, I don't care much for his accent anyways...

  13. AM said he was going to tear them apart, before getting them together. I really think that by the finale everything will be fixed.
I still feel like the storyline is real enough {though not sure many men would wait around as long as Rick has}, but I do really believe that this is what mis-communication can do to people....

All in all- annoying episode, but still a stepping stone in their story. I was actually glad to see Beckett so obviously jealous, now she's the one with feelings- and Castle is the one without {or ACTING like he's without}....
Its her ballgame, she needs to make a move!

  18. Does she really say "what if I waited too long"? It sounds weird. And I think that "oh no" is probably not related to that. Hopefully she'l put 2 and 2 together, she's a cop for crying out loud!

  19. Did y'all notice that at 0:19-0:20ish that for what ever reason that short scene showing beckett and castle turning around, that that is not from this new upcoming episode? Meaning that looks like the museum from episode "eye of the beholder". its even in the promo of "eye of the beholder" too (0:06). My only question is, why?

    2. Yeah, I noticed it as well. But I have no idea why they used a clip from another episode; they don't usually do that..

      Delete
    3. I noticed that too. I think it's probably because there isn't a decent shot of them together in Headhunters, so they had to grab a scene from Eye of the Beholder. Or maybe every scene they are in together, they're angry or something.

Anon 12:13, actually they did use clips from Knockout in the promo for 47 Seconds. I think it was just to refresh the shooting in the minds of fans who aren't as crazed as those in this site, but still.

      Delete
    4. The scenes from Knockout were actually in 47 seconds at the point where Kate was talking about being shot.
My theory is that one or maybe both of them start flashing back on things that have happened to them this season. Maybe Castle gets hurt and starts to remember why he loved Beckett so much in the first place.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder, right? :)

    5. Exactly what I was thinking, all of it! Kudos, 09:02.

  20. Good, I'm probably the only one that thinks Castle being with a different team is a good thing.
Maybe it'll make him realise how awesome he actually has it working with Beckett and the boys.

  21. I knew the Limey would be stepping stone in AM's path, and was pretty much affirmed in my cranky-boots approach to tonight's ep.

    Meh.

But this, this ep here, is one I've been looking forward to since it was announced Baldwin would be guesting.

Even if this weren't taking place in the middle of Caskett uber-dramz, I'd be looking forward to this. Too much fun.

I think it's great Castle's pairing up with other departments. Especially after the comment in the Limey of how Gates doesn't hate everyone, just Castle.

Mebbe he'll earn some respect, but no doubt there will also be some sort of come-uppance, and I'm guessing personal injuries play a part in having a whopping combo of wounded heart, wounded pride, and well, being generally wounded via rearrangement of parts of his face.

I'm liking the indication that the Caskett issues are actually impacting not just Beckett but also Ryan and Espo. Ryan's comment at least kinda gives the impression that the boys have come to regard him as part of their team, even if Gates hates him and Beckett can't be arsed to decide whether or not, after four years, she's decided he's proven himself worthy of taking a chance on.

I wasn't looking forward to the Limey. I am looking forward to this one. Possibly more than the finale even. At least this will have moments of fun (before Castle's world comes crashing down yet again).

It would be nice if, along this emotionally manipulative ride we're all on, there were a few unexpected twists and turns along the way. Not to mention fun. And thus I maintain my hopes for Zombies and teh Firefly reuniuon, while throwing my hands up in exasperation at Caskett in general, 12.567589 be damned.

At least the train is moving again.

,stop torturing me.I have been such a good soldier watching every ep at least 3 times but no more...nah who am I kidding.I will be glued to my TV in two weeks in spite of my self loathing. This ep was a bitter pill to swallow

  23. After tonight I kind of just want to see castle get shot in the face. And really he is making himself look like a fool he doesn't need Kate not telling him she remembered to be one.

    ReplyDelete
  24. You're not the only one to think that. Yes he's gonna have fun at first with this new team, and be fascinated by Slaughter, but he will realize that he's never going to find that connection he has with Beckett with anyone else.
He's acting all happy but you can tell by his look at the end of the promo that he really is miserable… Plus he's gonna realize that Beckett is miserable too without him and that she cares for him more than usual, that she's really trying to show him how much he's important to her.
A few seasons back, she would have just ignored him and let him do whatever he wanted, but now, she is really concerned, she wants to understand, she wants to talk and fix things… That is a small and shy move, but she's trying. And i'm sure that this will not be unnoticed.
Even more when he's gonna get hurt and see the pain in beckett's eyes (i hope)
Castle will realize that he cannot stay mad at her. Maybe he had it all wrong. He's keeping a secret too… out of love.
His secret is yet to burst and it's gonna be painfull too. But i trust AM and even more Stana (Queen of Shippers) that all this is leading to something really good and beautiful.
Let come the headhunters and zombies… i'll "Always" believe

ps. As for Colin Hunt, i volunteer to take care of him, for the good of the Caskett relashionship, of course…

Soho I agree, though personally I'm on 'mum's' side. However much Castle gets roughed up, I'm going to enjoy watching it happen after the way he was in this weeks ep.
All the people dropping out are giving up WAY too early. And by Always they're going to regret it.

  26. I'm mostly posting my thoughts on The Limey, as it's not working on the other thread, and it seemed like some could use a boost...
I loved this episode; it had that blend of comedy and drama that makes this show so enjoyable, despite still dealing with the angst. Last week's was sad and depressing all around, appropriately so; this week's had tons of fun moments, which was nice considering the painful arch it's furthering. Castle's plan to get fingerprints the hard way was hysterical, esp. with Espo deciding between hobo/flower guy. The Lanie scenes rocked, all of them, but especially the morgue scene seemed a message (to all of us) to not rush judgement here but hit Castle with the truth and then see how he behaves/give him a chance to explain/apologize/etc. (Obviously some advice Castle could use, as well). The dancing scenes were fun... anyone notice how careful Beckett was to maintain appropriate space between Hunt and herself (fresh off of admitting her love for Castle and dealing with some minor flirting... cute), yet she didn't care at all how close she got to Nigel. And I was so thinking his fingerprints would be all over that cigarette case but did not see that lift coming, which reminded me of Poof, You're Dead (love!). Team building theory, esp. Castle hitting the high notes on the discrepancies in the case felt like good times again, which helped balance the dense moment(s) of sharing confidential stuff with an outsider. (At least we know he was talking about work on his 'date'... The Third Man, anyone?) Speaking of, it seemed like maybe Castle appreciated that Beckett was jealous of his lunch date, but then freaked again after he couldn't help drooling over her in that dress so called up the convenient new gal for a bit of distraction, just conversational-take-your-mind-off-feeling-anything-thinking-too-much distraction, like how I imagine Kate's drink with Hunt will go. Small talk. Eh. (Yeah, I was kind of hoping she would call Lanie, too). The only thing I really didn't like was Castle's jab at the end about being 'fun and uncomplicated'... it seemed like too much of a slam against some things Beckett has no control over... at the very least an apologetic or oops-I-maybe-went-too-far-there look from him would've softened the blow (like after he overanalyzed her in the pilot). But, yeah, overall, I loved it and am enjoying the ride (much more since I'm assured a happy ending).
I expected Beckett would try to talk to Castle and fail at this point in the 'storm'. In Headhunters, I'm expecting Castle to come to the realization that secrets are dangerous...

    3. No problem- and I enjoyed your take on this episode. It was the blend of comedy and drama that made me fall in love with Castle in the first place! This storm is going to get worse before it blows over, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts because we don't have much left this season. I don't want to waste my time complaining when we've only got 3 episodes left until the summer hiatus. :(

      Delete
    4. You're not alone. I loved it too! Maybe also because I'm not worried about them not being together as long as them being not together is interesting, too (and we all know it'll happen eventually).

I also thought the writing in this one was particularly fantastic. I'm not sure why people are blasting the "writers" or saying season 4 writing isn't as good. Even if you don't like the storyline, for a show in this "category" the writing is great (the "category" being popular crime drama with episode-long cases).

  27. you know marlowe said castles secret will come out before the finale but i just feel like he could be decieving us . I mean look what happened with becketts secret ..yeah castle knows but there has been no conversation about it. And now in marlowes latest interview he said that castle will still be upset and not saying anything for a couple of episodes still..well heres a clue for ya there are only a few episodes left ! I understood waitng until the back end of the season to have the secrets come out because that was the theme of the season but its getting to be quite ridiculous now. I used to try to defend marlowe and say that his answers were just vague or sly to get us to watch but im starting to think that hes just plain out decieving us.

  30. For those who think finale will fix everything.. it wont...it end as you might expect(beckett in castle's arms)... but next season they will still not be couple...I haven't watched for a while now.. but I have been here few times watched your reactions after episodes... it is been frustrating for a few...most hope things will turn around before finale.. As I have not watched most of this season... I can see a pattern emerging from previous seasons.. season 1 castle likes beckett, opens mothers case...boom they split... season 2 beckett realizes she likes castle.. boom he is back with his ex wife... season 3 castle admits his feelings for beckett... beckett pretends she has amnesia... and now season 4...finale will be beckett is in a bad place... castle comforts her and maybe they hook up.. fans will be delighted and look forward to next season... season 5..in season premiere they will manage to put it aside..next 20 episodes they will solving crime together(maybe either castle or beckett will display signs he/she is hopelessly in love with the other)..and then one will decide to step up and reveal his/her feelings to other... something happens and the season 5 ends on a cliffhanger... so fans can't wait for season 6 premiere. wow...I feel exhausted..and you too will..I dont know how seasons castle will be around for... but in my opinion season 3 will be the best.. Any body has different theories please share.

He's getting there, as if you didn't see something like this coming!
Don't get me wrong I'm frustrated as well, all I wanted to do today after I finished watching just before my lecture started was to SCREAM. He's become exactly what Beckett first thought he was all along. AND SHE'S no better calling the English dude either! I just want to slap them both.

As for that other show, HH's decisions screwed them, I felt cheated so I stopped watching. Bones strung their fans along for 6 seasons... SIX!
We're in season 4 and TPTB are already hinting at a happy relationship.
My advice stick to it hold tight and there should be some movement in this one and then monumental leaps for the last two.

  32. I'm posting here for Limey because that thread keep hanging, probably too many posts already...administrators, maybe you can start another Limey discussion post.

Anyway, castle just pissed me off the whole episode. He acts like he is some great gods gift with no mistakes. Sorry totally hated him and am not
    Poking forward to next week.

What I really hated about this episode, is that the writers successfully ruined castle for me. To a point where I feel he really doesn't love Beckett nor does he deserve her. She made a mistake and she is trying to make amends, but he is just cruel. And I know he ain't having an affair, but still he is sleeping with that blonde all the while hurting Beckett. He hasn't changed, he is still the cheap guy we met in 2009. Not impressed, not happy. And just hurt that Marlowe made me despise my favorite show.i know it's stupid to walk away at this point, but thes no point in watching a show where I hate the lead. No Matt what castle does now, I will always see him as what he was today, just mean, I never thought castle could become that guy, but boy did he. If caskett get together, it will just seem fake to me, because he obviously doesn't
I've her if he can so easily go sleeping around with that blonde. His conscious isn't screaming how wrong it is, therefore he must not love her. Because of he did, he wouldn't be able to do it and not feel guilty. But he seems very happy. And he just wants fun now, so I'm just done with this show. In 42 minutes, Marlowe managed to get me to hate castle.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. In his mind he's not hurting Beckett, and I'm aware it sounds stupid to some people that he has no idea she loves him, but he really doesn't! Therefore, as far as he's concerned, he is not hurting Beckett by acting the way he is.

      Delete
    2. Castle's on the rebound, that's all it is. He'll snap out of it soon. And there is no proof that he's sleeping with the blonde bimbo so I think you're just being delusional.

  33. 47 seconds was interesting, some move,ent...but Limey was downright annoying and rodiculous. Castle was just being a complete and total ass. I couldn't stand watching him. Just seeing his face makes me sick now. And next weeks looks no better. This is what I waited for for the season ending. Really??? Bloody waste of time. I'm done. I've been patient long enough, but I refuse to be Marlowe's little guinea pig. I can't be bothered with caskett anymore, I don't think they even
Iove each other. Marlowe ruined his own love story.

    2. If I acted with my partner at home anything like Kate does with Rick I would be out on by backside and my boyfriend would have helped me pack my bags. Because for starters I wouldn't be sleeping with him, showing him any real affection and not speaking him to either that much!

I can take some suspension of disbelief because they are TV characters but I have to base my enjoyment of a show like this on some level of reality and this couple passed that point about a season ago.

      Delete
    3. I totally agree with you and I was just kidding.

Nothing is real in this show; neither the situations, neither this immature, unbelievable and childish relationship between the two characters......But I like it because it's fiction!

  36. Wow, there is a lot of Castle hate out there! You may kill me because I am from the UK and haven't actually seen The Limey yet, but I am expecting Castle to behave like a complete ass, and not just because I am spoiling myself with all your comments. He is hurt and is trying to convince himself that he can just flick that switch and work alongside Beckett as in the good old days. However, he is being far too vindictive and hurtful for someone who no longer cares. I have seen a few posts saying that Castle's behaviour is out of character. But have we actually ever seen him really hurt before? I can't remember such an episode, and if he was hurt, he had Beckett there for support. Perhaps this really is how Castle behaves when he's lost it.
I'm not going to enjoy Kate being hurt by Castle's words and actions, I'm not going to enjoy Castle lying to himself, but it's all part of the road to the finale. Now if the finale doesn't live up to expectations, then I'll be severely disappointed. Until then, I'm going to go along with the ride.

  37. @Anon 02:25 Exactly...!

people are throwing tantrums left right and center and just go on and on about how the ship and the show is ruined. I believe it's not and as someone above said, most of you will probably regret jumping ship by the end of the season.

A great love story has TONS of angst and the man being completely immature before it ends up well. And in real life men don't brood and break glasses when they're heartbroken. They are jackasses and go around saying they don't care. (And before someone comments I *am* old enough to know that this isn't what teenage boys do but also men in their 30s and 40s - belive you me).

The course of true love never did run smooth - Shakespeare.

I'll keep watching the show no matter what and really am frustrated over the wait for the next epi. :D

    1. What we have here is a situation where the minority are screaming the loudest. It is something that happens all the time in many different things that are in the media or every day life. I wouldn't be too worried about the temper tantrums being flung about. These people tend to be ones who expect nothing bad to happen between Castle and Beckett and the moment the two characters hit a rocky patch all hell breaks loose. You could say that some of them are people who care very deeply about these two characters and it hurts them to see the characters hurting, but it seems that most of them are like six year-olds in a supermarket throwing a wobbly because their parents won't let them put a chocolate bar in the trolley!

I have a feeling by the end of the season those who have been endlessly complaining that Season 4 has been rubbish and that there has been an apparent lack of movement between Castle and Beckett (really, what show are you lot watching?), will be singing the praises of the creators!

      Delete
    2. Let's just hope it's just the minority, because the amount of negative comments in here is a bit dissapointing. Why would we want the show to be all about fluff? It would get really old, really fast.

Amen to what you said about the progress between Castle and Beckett. How can people have missed how far the two have come along? Truly as you said let's hope by the time the season finale rolls out, they'll be singing a different tune, because right now some of them seem to be campaigning for cancellation (?!).

      Delete
    3. I loved the episode, and I was one of those that used to complain about nothing happening. But honestly, didn't we want some movement? Some progress? I don't see why people are so pissed off now. We were warned it was going to be a rocky path, but at least we're walking somewhere!

  38. I was cringing all the way through this episode! AM seriously needs to sort this out, it's taken too many episodes so far and no-one should be wasting Caskett screen time! As fans we will simply have to wait it out and see what happens over the next few episodes and then (crossing fingers) all the writers will come through for us! they always have haven't they?

  39. Limey was horrible. That's all I can say. I'm not interested in watching these two hate each other and flaunt others in front of each other till the very end. So yes AM is not giving us anything, by the looks of his stupid interview. It will be a mess right till the last 2 minutes, and they hug, maybe kiss, and then some dumb cliffhanger, bam all over. Honestly this is ridiculous. I don't want to see the last few episodes of my favorite show feeling sick and disgusted with them. And AM just confirmed that that's exactly how it will go from his interview. Nothing till the very end. I'm done,Ive had enough.

  40. As I'm on holidays, I've seen the episodes this morning. The first time I see it before Tuesday afternoon.
God, it was really painful to see them hurt like that. He's hurt and reacts forcing a moving-on act, she's hurt too thinking that maybe it's too late now for her to come clean. They ships in the night.
the worst of all, we'll have to wait for 2 weeks to know what happens next (does something happen between Castle and the flight attendant? And between Kate and the Brit she was going for a drink with?).
This is so going down that the finale is surely going to be a bomb. Think that roller coasters need to go really low to gather momentum in order to reach really high. That the image I've got in mind.
Does it make sense for those here who seem to be impatient and lose faith in a happy ending.

  41. The Limey was indeed awful and we have Marlowe to thank for ruining the characters I used to love so greatly. Thank you.

Rick is now acting out trying to pretend to be a cop and get himself into danger and he's separated from Kate and dating bimbos - not a smart move.

Kate is still uttering dumb lines like "what if I waited too long..." What was the point of your conversations with Lanie in The Limey then Kate? If you don't know the answers to these questions by now? Have you selective amnesia?

You know I think it's safe to say you waited to long because you know he's kind of working with someone else and dating other women!

And she calls herself a top rate detective but she can't detect anything right now that is right in front of her nose about Rick.

Who is to blame for emotionally constipated Kate and idiotic Castle? Yes I'm looking at you Mr Marlowe.

If I had known what butchery you were going to do to these two characters I would have stopped watching ages ago.

We have still not got them talking about their secrets, and it doesn't look like they ever will have a decent heart to heart conversation it will all be crammed into a 45 minute mess of a finale.

That's not good writing from my point of view, they've had all season to pace this show out as it deserves and what do I get the depressing mess that is 47 seconds and the Limey.

I've gone from willing these two to get together to wishing for their own mental well being they stayed far apart from each other.

A very sad and very frustrated Castle fan and not frustrated in a good way Marlowe - you keep telling us that fans want to be frustrated - no they don't not like this!

Only good thing in that promo - Adam Baldwin's line to Nathan - literally awesome.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Wow...I'm wishing for your mental well being. Step back and take a deep breathe. And FYI, Rick isn't a cop. Basically for 4 years he has been pretending to be a cop. Mind you, he is a great pretend cop but by profession he is a writer and not a cop. As for Kate she is a great detective but when it comes to matters of the heart, she isn't very good at it. She is flawed and that is what makes her so good to watch. Even with all her problems one thing she is good at is her job.

As far as AM is concerned, don't you think he knew this was going to be the reaction to this episode. He knows what he is doing and for those that are patient there will be a pay off. Guaranteed.

My advice for now, step back and take a deep breathe. All will be okay.

      Delete
    2. I'm sorry but this is poorly paced and bad writing for me nothing more or less, which has turned Kate into someone with all the emotional perception of a block of wood. I realise many don't feel this way like you obviously which is fair enough. I just don't see any planning having gone into this, it feels as if Marlowe just throws whatever he feels like at the wall and hopes it sticks.

I just can't enjoy this kind of bad storytelling dressed up as brilliant entertainment by Marlowe for much longer I'm sorry to say.

He seems determined to destroy everything that was once great about Rick and Kate.

I shall keep watching until the bitter end because I've suffered through 20 episodes already so I might as well see the remaining three but I can't say I've got any faith Marlowe can clear the mess that's been made up.

For those that have always kept the faith well they have my admiration.

  44. Next week looks funny. NPYD! I think that Det. Slaughter is going to talk some sense into Castle. He told him, "Don't say awesome, you're a grown man." Well maybe he might also tell him something along the lines of, "Who's that girl? You like her? Well then, stop acting like a little boy, man up and tell her how you feel." This Castle thing can't last much longer because the story has to make way for his secret to come out and for Beckett's mom's case to work its way back in. There just isn't time for this immaturity much longer, SOMEONE or SOMETHING will snap him out of it.

But for me and loyal castle fans will watch to end and see how this plays out it may hurt at the moment but caskett will be better for it and come out stonger in the end if you saw the tweet that last tweet that andrew tweeted this applies to castle I am staying with it

"It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines, it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. Because they were holding on to something... There's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it's worth fighting for."
      Sam, Lord of the Rings

      And I"m adding this...

Beckett: "That's what the great love stories are about, right? Beating the odds?"
Castle: "I hope they make it"
      Beckett: "Me too"

I don't know why people are getting all worked up about this. The only thing I'm a bit sad about is that Castle's investigation of Kate's mother's death isn't really shown at all...

    1. Um and hasn't it crossed your mind what Castle is doing with Jacinda?? HaHa!

Look both of them are single and aren't a couple yet. In fact Castle doesn't think Beckett feels the same as he does and is trying to move on and Castle pretty much rejected Beckett with that "fun and uncomplicated" line....

Both of them are hurting and trying to drown out their hurt by moving on... it's not going to work, but in the meantime if they are having sex with other people it's not going to kill their story for me.

It's not uncommon that people turn to other people after a breakup and though Caskett weren't a couple, they clearly were acting like one in their holding pattern so in an essence they are going through a breakup and are trying to move on.

Looks like they are recalling something from the past in connection to the present episode. What is that something from The Eye of the Beholder that is relevant to The Headhunter? I am thinking the Beckett - Dr Burke session in the Eye of the Beholder. Likely something to do with that very important question Dr. Burke asked Beckett; what she's really scared of: that Castle won't wait for her or that he will. I am sure this question will be discussed again in the Headhunters

  56. For those of you wondering why Limey discussion are posted here, it's because the thread there is too long, hence making comments crash often.

Anyway, I just watched the limey, while the storyline wasn't too bad, it was a least favorite. My problem with this show is that Marlowe has got us so hooked on caskett, well simply because Nathan and Stana just have great chemistry, that it takes everything else away from me. I'm a shipper and I can't wait to see some progress, but whilst I'm hangin go to my seat hoping for something, I'm missing other aspects.

If you scroll through the Limey discussion, you will notice, all fans were talking about was the castle and beckett interaction or lack of, and truth be told I was too. But the nice things were the very important Beckett and Lanie chats, and how stunning Kate looked, and how amazing those dance scenes were with Brett tucker, and yes even my favorite Charles shaughnessy. But we are so caught up with and stressed out about castle and Beckett that it takes over everything else, and we are upset. And Marlowe takes the blame for this. I want to enjoy all aspects of the show, but this season I find myself seeking the caskett progression because their dragging gas become too frustrating. Marlowe doesn't realize that the dragging is the thing that's going to end up being the curse, not moonlighting.

Honestly I don't enjoy the show as much as did previously. I want caskett together, so I can enjoy their blossoming relationship and enjoy the banter again and enjoy the other characters. Right now I'm just annoyed. I won't lie, I watch mainly for caskett, but I do enjoy other aspects. So Marlowe needs to get this ship moving, as fans are going to tune out very soon if he doesn't.

Castles behavior was so weird, it was so not him. Even if he is mad, when Beckett ask to have a chat, the castle we know would not just brush her off and say no. Maybe she wanted to talk about a case, but he didn't even bother finding out. Marlowe takes it to the extreme, and it turns out looking forced and fake. It's like Marlowe just wants to drag this out, so next obstacle is for castle to just keep brushing Kate off to buy time till the next few eps. What's all this nonsense. I won't have an issue if it was realistic, but his behavior didn't fit the character. It was a cheap way to avoid the conversation between them to drag along further.

I'm disappointed, I love this show, but then again, how do you watch a show that's become so riculously silly. And I don't for a second buy into Marlowe's not believing in the moonliting curse. He talks the talk but does he walk the walk? No he doesn't. He is afraid of the curse, but wants to string his fans along, so he says that followed by cheers and happy fans around. But nothing to me indicates. Things will be better. Even if all cards are on the table, they will find some other obstacle. Think about it, all season have ended with them having obstacles, and justifies them not being together for another season. It's become too boring for me. Walking away now seems dumb I know, but I can't sit through this much drama anymore. And after castes behavior last night, maybe he doesn't deserve Kate after all.

    1. I get what you mean. I was dissapointed too. And knowing that the next 2 episodes are going tone the same just annoys me more. Marlowe said nothing happens till the finale, so this bad attitude castle has will go on for another 2 episodes. I've decided I will not watch it because it's too much to take. I want to enjoy the last few eps of the season, so I will take 4.18 and then jump to 4.23...no point in watching something where you know what's going to happen. And the Limey just proved how much I can't stand castle being this mean to Kate, and the next two he is going to be the same, so yeah I'm skipping till the finale. Even then im sure Marlowe will pull them apart. He isn't Marlowe of he doesn't. That's always some stupid dumb cliffhanger to him. He doesn't believe in keeping characters real and happy.

I agree, I don't believe his things will get better crap. Marlowe lives for angst and pain. And that's what he thinks a relationship is, so please don't think you guys are getting a good end. It's just a marketing gimmick to get viewers.

I have been a loyal fan from day one but after Limey, I am feeling complete disgust for castle and I don't even want him near Kate. She is so much better off with hunt or with josh. Now I feel bad for hating him. That was when I thought castle had changed and would be loyal to Kate, but now we know and Kate knows too that he isn't capable of that. Like she said to Lanie, it's who he is, constantly chasing bimbos.

Time to walk away, all these talk about being too close to goodness to walk away, please you guys are kidding yourselves. Marlowe is never giving you what you want.

  58. Oh please just cancel this show and bring us something good to replace it ABC. It's just pathetic at this point how the story is going. Castle reverting back to his old self, and just being so vindictive. I absolutely completely hate the guy now. How do I watch a show where I hate the main guy. Thanks for that Marlowe. Yeah I'm sooo calling for it be cancelled, so I can start enjoying some new show, hopefully with a smarter show runner and writer. All this drama and lies and secrets, wow does he think this is a soap opera.

I'm done with the show. It's just too painful to keep dragging this, and in my opinion, Marlowe is just paying with us. He has no intention of getting these two together. He said so at paley he will continue to drag it until he really can't. So yeah he is dragging it, and coming up with stupid ways to keep them apart. It's not realistic anymore.

I hate to state the obvious, but this site is actually a fan site, which means it's for fans of Castle. Not self-appointed critics who think they could write something better. If it's really not worth your time to watch, then why is it worth your time to complain about it?

Personally, I was laughing my face off over "NPYD" and I actually found the Hunt character in this week's episode refreshing and fun. Of course I ship Caskett, but that's not the only reason I watch Castle. The show has plenty of other attributes that make it an enjoyable hour of television. If you don't agree, fine. My enjoyment of the show is not dependent on yours. But seriously, the incessant negativity here is just ridiculous.

  61. Castle with a GUN is always a hot episode! But did not castle realize earlier this season in headcase I guess that he was just acting like a cop and he was not a real cop. I confused what they want us to remember about Richard Castle's character, sometimes he believes he is a cop and sometimes he does not. He is a confused soul who needs a direction in life. I hope he does not get himself that badly hurt, physically and mentally, otherwise how will we get another best seller from him?
Though I dont like him jumping on another man's feet to catch him, that is so not him, he is classy and he knows how to use and gun and in knockdown, he showed some awesome field skills so I think they should have shown him a able to handle himself pretty well in such situation. Atleast that would have increased his now decreasing hotness level because of his episode 19 and 20 moron and annoying character though wonderfully played buy Nathan Fillion. :)

Marlowe has us where he wants us. Thinking "Castle".
Granted the dance has been slow this season but he's given us entertainment with all the characters. Now the snails pace to the finishline focuses on the main arc: WTWT.
Castles view is "she never loved me as I loved her". Beckett's view is "what is happening to my world"? The twist is in the story telling that we have come to love.
