The film noir episode that Castle fans have been waiting for is finally here on February 6, and Wetpaint Entertainment has some exclusive details about “The Blue Butterfly.”
“I didn't think we'd get to this episode until the eighth season because it's such a departure from what normally happens in the show,” says Seamus Dever, who plays detective Kevin Ryan.
When Rick Castle discovers a journal of a private investigator back in the '40s, which is connected to the murder that the team is trying to solve in present time, we get to see past events through his eyes.
“He imagines these flashbacks to 1947, and we're all dressed up in '40s costumes, in this beautiful Copacabana type club,” says Seamus.
“Tamala Jones gets to play a torch singer, and she's really singing in it. I get to play an Irish mobster, and Esposito plays a Cuban mobster. I got to do an Irish accent! So we get to play thugs. It's the opposite of our characters and it was kick ass fun!”
But it’s not just the visuals — and the kiss between Castle and Beckett’s alter egos — that’s worth tuning in for.

I really hope this episode is as good as these interviews portray them to be. The last they raved about was till death do us part, and that was a little bit of a disappointment...I'm just going to try and ignore these interviews and not have expectations. That way if the episode doesn't deliver, it will be fine. I'm more ingested in the two parter. There needs to be some movement with castle and Beckett, it's stagnant now, dull to watch them. And the noir episode isn't going to do anything for them, the kiss everyone's talking about is fake so I don't call that movement.

I too think its a little stagnant now. And I realize I am not as excited about the show as I used to be...I'm getting tired of waiting for these two to figure things out. Hehe I guess I'm just not as patient as others. But I do hope the noir episode is good. Not many shows have done it well, many have done it but not well. The trailer looks exciting but we know not to take these trailers seriously. Last episodes hand holding is testament to that. The trailer was so intense and good and then suddenly, it's over with no effects. Although I haven't watched it yet, I'm pretty sure the kiss isn't going to be as good as the knockdown one, simply because that was real, even if it it was a ruse, it actually happened, and was brought up in the finale. This one will just be in castles head. Nothing to talk about, nothing to have any meaning to it.
DeleteI have to admit that after I watched "Till Death Do Us Part" I went back and watched "Knockout" and "Rise" again just to remind myself of exactly why I love this show. Don't get me wrong, I am still a diehard fan and I will watch Castle forevermore, but these interviews and spoilers hype the episodes too much so they can't possibly live up to our expectations.

ABC created a website and a fake program for a wedding that we didn't even see, nor has it been mentioned in an episode since! I mean, come on Ryan! Did you and Jenny spend too much on your wedding and not have enough $ leftover to go on a honeymoon??

DeleteWe get a kiss this season but it's fantasy! Really, this is becoming silly. Their secrets and holding back has honestly. In my opinion taken the fun out of the banter and eye sex they have. They have become too serious with each other. If they get together, then they can start flriting and playing and having fun with each other again.
ReplyDeleteThe writers and Nathan seem to think that the Chemistry and fun will be gone once they get together. Well we don't need them to get together for it to be gone, it already is. They are so concerned about how the other will react to even a touch, that they hold back so much. I want the banter and flirtiness and cute moments between them. I don't get why they can't have all that after getting together. Won't it be easier, as they will be able to play freely since they are together. I don't know, everything seems so careful between them now. Their dance is getting boring. I thought by now something would have happened between them, at least a talk about what they are. Let me guess, it will be the finale, like it's always been, and then three months of no contact and start the new season with apologies and grove ling...aren't we over that yet? I want to think that AM is more creative and go down that road again, but it's looking suspiciously like it might.

Anyway I sure hope it isn't the same, but the way things are moving yeah it just might. I'm a huge fan of the show but it it becoming boring, so I hope they pick up the pace soon.
DeleteAWM said in a recent interview that he wants to end the season differently than he's ended the last 3 seasons. He wants to do something that will take the audience by surprise. If you look at the last 3 seasons, something has forced Beckett and Castle to be apart from one another. Season 1: We were to understand that Beckett threw Castle off the team bc he was investigating her mom's case secretly. Season 2: Castle went off to the Hamptons with Gina for the summer. Season 3: Beckett's shooting...when S4 returned we found out they had been apart all summer bc she had cut ties w him for those 3 months.
DeleteAnyway, my point is that I don't think AWM is going to end the season with them going their separate ways yet again. A lot of people think Beckett will find out about Castle's secret and end their partnership/relationship thus driving them apart until the season premiere. That's pretty much the exact ending of Season 1, so I can't see AWM and his team going that route again.
I'm of the mind that, yes, Beckett will be PISSED beyond belief when she finds out Castle's been keeping her away from her mom's case while he investigates it behind her back. I think Seasons 1-3 Kate Beckett would have thrown him out on his ass without a second thought if this happened back then. However, this isn't S 1-3 Beckett we're dealing with anymore. She's committed herself to not letting her mom's case get in the way of her happiness (i.e. a relationship w Castle). So, I think after the initial anger and possibly kicking him out, she will remember what's important in life. Is it stewing in anger and her obsession over her mom's case that's important? No, it's her relationship w Castle that means everything to her now.
AWM has brought Kate so far this season. There's been a big change in her since Kill Shot. She seems lighter, smiles more, and openly looks at Castle w love in her eyes. Why take her down that road just to allow her to be swallowed by her mom's case yet again? I really don't see that happening this time around.
These secrets are definitely going to sting a bit when they are revealed. I think both Beckett and Castle will initially have a hard time understanding why the other would keep that secret all this time. However, I think they're both in a place where they know the other loves them and would do such a thing out of love and a desire to protect the other's heart/life. That awareness is going to be what drives each of them to move past the whole secret issue and consider what's truly important in life.
I'm hoping the end of this season sees them either together (maybe unlikely) or at least leave us hanging with them RIGHT THERE at the cusp. I think the next few episodes, particularly the two-parter, are going to yield significant movement in their relationship.

Agree, I'm all for watching other characters too, but I also agree with the fact that things are slow with our leads. They need to step up before it becomes stale. I will be disappointed if they wait for everything important to take place in the finale. I mean AM has a reputation of keeping these two apart for the summer. Don't want to see that again. I love finale cliffhangers, but that doesn't mean the cliffhanger should have our leads spend time apart.
Deleteomg i have a theory but i dont want to get mine or anyone else's hopes up... we all know how AM likes to surprise us and make us think one thing and then it turns out to be the complete opposite, well.... because everyone is saying that Castle and Beckett will kiss only through Castle's imagination as the spoiler said there would be a kiss, everyone just assumed it would be. What if the big cliff hanger is that they actually kiss in real life!!!!!!.. and then that could possibly lead to Becketts secret coming out in one of the double episodes which everyone has been hopeful about as well :)

Interesting theory, but I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen. As much as we may like to think AM is full of surprises, he isn't. In the last episode, we all knew that the hand holding won't lead to anything. And true enough it ended exactly the way was predicted. No surprise there. Same thing happened in till death do us part, we knew castle wouldn't ask Beckett to be his plus one, and he didn't. Yes they ended up being each others, but it was only because he didn't have choice and it was Beckett who suggested. So far the episodes have gone pretty much how fans have predicted with the exception of dial m for mayor. Did not see the Johanna Beckett case coming up there.
DeleteI wish that happened, but sorry don't think so. Actually AM is quite predictable. The kiss will be fantasy. And that's all, I don't think anything will happen. Maybe somehitng in the two parter, but even that is highly unlikely. The cliffhanger is probably some action packed thing. Maybe they almost drown which is what the wetsuits Nathan talked about is for. I was hoping the cliffhanger would be, Beckett saying she remembers, and then it ends. But I don't think so.
DeleteNah, I doubt that the kiss will be b/w the real Castle and Beckett. I mean, it's like when you're watching an episode of Castle and they're interviewing a person that all the evidence points to and they're the obvious killer. However, there are still 15 minutes left in the episode, so we know that they can't be the killer! It's the same with the kiss. We still have too many episodes to go before the finale for anything big to happen!

If it was a real kiss, I would be looking forward to it more than any other episode or show on tv. But it's a fake one which takes the fun away. At least the costumes will be nice.
ReplyDeleteafter 4 years nothing has happened between the two leads.marlowe keeps giving us a looka a touch. nothing realy happened and never will. they are worried that the fans will leave if they get togeather. well i think a lot of fans are going to leave cause nothing is hapening.i dont think the fans expect the leads to tear off there clothes and get at it. there should be a romance. like at first a dinner date,movie nite at castles. realy move ahead. hiding the fact that they are dating.there is so many ways to go with it..what i dont understand why marlowe isnt moving there relationship along.i guess what im trying to say is if marlowe dosnt do something soon he will start to see his fan base shrink.people are starting to feel cheated.
ReplyDeleteI am a HUGE Caskett 'shipper and am dying to see them get together, too. I know how frustrating it is to see them have a scene like they did in "An Embarrassment of Bitches" (ie the hand stroking scene) and have it go nowhere. (PS I really hated that the sneak peek showed the whole scene. It took away the element of surprise for me.) I agree that it's time some serious progress was made between Caskett.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I do think AWM is trying to build the relationship between them in such a way that when they do get together (because they def will) it'll be really special and so worth the wait. He has said so many times that he's really eager to get them together and explore all the stories that come with the couple territory. These are two really complicated characters who have been seriously burned in the past. They have a lot of crap to work out and he wants them to muddle through it and figure it out together. In addition, he is telling the story in a way that's true to these characters. Can you really see Kate Beckett saying, "What the hell? Let's just get this going already." That's not her, especially not when it comes to Castle. He's her partner, her best friend, her one and done. She is finally committed to getting her head straight so she is ready and as whole as she can be so that she can dive in with him confidently.
I really think things are about to start moving faster for them, you guys. It is definitely time. I like what Anon 6:48 said about them taking small steps into a romance: a date here, some hand holding, a stolen kiss or two, a tentative first night together. That sounds so sweet and I really think some version of that is coming soon.
I'm wondering if, after Beckett spills her secret in the two-parter, they do try the dating thing. Maybe things are going really well and picking up speed when out comes Castle's secret, threatening to blow everything to hell. AWM did say Castle's secret will come out at the most inconvenient time imaginable. What could be more inconvenient than Castle and Beckett about to say, "Yes, we are in a relationship," and Castle deciding to come clean so they can start off on the right foot w/out any secrets? I really don't think Beckett will go running for the hills when his secret comes out but it will throw things into an interesting tailspin by season's end.
I really hope no one abandons ship now! Things are just about to get really good. Hang in there, everyone!!!
Elena, I get what you're saying...but I don't know I'm not that convinced I guess that AM is going to move things along. I mean don't get me wrong, I love the show but this season has been the slowest for me. Someone mentioned above that they are too cautious and careful with they way they act, I agree, and it is really taking the fun out of their sexual chemistry. I think once they are openly aware of their feelings and decide to do something about it, they can get back to the sexy saucy banter which will take on a whole new meaning if they are dating, and that will be so fun to watch.
DeleteA lot of people seem to think becketts secret is coming it in the two parter. Was this mentioned somewhere? I doubt it's coming it then, I think becketts will surface in the 20th episode maybe and castles the finale. I definitely will hate, yes I mean really hate the writing and show if they go down the same road, and we see Kate and Rick fight and then separated for 3 months. Then I will most definitely be one of those fans who abandon ships. No doubt. And it will not be because Kate and Rick still aren't together, it will be because obviously this will show no creativiy on the show and no movement with the leads. And fans will feel cheated.
Addendum: I want to correct what I said about moments that seem to go nowhere. I think EVERY Caskett moment AWM & Co put into each episode IS going somewhere. Every look, every smile, every touch, every loaded comment..they are all bricks coming together as the foundation for a really strong and wonderful relationship that is being built between these two. So, yes, when they look at each other in that way or touch they way they did in "Bitches," only to look away or walk it off I want to SCREAM. However, after the crazy fog lifts, I remind myself that with every one of those looks, those sly smiles, those touches they are getting closer and closer to the pay-off...and so are we.

Things are about to get good? Really. I don't see it. Sorry just my opinion. I think the writer are going to drag this as long as they can and loose fans along the way. As much as the show is a procedural show, lots of fans tune in for the love story behind it which is castle and Beckett. And now that love story has truthfully become old and stale, and dead. I still watch the show, but I don't love the show anymore. Honestly i watch because there's nothing better on Monday nights...hehe. Not because I'm a loyal fan. I'm hoping another show like it comes along and maybe does better storytelling. If other networks can come up with a good show at the same time, I know there are folks out there who will tune out of castle. That's sad to say because this was my favorite show, but somewhere along the way this season, it changed.

I loved the show, and last seasons finale was so promising, and then this season I am always wondering what the hell the writers are doing. The cases aren't that great, and the castle and Beckett relationship is just too slow. Yes I know there are those little hints here and there. But I think something needs to move them along very soon. I mean I know they are going at a slow pace but this is worse than a snails pace...a the rate of things they might end up together in 2020...which is a big maybe...I mean I enjoy storytelling, andi get what AM is trying to do, but it can't be slow and steady forever, it needs to have some up tempo now and again, to keep things spicy. We sawa a bit of the spiciness in cuffed, and after that nothing. Where's the heat?

DeleteMmmm, even though I agree with you guys to some extent, I kind of smell a bluff. Nobody watches a show because there's nothing else on Monday. Specially not those with a computer that could easily be used to watch something "better". And even less so, those who come into a Castle Spoilers Forum and comment on it.. You watch the show because you like it, and you still hope it lives up to your expectations, even if you're currently not happy with the way things are going, wich I understand.
Now, about those things, I really think we're just impatient after 3 seasons, specially when the last episodes on season 3 were so full of progress in the romance department. But this is the first part of the season, and it is always slower than the last one. Plus, as someone mentioned, so many breaks make it an even longer wait for development and it sort of diminishes more the already slow pace. However, we'll be getting more episodes in 3-4 months than we have in the last 8, so even though I'm not happy with some things (personally found the hand scene unnecessary given the outcome) I think the episodes have been quite funny and interesting so far, and I still have hope that we're going to enjoy the second half of the season a lot better.
As for the finale, I'm not so sure. I really hope they don't pull the "I'm so mad at you for hiding this" tale and have them go separate ways because it would just be waaaay too predictable.

@Anon 9:00 The reason many people (myself included) are speculating that Beckett's secret will come out during the two-parter is because the first of the 2 eps is called "Pandora." So, people have made the connection between keeping a secret locked away & then letting it out and the whole myth of Pandora's box. In addition, AWM said that Beckett's secret will come out considerably earlier than most people expect and definitely well before Castle's secret is out. If you look at the season's time frame, the two-parter will be episodes 15 and 16. There are 23 episodes this season. I think it makes sense for her secret to come out then because it gives her secret some time to be revealed, dealt with, and have things settle between them before Castle's secret is revealed. AWM said in a recent interview that Castle's secret will be revealed at the most inconvenient time imaginable.
DeleteConsidering all that, I think things will actually begin to heat up between them once Beckett admits she knows how he feels about her. I do think it's entirely possible for her to admit her feelings to him, too. If that does happen, it's feasible that they might take some steps down the dating road. Slowly, of course, so nobody (coughcouhhBeckettcoughcough) freaks out and runs away. Nothing can be easy, of course, so that's why I think the reveal of Castle's secret will come out just as they are about to really take it the next level...talk about an inconvenient time, right? I'm really excited to see exactly how these secrets will affect their relationship. AWM said they will have an effect but he has yet to even hint at whether the effect will be positive or negative. I'm hoping (and predicting) the secrets wind up bringing them closer together rather than predictably pushing them apart.
Remember that this is February sweeps period, everyone. This is when networks push for the most pivotal episodes to be aired that will really draw in viewers and boost ratings. So, yeah, I think it makes sense for Beckett's secret to be revealed during February sweeps and Castle's during May sweeps to bring the season to a close.
PS Networks also have a considerable amount of say when it comes to getting leads together. So, AWM has some rules to play by and has to be as creative as he can to keep things interesting until he gets to green light to get them together.
I am always excited for the next Castle episode! I love this show and will follow it until the very end, despite what happens along the way. I have complete faith im AM and the rest of the Castle team. They have given 3 great seasons and are continuing to give a great 4th one. obviously I want beckett and castle to get together....who doesnt? but I wasnt expercting it to happen in this episode, we all knew the kiss would be in the fantasy. But who cares? The episode will be great and it will just lead up to the episodes to come. I am a die-hard castle fan and all I have to say is....is it monday yet?

Some moments it feels like they are moving backwards. This season more than any other, I have found myself criticizing more than appreciating. I think I'm just losing patience.

ReplyDeleteLet's hope this episod is a good one. It's been a topic of discussion and spoilers for so long. I hope it's worth it. I'm still happy they kiss, but I'm peeved that's it's fake. I will be ok if they still kiss for real by season end. If this is the only kiss this season, that will be really annoying and pathetic. It will definitely be a step back. So far this season has been ok, but I'm hoping the next half is better. The first half was very average, except for rise, cops and robbers, killshot, and cuffed. They hyped up till death do us part tremendously and it tremendously disappointed. Their secrets need to start surfacing soon, or it's going to get draggy and that's not going to peek fans interest.
ReplyDeletePersonally I want to see more movement, significant movement. At the very least, they should be aware of each others feelings. There aren't many episodes left, so I don't know how it's all going to play out. Some fans seems very confident that Andrew Marlowe isn't going to disappoint. I am unsure about it. My hope is that they don't rush the whole secrets coming out and cramp it into the last two episodes, and then they fight nd go separate ways. Where have we seen that? Oh right, here, 3 times...those secrets need to surface sooner rather than later, and they need to deal with the consequences. I don't want to not see them dealing like during the summer break. I want to see them dealing with their issues so it should happen before the finale.

ReplyDeleteActually Castle and Beckett did make a great deal of progress and the last episode with loads of Caskett moments was Cuffed (and I mean LOADS) and that was just three episodes ago. Inbetween we had Til Death do us part (which I agree was a bit lower on the Caskett (and Wedding) Department as I had hoped, but hey, in the end they were each others plus one. I call that progress) and Dial M for Mayor which, for me showed HUGE progress from last season (for further reference watch this great video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yz61EiKzq1w by becklebee9nfsk.
And then of course the Hand-Rub moment in An Embarrassment of Bitches.
Objectively speaking that is A LOT more than we got last in only 4 following up episodes. Not to mention the progress before Cuffed.
But I think many of us feel impatient (including me folks, I admit, slowly but steadily, I get impatient too and I would be very disappointed if they wouldn`t get together this season because I think 4 seasons are enough of dancing around each other) BECAUSE OF THE WINTER HIATUS. Cuffed aired 2 months ago and inbetween that we only got 4 episodes so for us it feels like 8 or ten episodes have passed.
And AWM hasn`t disappointed us yet and he says, that he believes, that there is a lot explore when Caskett is finally a couple, so I wouldn`t worry that much. As mentioned earlier in this comment section: AWM wants to end this season differently and suprising. And until now he always managed to suprise me with the season finales so I don`t worry about that.
And all in all: DON`T JUDGE until you`ve actually seen it. We can criticise (or praise) the fourth season when it`s over until then: Just enjoy the ride. As far as I`m concerned there are some promising episodes coming up and I`m REALLY looking forward to the Blue Butterfly. So the kiss isn`t btw real Caskett. SO WHAT. This Episode will most likely be absolutely hilarious and we get to see something entirely different and probably very funny. Just what our Castle-fan hearts want (hey we even get a kiss. And even if it`s not btw real Castle and Beckett, it shouldn`t be too hard to pretend shouldn`t it ;P).
And I`ve seen such negative comments often before an episode aired and there where they were the most hostile it mostly turned out to be a great Caskett episode.
You may have a point about the time breaks that's making us feel the lack of progression. Never thought of that. Just hope there's more movement soon.
DeleteThe breaks have definitely made it seem like things are dragging when, in reality, "Cuffed" was just a few episodes ago. It's easy to forget that fact.
DeleteI think the 4th season has been great so far, personally. Still, I do think it's a work in progress. Right now it may not seem like much has happened between Beckett and Castle but when we reach the end of the season it will all come to fruition. All the smaller moments we've been getting, the looks, the "plus one" business, the hand stroking, "next time let's try it without the tiger," all of it is going to add up to something big for them.
I'm no psychic nor do I have special inside information from AWM, but I just think this is all going somewhere. The Blue Butterfly is going to be a really fun episode that will lead into a serious two-parter. The kiss between the Beckett/Castle alter egos is going to be amazing to watch...just use your imagination and know that we WILL get that between these two...and I do think there will be a "real" kiss coming soon, btw.
I have read many of the blogs regarding the "pace" of the show, and I truly believe our disappointment stems more from the lack of shows and the long hiatus between them versus the quality of the shows. I believe if you watch them in succession you find it is moving just fine.

Thank God for the "Firefly" fans.
Embarressment of bitches might have only got 10.5 million viewers but it was still the most watched show of that night. So what's that say about all the other shows that are on the tv.

He is a good actor and but I never liked him in firefly, because I never liked the show. It's a completely different genre, not for me. But I like him as castle. He is perfect for that role and Stana is perfect for Beckett. However great you may think firefly was, remember it got cancelled after a season, that says something. Why can't some firefly fans be happy for Nathan and his new career wi this sow. I often see firefly fans bashing castle as a show and the other cast members. They are two different shows, so why do people have to still bring it up.
DeleteAnyway as I said I was never a fan, so I had never really paid any attention to Nathan then. But I think the success of the show is Nathan and Stana together Asa team, and of courses the others supporting cast as well. I don't think the show would have been as successful of it was another actress as Beckett, and if it was another actor as castle. What makes it what it is today is the fact that you have these two great actors coming together who are very different and have have different skill sets to bring. Nathan does funny well. Stana does saucy and serious and emotional well. It's a perfect combination. I can't imagine other actors playing those roles and having the same success. You either have chemistry or you don't, and Nathan and Stana most definitely have a lot of it. S it works well for the show.
I have always been someone who watches for the Quality of the show and not who is acting in it. Personally I'm not a sci fi person so although I like Nathan fillion I never watched firefly. In my opinion, castle is more his thing, of course firefly fans will disagree but that's just my opinion.

And I can tell you for a fact fans out of the united states are fans not becauses of firefly as that show was a mainly American fan based show. And it ended very soon so people didn't hear about it.
Castle has lots of fans in and it of the states, and it is because of the characters, story lines and fun it brings us, not because Nathan fillion is acting in it. That may have been the case in the first season, when the show was just beginning to get attention, but it's fan base now has nothing to to firefly. Nathan may be a good actor, but the show would not as good as it is if it were just Nathan and nothing else. So let's give credit where it s due and that is to all the actors on the show and Andrew Marlowe.
Come on, that's so unfair to say...to be very honest, I had never heard of Nathan fillion until castle. So I'm guessing this firefly show he was in wasn't that famous. I don't know. Anyway I don't really care what any of the actors did before, I love them now. Nathan himself has admitted that all his shows prior to castle got cancelled in the first season or something. Anyway I don't watch just for Nathan, I watch for Nathan and Stana. And their chemistry and their cases.

I will admit, this season both elements have been lacking, but it still there, it's just Luke warm, I'm hoping it will get hot soon. But I disagree that the show is made of the Nathan following. Nathan is a good actor, but he is only as good because of the people he is acting with. I'm quite sure the show wouldn't do well if he was acting against someone else. It's the Nathan and Stana chemistry that make the castle and Beckett relationship work and draw fans. They both are good actors and people watch for all these elements.
DeleteIt's simple math, if Nathan is the reason why the show is doing well, then why have all his other shows failed. To me it's because he just wasn't with the right team, and co star. The chemistry didn't work for those and didn't draw people in. So they got cancelled.
The show has good actors and AM and that's why it does well.
i don't understand why people talk about loss of chemistry..it's true, caskett proceeds very slowly but this is exactly how things work in reality.Relationships need time for growing up..nothing is instantaneous.Caskett is like the mirror of millions of relationships..one step forword and two steps back, and if the other person is the right person finally you find yourself in the same place. Personally I prefer this kind of relationship rather than relationship in which you don't understand how it started.Plus I don't understand this custom to complain before the episode..and i think that Castle has success thanks to Nathan AND Stana and their chemistry. Probably other actors would been different and unsuccessful.

castle and beckett had chemistry at one time. they make a great crime fighting duo.other than that there is nothing. they held hands twice each time could be mesureed in seconds. that decoy kiss in the parking lot.i would rather watch two gold fish ina bowl they have more of a relationship than c/b. brother and sister have more interaction than these two.lets leave this wtwt stuff and get on with some good crime solving.

And personally, I think it's awesome how much ground they've covered so far. No chemistry? Good grief, there's a moment in every single episode that never fails to make my shipper heart skip a beat, no matter how small. Don't be so cynical, people! Feel the love! And enjoy the opportunity to watch Nathan Fillion for a good hour of quality entertainment :)

First off some of you are saying Nathan makes the show, I agree bit so does stana, Jon, Seamus, well I'm just going to say the whole cast. Personally because Nathan is the perfect guy to play castle, just like stana is perfect to play Beckett. I mean can you see her playing a victims super perky sister, NO. Castle has a great cast, and they all make the show awesome.
ReplyDeleteSecond I agree the season is a little slow but I'm not expecting C and B to kiss because that would speed things up real quick, and if it happened again, I don't think they can just brush it off. But that could be the cliff hanger in the ep, we don't know. I see why some people aren't getting their hopes up so they won't be disappointed, and ok that's fine you will be more surprised then. Anyway I liked this interview and what Seamus said, I think the second half will be getting better than the first half. I can't judge the second half, and ask you don't yet because well we have only been in the second half for what? 3 episodes. You can't base half a season or the whole season on 3 episodes, that's ridiculous.
And finally I don't think the chemistry has died between castle and Beckett. I mean each episode we get movement. It might be slow but its still movement. I mean would you all rather have AM just say oh martha slept with Jim Beckett before Joanna came along, and ya our DD are half brother and sister? I mean it sounds like a load of crap if that happened. They are not moving at a fast pace yet because they still have secrets and won't rush in to anything. I think that is a good thing. The secrets are coming out soon and that is when we will get all our movement. Beckett's secret should do that for us. There is also an interview that said castle's secret will affect their relationship. I think I speak for everyone when I say we want theses secrets out now. I don't know if they are coming out in the 2 parter or not, but if it does I can't wait to see how they handle it, and what results from it. You can disagree but I can see them getting together at the end of this season since castle's secret is coming out before the finale. Or it could be early next season. So I think this AU episode will show us some movement. I mean do your guy friends slash crushes just always tell you, hey I imagined us as old 40s characters, and my character was madly in love with yours and in it we made out. See we will get movement in this episode, more than we expect anyway. Anyway I love this show and pray and hope and believe the second half of castle will be amazing and I look forward to watching it with you all

DeleteI can't be 100% sure that this is the case, but I think Beckett's secret is coming out in "Pandora," the first episode of the two-parter. It just makes sense considering the title. Plus, Seamus said whatever happens in this two-parter makes Beckett and Castle think about their relationship...oh, and he mentioned a great cliff-hanger, which I assume he means the end of "Pandora" will leave us sweating it out until "Linchpin." So, I think Beckett comes out with her secret at the end of "Pandora" and "Linchpin" focuses on where they will go from there.
AWM said that both secrets are coming out before the end of the season...Beckett's a lot sooner than Castle's. I can't wait to see how it all shakes out!!!!
I can't wait Elena and I agree with you. One thing that confused me about Seamus interview was when he said there would be a great cliffhanger, did he mean in blue butterfly or pandora? Because wasnt he being interviewed about blue butterfly? Because if it's blue butterfly I can see the ending cliff hanger is that beckett goes to her therapist after her and castle maybe kiss or something and she says she's in love with castle and has been in love with him and dr. Burke tells her she is ready and that castle doesn't have to break down her wall because he's already been inside of it. And the screen fades to black. Anyway it might not happen but that would be a great cliff hanger. Anyway it could be pandora he was talking about and I expect that to have a cliffhanger as well. Anyway I'm so freaking excited!:) we need to watch the rest of this season with popcorn Elena lol
DeleteHe was being interviewed about Blue Butterfly but the last part speaks about the two-parter, and that's when he talks about the cliffhanger. I'm sure the cliffhanger will be between Pandora and Linchpin. I'm really so excited about all 3 of the upcoming episodes.

I know right! It would be awesome! And castle con I think was in November and I'm like oh my god I want to go and get tickets to comic con for the castle panel if they go next year. I went back and watched "Kill Shot" tonight. In the ep, Castle asks Espo how worried he should be about Beckett. He makes a comment that he is glad that at least she doesn't remember the shooting (bc that's what Beckett told him). Espo says "Or she doesn't want to remember. A thing like that? It's just easier to keep in a box. This case might bust that box open." I've got to wonder if that comment was foreshadowing for "Pandora." The sniper in "Kill Shot" brought Beckett's PTSD to the surface and forced her to deal with it. Could it be that the events in "Pandora" will be what brings Kate's secret to the surface and forces her to finally confess and deal with the fall out?
ReplyDeleteRemember that in the myth of Pandora's box, things that were supposed to be locked away were let out into the world by Pandora (greed, famine, disease, despair, etc). The world seemed like it was going to end to Pandora, who regretted opening the box and letting those things out. However, there was one more thing left in the box: HOPE...and once she knew there was hope, things didn't seem all that bad anymore. If the title of the episode has anything to do with Kate's secret, I definitely think it comes out in "Pandora," Castle reacts badly at first, Beckett regrets telling him the truth bc it seems she has effectively ended their relationship...but then there is hope because he comes back to her and lets her know it's all gonna be okay.
Anyway, I just thought I'd put it out there because maybe, just maybe, AWM & Co. left us a little Easter egg in that episode to clue us in about the reveal of Beckett's secret. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. :)

I don't what people are seeing, how can they say theres no chemistry? Brother and sister? Really. Come on. There are anything but brother and sister. Those glances they give each other, that would be gross if they brother and sister. They have reduced the sexual tension, because the writers want us to see more true love than lust or hotness. And I'm seeing the true love, it's sweet but I do hope the sexiness comes back soon.
