I know what you mean, Brittany! Although it's totally in Castle's head, I hope that we get some parallel present-day Caskett developments in this episode, too. Since the episode is not set entirely in Castle's head and the journal is actually linked to the crime the team is solving presently, it's not impossible that that might be the case.
Regardless, I think this is going to be a fantastic episode and I really can't wait to see everyone all dressed in their 1940s swag...especially Stana! This picture is almost too much for words.
This picture is doing ridiculous things to my little fangirl heart right now. They both look amazing, like they were made to wear those clothes. Stana keeps saying that we're going to see the "best version of the Castle and Beckett relationship" in this episode. She's also said they definitely kiss and do waaaaay more than that. Though we may not get to see the "real" Beckett and Castle fall into bed with one another relatively soon, whatever will happen to 1940s Caskett is definitely going to help fuel our imaginations until that time comes.

I had to exit and then re-enter the page upwards of 15 times before I could look at the picture without having a SPAZZ ATTACK! It took me another several tries before I could read the whole writing part of it. Even this string of comments has taken me multiple tries!
I just... SIGH. I am honestly BEYOND excited for February 6th. I think I'll be staying home that day so no one disturbs me and messes with my state of excitement/concentration.

No. I totally agree with you. Sex between them isn't necessary, especially if it is between the fictional them. If I want them to kiss and get together, I want it to be the real Castle and Beckett, not the fictional characters that he daydreams about. The season has 11 episodes left in the season, from the Dial M for Mayor week, so maybe they get togeth, maybe they don't. I just don't want them to drag out the relationship between them like Josh and Donna from the West Wing until there is nothing left. I will be happy if the season ends with a kiss.

You really have to wreck it for everyone, why so negative? There's a thousand and one arguments against the statement you made, and a fair few fans on this page to make them. Ratings wise this season is doing the best out of all 4. If you really don't like it, don't watch?
I understand where your frustration is coming from, but let's just step back a bit and try to see a different light, forget the shipper heart -- this episode is aiming for fun. It may not be one where the relationship progresses, but the actors get to play (slightly?) different characters and having fun doing it. And besides, this show is procedural and it tends to stick to its formula for solving crime in a fun way. I gotta say that I love how the writers are stepping it up this season and have done different things from the conventional procedural formula. The heart of the show may be Caskett but the show's roots are procedural elements. You may read this very often, but I have to say it again: just sit back and enjoy the ride. This season has been filled with major progresses, and dare I say, even more than previous years. So please hang in there. The fandom needs to stick together. :)
I watched all Castle eps in it's break. And I think Caskett made more than big steps... and wouldn't it be boring if they would get together from one to the next moment?
I enjoyed EVERY episode this season. It's the best till now.
But I know what you mean. I was a bit sad too because it is not "real" Caskett but hey, when Castle is dreaming this - he wants it like this!

Well...This is Castle's fantasy--per se--coming to life, right? What if Castle's fantasy causes him to react to his real feelings for Beckett?! He may think that he loves this woman so much and decides to take charge and just plants one on her out of the blue? That would be a nice little surprise! I'm not counting on it...but I can see it happening!

First off. I would like to point out that Nathan wears a suit well. Very well. Plus, from the article we can tell that the episode is half in Castle's head, and half real (approximately). There will be some connection between the two story lines and I am hoping, that by the end of the episode, the kisses won't only be between the PI and the 'Gangsta's Moll'. Spoilers have said a lot of things, and I am really hoping for some Caskett from this episode.
