Okay like I said on the discusion post this promo looks fantastic. When I first heard about the kiss in this episode I was kinda disapointed and didnt really want to see a kiss if it wasnt between the real Castle and Beckett. However, this promo changed my mind-I am definetly pumped about this episode. I just still hope there is a real Beckett/Castle kiss by the end of the season too!! The whole cast looks stunning and I would love , LOVE to get to wear Stanas wardrobe !! This episode is set in one of my favorite times the 40s!! Glad to now be excited about this episode but AM are you reading this .... ( i seriously doubt it but here goes.... ) Can we get a real kiss too this season plllleeaasssseee ?!? Haha anyway hope these two weeks go by fast !! -Brittany
Anyone else find it cheap that we only get significant Castle Beckett progress via fantasy sequence with no actual "real life" progress? They really couldn't throw us a real life kiss? LAME.
Seamus, Susan, Stana, and Jon all look great. Nathan was made to wear those clothes. Unfortunately, he looks a bit too burly. I'm hoping the PI/Moll kiss is a fake out and we get a castle kiss instead. I hate waiting two weeks but if it's for a kiss and a chance to hear Tamala Jones sing it's something worth waiting for.
I think Nathan looks amazing, not to mention the rest of the cast, he suits the fedora especially well. I know everybody's all bummed out cos the kiss is between 40's Caskett and not real Caskett, but look at the cast, man they are stunning. I'm excited as for this, and what I'm hoping for especially is that they'll kiss, then break back to real life, and the real Castle and Beckett are lip-locked, how awesome would that be?
I'm actually looking forward to the episode per se, because I think it will be really fun to watch, but I have to agree with Anon 8:50 with the LAAAAME part. Specially after tonight's "back to the past". I don't know if I want to see a kiss now, cause it kinda feels like they're throwing us some bones... Pun intended
Looks like it's going to be a great episode, and I am super excited. But here goes the weird question: Does anyone know which song is playing in the promo? Please people, I'm in love with that song already... O.o :D
They aren't ready for a real kiss. It would not fit in the "real life" story. This is to ease some of the sexual tension- and I am ALL FOR IT. SMOOOOOCH! :D
@Brittany me 2. I want to watch blue butterfly right now. Hopefully these 2 weeks will be super quick. The promo looks awesome. And I think we will get another kiss this season since this one will be fake. And something that intrests me is AM said the secrets will come out sooner than we think, and everybody thinks beckett's is coming out in the 2 parter. But now idk? Does anybody think it's possible that maybe becketts will come out in this ep? Just a thought
At Anon 11.21, it won't eased sexual tension, it shouldn't because it's imaginary. It's not real, so the sexual tension between Kate and Rick should be the same still. Honestly I'm not that interested in this one. I mean it is LAME...this is Stana and nathan kissing not castle and Beckett. And I'm interested in castle and Beckett, not Stana and Nathan. Even in the promo, all is see is Stana and Nathan, I don't see castle and Beckett. So I'm not really interested in this episode.
And yes, this is a BONES...just another way for them to dag it out longer.
I WANT TO PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE FOR BRINGING UP BONES. JUST SO YOU KNOW. THERE HAVE BEEN A LOT OF OTHER SHOWS THAT DID THIS VERY THING. IE: X-FILES AND JAG. BONES WAS NOT THE FIRST.
Not too excited about the kiss - it's just a cheap trick to give something to the fans without giving them actually something -, but between all the fantasy/dream/parallel world episodes of all the series I've ever watched, this is the one that looks more promising!
Why we have to wait 2 whole weeks? Why?why? I have exams to do and i need psychological break sometimes..don't you understand that abc? I'm a poor Italian fan and i have to wait to see nathan and his suit..it's not fair ahah Btw nathan is amazing and stana is stunning..can we have like 300 sneak peeks? :)
Honestly I don't know what's the hype abou this episode. Because they kiss? Well it's not real, so i don't get why fans are so excited...anyway just my opinion. I mean it's bad enough that they don't talk about real moments and stuff , now we need fake ones? It's not going to matter to them because it's fake and it will never be talked about. They have to stop this dumb circles they go in. I used to love their characters but now, they just annoy me with their pretending and hiding. For goodness sake, why can't they grow up, I mean the writers.
So just my opinion, but....this is NOT LAME. It's called a THEME episode people. Look at the costumes, they all look stunning, they wouldn't be able to dress up like this in the present day. Its not Stana and Nathan kissing, its Castle's imagination bringing Rick and Kate to life in the 1940's, its not Stana and Nathan. Now as for Bones, hell I don't even watch Bones but I feel like I know everything about it from all the comments that oh AM's doing a Bones. Cut the writers a break too they do an amazing job. Now everybody flame me for coming across really bitchy, but seriously how can you write this episode off as being lame before its even aired? If after its aired and you still think its crap say so on the discussion post!
I agree with you..that's the point!and castle is a crime drama so the main theme is about crime and sometimes caskett needs to be in stand-by..i mean it's not gossip girl guys! And is the connection between their relationship and crime's resolution that made the show amazing..it's about crime,caskett,friendship,secrets,mistery..that for me is Castle.
Well said Kelly. People tend to get centered on one or two shows... but I believe almost every show I have ever watched (or at least character based shows) has done a theme or AU or flash-back-to-another-time episode. Yes Bones did it, but some older examples include The X-Files, Walker TR, Early Edition, JAG, and probably more but I think I made my point.
And for every one saying they want a REAL LIFE kiss between Caskett...Hello! You're watching TV! It's two people playing characters... now those two people are playing different versions of those same characters. It's supposed to be fun. Those real life people like to change it up a bit in their job and keep it fresh.
Well, I'm not sure about other people who said "Lame", but I did, and it seems like I didn't get my point across. I wasn't writing the episode as being lame, but the fact that they kiss in it. I'm quite happy with the THEME (even though it has been done many times) and I am sure it's going to be brilliant to watch.
However, if you are right (and I think you are) and the show is about crime, and not just about Castle and Beckett, then be true to that. Why do we NEED to have a kiss in a noir episode? Let it stand by if you wish, drag it out to a boring point if that's what you want, but don't do the alternate reality kiss again.. I just think it has been done waaay too many times and it's getting old. That's what I referred to as LAME. Amy
I think in my opinion the problem with noir episodes, is that the novelty has died down. It was very interesting when done on many other previous shows, but now it's kind of been there done that feeling. A least for me it is. I've watched so many shows with this theme and now I'm bored of it I guess.
If this episodes actually does some good for caskett and pushes them to admit their feelings or anything remotely close to that, I will be fine. But the problem is most times these noir fantasy episodes are there to give fans a little of what they want before dragging it out for much much longer.
At Kelly, I can understand what you're saying about folks who are already saying it isn't going to be nice, yeah I would also comment once I've watched. As for the bones referencing, after their noir episode, bones and booth went their separate ways for like 2 seasons, booth even started dating someone else, that's when lots of fans abandon ship because it really became downright ridiculous. I used to watch bones but don't anymore, the spark is gone, the writers took too long to get them together, and threw in silly reasons to keep the apart. Now apparently they are raising a child, when they didn't even date, so you can see how stupid the show has become. So I can understand why castle fans are afraid it's going to turn into a bones.
Honestly I'm hoping that the comments above about it being like bones is wrong. I would like to believe that AM is smarter than that. But you never know I guess. I will just have to watch and see. If this episode doesn't do anything for caskett in real life then I will be disappointed because it will be like any other noir episode that's been done, and so many have been done the exact same way. So I hope that it sort of propels castle and Beckett to at the very least talk about what the are. Because seriously what the hell are they? It's like a million dollar question. I don't want it to be just another fantasy episode that doesn't mean anything and all is forgotten because it isn't real.
This is an episode before the two-parter. So I don't expect something huge happening. It's going to be fun. They can't have only serious episodes with massive character/plot development every week. Castle is also about the fun. And this is pure fun. Castle's imagination, the atmosphere in the episode, everyone looking great and the music, oh the wonderful music. I personally don't care REAL Beckett and REAL Castle won't kiss in this episode, I'm okay with it. I'm gonna watch it, have fun and love the music and costumes. Because that is what it's going to be - fun, music and costumes.
And then my heart will be crushed by the episodes after this one. But it's okay.
Im excited in every episode, so I'm excited in this one too.
AM is the better writer than Bones' writer I think. I also watch Bones and I like it but Castle is the better serie.
And I don't think that AM is going to "tell us that it's gonna be a loooooong time before they realy get together". I think that he knows that the fans DON'T want a "fake-kiss" and so my opinion is that he devised something good... I dont know how to say...hmmm
Please, please, please dont condemn the episode befor you hadn't seen it.
Btw, I don't understand why the hell are fans DISAPPOINTED IN CASTE??? How could you guyes!? When you want to see an easy show - watch something else, because Castle isn't an easy show...
In first way Castle is as mentioned a Crime-Serie.
Okay but now to the promo:
I love it! All are looking way more than perfect! they look fantastic... no! way better than fantastic! Stana's dresses had killing me... that's all I can say... I'm speechless OMG!!
Emi - germany (sry for my english, i've got a bad day today)
I'm sooooo excited for this ep. I completely have faith in AM and the Castle writers. I also watch Bones and I can definately understand why Castle fans would be concerned about the show going down a similar path, but really guys? Surely we know that Castle's writers are better than that! I'm sure no matter whatever happens in this ep. it'll be brilliant :) Just look at the promo! Their outfits look amazing!
I agree and disagree with some comments. I agree that they look fantastic, and the episode will be fun I hope, but I disagree that they are not following bones path. This whole noir episode thing with their fake kiss is just not doing it for me. I love the show but nowadays more than any other season I've been wondering what the heck are the writers doing. Sometimes castle seems so blur and doesn't respond to becketts little hints, then Beckett who is suppose tone breaking down walls, is taking like forever to show castle how she feels. She is always so vague. I don't know I'm on the boat of if it isn't real then it shouldn't happen, the kiss I mean. It's a waste of time and its a cheap way to dag things out.
Why must people criticise this episode before they've seen more than a few photos and the promo? I don't know about anyone else here, but my first reaction was HUNJENGUIHENFVNAHOCHSILGNGNGGGGGGGGGGG
When i found out abt the noir episode, i was in equal parts disappointed and excited both. However, after watchin this promo, all the disappointment has vanished into thin air, leaving only excitement in it's wake. I get why people are upset, even i think going the bones way is totally cheating. It's just a way to fool the fans into letting them think they're getting what they want. But like someone mentioned before, bones kept their leads apart for 2 reasons more for ridiculous reasons, and directly gave them a baby. I love bones, still watch the show, but i'm disappointed in it, because the relationship could've been done so much better. Anyway, this is about Castle, and i'd like to tell everyone, that i know you guys are upset, i was too, but before you judge the episode based no other shows, atleast wait till the episode airs. It might really surprise you. Of course, i'm not guaranteeing this, nothing may happen in the real world, no progress, but that's ok with me. I love everything about the 40s, it's one of my favourite periods, so i shall just watch the episode as if i'm watching a short noir film with Nathan/Stana in it, which is unbelievably awesome. Just sit back and enjoy the show people, we haven't seen the rest of the season yet, so trust Marlowe that he will deliver. Their secrets are yet to come out. The wro raster is around the corner, so is an episode about Castle's dad. There is so much to look forward to. Stop nitpicking. Oh, and if progress is what you want, go watch 4x13, and observe how much Beckett laughs now, how much fun she has, how she's finally letting her past go and making an effort at being happy. Compare it wait season 1, or even with 4x01, and you'll find yourselves being stupid for saying their relationship/the show/ characters lack progress!
I'm not even going to bother to read negative comments. Nobody is being fooled with this episode. We know ahead of time that the Beckett/Castle hook up is part of the flashback, so it's different from when Bones did that ridiculous "mind meld coma dream" episode and fans were lead to believe differently about the premise of that episode. (I love Bones, btw, just will always despise that episode.)
The promo for The Blue Butterfly is fantastic! It looks like it's going to be such a fun episode before the heavy two-parter that follows it. The entire cast looks gorgeous in their 1940s swag, especially Nathan and Stana! I know it's not a "real" kiss (and likely more) that we're getting in this episode, but it's going to be so great to watch anyway. Plus, it's important to keep in mind that the entire episode (from what I understand) is not set in this flashback. The flashback is running parallel to a present-day case the team is solving. The journal Castle finds is from 1947 and the events in that journal are helping to solve the present-day case (hence Castle imagining everyone playing a role in the journal's story). So, considering how hot the attraction and love story between 1947 Beckett and Castle will be, I'm hopeful we may see how imagining themselves as star-crossed lovers will affect the real Beckett and Castle.
In any case, this looks like it's going to be a classic episode! Of course, everyone's entitled to their own opinion, positive or negative, but I just think this is going to be an episode that will leave us ALL smiling.
You know how Marlowe torments us with expectations of Caskett, then gives us what we least expect? Wouldn't it be cool if Blue Butterfly went down something like this... As Castle and Beckett's 1940's characters are about to kiss, that scene morphs into present day Castle and Beckett caught up in the story of the noir case and BAM, said the lady - KB/RC kiss. I am slowly removing my rose colored glasses so that none of you will feel too bad for punching me in the nose. Just sayin' it could happen 'cause Marlowe is a sneaky bugger. However it goes down, I will still have a great time watching Castle as I always do!
On a side note - Elena, I have missed talking with you - I had been inexplicably locked out of the comments for several days. Looks like whatever the glitch was is now fixed.
Hi Maria! Glad to see you're back and whatever the issue was has been resolved. :)
Anyway, I love the sound of your idea! AWM is a fantastic writer, as are all the writers who are regulars over at Castle. They're great at surprising us and keeping the show fresh and exciting. This episode is a great example of that! If this episode was entirely set in this 1940s fantasy Castle has running through his mind, I'd still be excited. I'm extra excited, though, to see how AWM is going to weave the events unfolding in the journal Castle finds with the present-day case. I'm hoping Castle is sharing this story with the team (I imagine he must be bc it's pertinent to solving the case) and they (particularly Beckett) are just as wrapped up in the story as he is. It's likely we'll get to see this story have a powerful effect on both Beckett and Castle, especially since they have both been imagining themselves as clandestine lovers. I'm not under the impression that this is THE episode that will push them together. It's a FUN episode, so I think we will get some (present-day) Caskett moments but they will be more along the flirty, flustered, blush-inducing lines than the proclaiming love for one another, passionate kissing lines.
I'm totally picturing your idea in my head, Maria, and I really love it! Real Caskett kiss or not, I want to see them (especially Beckett) get swept away by this story and knocked on their butts at this vivid image of them as a couple. Castle is, I'm sure, quite used to indulging in his fantasies about Beckett. I'm really interested to see what it's like when Beckett gives in and allows her thoughts concerning Castle run wild.
Whatever happens, though, I'm so excited about this episode. I have a feeling it's like the overture to what is sure to be a month full of intense and wonderful episodes! :)
Elena, just wondering, you said that we know ahead of time that this flashback is part of the hook up...really? Where did you read that. Never heard of that. Can please let us know. Thanks.
I won't judge the episode before it comes out, but I am not expecting much. That has been the theme of this season. Why should I trust Marlowe? Why are the writers amazing? They have dropped the ball a number of times this season. I have seen more creativity and better ideas on this very website. In Season 3, the almost every episode encompassed all of the elements that make Castle a superior show. The kiss between C and B was a shocker, and then the relationship progressed throughout the season, culminating with Beckett actually talking about it, and the ILY of course. There were also gripping cases, funny cases, witty banter, comraderie...all the good stuff. Most of this season's episodes are coming up short, or it feels really forced. What was with the hand holding scene last night? There was no point to it. Nobody is sure what Beckett's reaction was supposed to signify, and we will never find out, so why even add it in? It was so out of place in the otherwise funny episode. That is not a sign of good writing. So, I completely understand why people are expecting nothing from this noir episode; it is based on experience. Not to mention it is being so over-hyped, it will never live up to expectations.
Ditto! AWM is a very gifted writer and show-runner. I truly believe he pays attention to other shows, draws from their successes, and learns from their mistakes. He is very committed to this show and, especially, to the Beckett/Castle relationship. I have no doubt he will do right by them and by the fans! He is so vocal about how much he loves and respects the fans of this show. He knows we want to see them together and he wants to give us what we want...but he isn't going to rush things just to appease the angry mobs, you know. So, yeah, give AWM a break and let him stick to the plan!
Just wanted to say that judging by the way that Andrew Marlowe and Terri Miller talk about themselves and this show, they seem to be their own models for Kate and Rick. They have the same playful banter and have admitted to acting out many of the scenes they have collaborated on in Castle scripts. Look how well things have turned out for Terri and Andrew to see where Kate and Rick will end up. Patience folks, Castle and Beckett may be dancing in circles and stepping on each others feet right now but when they find their rhythm it's gonna be the hottest tango we've ever seen! Trust in Marlowe and company. I would also like to add that we are so lucky to have an actress like Stana who can say so much with just her eyes - and Nathan as well. Castle has the best ensemble cast since Hill Street Blues IMO - loved the hotness of "Pizza Man" and Joyce's relationship - proof that once TV characters get together it can work, and if anyone can keep it going it is NF and SK FTW!
Maria, I actually tweeted Terri Miller and asked her if Beckett and Castle are largely inspired by the relationship she and Andrew share. To my delight, she actually replied and said "ummmm YEAAAHHH!" So, I feel like an extraordinary amount of love, care, and consideration is put into crafting and growing this beautiful romance between Beckett and Castle. I have no doubt that they are going to get those together (maybe sooner than later) and then spend the rest of the series exploring their relationship...perhaps even taking them as far as marriage.
AWM and Terri have both been quite outspoken about their belief that there is so much more story to tell and explore once romantic leads get together. There are tons of challenges to be faced and sweet moments to be experienced even after the "will they, won't they" becomes "Yep, they totally did." So, call me crazy, but I think they could be together as soon as the end of this season...or, if it's not a done deal, they could be right on the cusp as we head into the summer hiatus.
So, yeah, let's trust in AWM and Co. They're smart cookies. They know what they're doing over there!!!
This looks like it's going to be a fantastic show, just like last nights was. The cast all look amazing in the period costumes. Watching 'the boys' playing thugs against Castle should be fun to see. And seeing Castle slipping from reality to fantasy and back again should be...interesting :)
@Elana Thank you for your comments here. I enjoy reading them as they are well thought out and sometimes makes me think about some things in the show in a different way. I appreciate your insight.
I trust AM and the writers that they know what they're doing. Four seasons in and they haven't steered us wrong yet. I belive this is going to be an episode that we'll all be talking about for a very long time.
Thanks, Will! I love thinking, writing, and talking about this fantastic show with other fans. It's great to share ideas and debate about what's already happened and what's to come. So many people have such interesting insights and ideas. I love hearing them!!!
Obviously, I'm a big supporter of AWM. I can't think of a single episode of this show that I've ever been disappointed by. Not all are as fantastic as the others, but all are wonderful in their own way. Things in a given episode may not have turned out the way I thought they might, but they always turn out as they should! AWM absolutely has a plan here and knows what he's doing. I trust him completely and, even if he doesn't go where I personally think he should, I know he's going where the show needs to go in the long run.
I'm really, truly excited to watch this inventive and unique episode. I definitely think it will have us talking and rewatching afterwards!!!
Ok I guess Im middle of the rd. here. Castle is my favorite show on tv. Love AM and most of the writing. However I do agree with some who have said they feel something is lacking this season. I really miss the banter and the flirting. You dont see that much anymore. Sadly that is what I miss most. It was what I feel made this show different from the other straight lackluster crime dramas. As for the Noir eppy. Not expecting any great revelations in the relationship department but that doesnt mean I wont enjoy this fabulous show. We have to wait 2 wks 2 find out if it was good or bad. It all comes down 2 what ur expectations r. Im gonna watch and enjoy with no expectations.
Hi Lorie. I think the beginning of the season was quieter when it came to the banter and the flirting. I agree with you there. However, I think it was done purposefully to really bring forth the after effects of Beckett's shooting. She was in a really bad place and not sure what to do with the knowledge that Castle is in love with her. Though she is also in love with him, at the time, she didn't know how to take knowing he loves her and just be happy about it. Instead, the knowledge of his love for her weighed her down, in a way. She wanted him to love her, of course, but she was paralyzed and unable to really do anything with that knowledge bc of her mindset back then. In my mind, we saw that burden lift from her shoulders when, at the end of Kill Shot, she takes control of her life and declares that she is ready to let go of her mom's murder. In that moment, with those words, Beckett stops allowing her mom's death to drive the decisions she makes in life, particularly those regarding her own happiness. She opens herself up to the possibility of true happiness not contingent upon solving her mom's case, which she had never done before that. I think she always felt like she OWED her mom and didn't deserve happiness/love until she paid in full, you know? Acknowledging that her mom is dead and she can't let her down was a big moment for Beckett bc it kind of flipped a switch in her head.
Since the end of Kill Shot, I think we have seen a much lighter, happier, more flirty Kate Beckett. She is practically glowing whenever she is around Castle. To me, it feels like she is seeing him through new eyes...not that she didn't see him or love him before...it's just that she is looking at him and seeing her future at the same time now. She looks at him and sees the man she loves, the man who loves her, and the man who holds the key to her future. She may not be throwing herself at him...that's not Beckett's style...but she has been openly flirty, more forward, and just plain effervescent around him. I think we're only going to see things continue to build in that direction as we get into the back half of the season.
Oh, also, I think Castle is still his same charming self with her but I think he toned it down a bit bc he sensed that's what she needed earlier on in the season. We've seen him back off and give her space when she needed it (i.e. Kill Shot) which is the best thing he could have done for her. So, yeah, the flirting was a bit muted earlier in the season but I think that was done pointedly. Let's see what the rest of the season has in store for us. :)
Elena, my sentiments exactly! I was just about to reply to some of the people on here saying that the writing has been terrible this season because there has been less flirting and banter and less romantic development. It is not the writing- IMO, the writing has been exceptional this season- but because of Kate's mother's case and the knowledge of Castle's "I love you" etc etc. And I noticed the very obvious lightness and happiness that Beckett was showing in yesterday's episode, her laughing and smiling, showing that she is indeed opening up. Can't wait to see where the writers go from here and I can't wait to see the next episode, and the next, and the next, and the next...
I also had an epic idea- how cool would it be for, in the noir episode, Castle to start reading out the diary for the crew and delegate each character as they are introduced, and then it gets awkward and romantic when he starts to describe how the detective and the gangster's girlfriend fell in love instantly? :D
This looks great!! I would like a real kiss before the end of the season but I'm ok with a flashback one for now. I wasn't expecting a promo until next week!!
I am eternally an optimist, so I am really not seeing anything negative in this episode. I think the forties noir theme is fabulous, particularly the costumes. All of them look amazing, like they were born to wear those clothes.
The plot sounds really interesting, and even the fact that the Castle-Beckett romance is imaginary doesn't put me off in the least. It'll be like watching a mini-movie.
Maybe this has been done before by other shows, but the thing that will make Castle stand out from all the others is the characters. They each have their own story to develop, and that's what I look forward to watching.
For those of you disappointed with the progression of Castle and Kate's relationship this season, I can totally understand where you're coming from, even though I don't hold the sam view. It is extremely slow (which personally I like), and I know that can be frustrating. I only want to request that you state your opinions politely, no need to make the comment section an embarrassment of bitches.
I agree with most of you guys. So we don't know if the kiss is just between the fake characters and the real characters. It's still a kiss. The whole show is about having fun, and bringing fun to the viewers. So have fun with it. The writers know what they are doing and they will bring forth the Caskett relationship at the perfect time. Just wait. The moment that they make the relationship official, we'll all be squirming in our seats, screaming like little girls, and jumping up in down in a room full of family members who think that we are crazy.
As for my opinion, I love the idea of this episode. I find it fun, and sure they are doing somewhat the same thing as Bones did. I loved that episode. I think that this episode will make us laugh, and smile, and just feel happy. So. I will definitely be watching this episode. I don't care if it takes them a while to get together. I have put my trust in Andrew Marlowe and his gang and I will be happy when they get together. As long as they get together. And it is really cute, and full of love. I am glad that they put out the promos this week, as well as the promo pictures and the promo pictures for Pandora, or what ever the episode is called. I honestly wasn't expecting them to be up until early next week. So, now I have even more stuff to watch until the 6th.
Elena ya I totally agree with everything u have said. Thanks for the insight. I do get what they r doing with the characters but I still miss that aspect of the show. You know the line in Cuffed where she says "next time lets do it without the tiger" that kind of banter. Its cute and funny and really makes the show individual dont u think? Yes, I do believe Kate and Castle are working themselves and their relationship out and I will wait. I do love the show and Im a big fan and I believe AM has a fabulous plan for the future of the show and the relationships. Im just missing the funny lighthearted banter. Im sure it will slowly become more frequent.
I LOVED that sassiness that Kate showed with that line!!! The sly little look over her should as she strolled out of the precinct was the icing on the cake!!! I totally get what you mean, too, about the banter. I think it's slowly creeping back into their relationship now that Kate seems to have turned a corner. I love, love, LOVE all the crazy wide smiles we've been getting from Beckett lately. It's been so nice to see her happy! Following The Blue Butterfly, I think the two-parter is going to be intense, Caskett-wise, so I'm bracing for s**t to hit the fan there and looking forward to it at the same time!
Wow, I've just seen them. They look like they're going into a bunkerlike secret headquaters. In one picture it evern seems that guy is giving them some bliindfold. ha ha. Yeah, it does seem intense.
Hnnnnnnnnnggggggggggg
ReplyDeleteI think the "could be fatal" they are talking about the fans having to wait 2 weeks!!!
ReplyDeleteYea I think so too. Lol!!!!
Deleteahahaaahh I'm agreee!!
DeleteW...O...W
ReplyDeleteThere wasn't a Canadian promo this week :( OMG, I so can't wait to see that episode!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'll edit the post.
Deletei like it :)
ReplyDeleteOkay like I said on the discusion post this promo looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteHaha anyway hope these two weeks go by fast !!
-Brittany
Fatal. To the fandom!!! I can't wait that long! They all look fantastic! Not to mention-- KISS INCOMINGGGG! :D
ReplyDeleteGuh. I can't flippin wait.
MTAM
Anyone else find it cheap that we only get significant Castle Beckett progress via fantasy sequence with no actual "real life" progress? They really couldn't throw us a real life kiss? LAME.
ReplyDeleteWHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. OMG. THIS ENTIRE SEASON HAS BEEN REAL LIFE PROGRESSION. ARE YOU BLIND? OPEN YOUR EYES. ARE WE WATCHING THE SAME SHOW?
DeleteSeamus, Susan, Stana, and Jon all look great.
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOD!!! i cannot wait for this episode. it is going to be epic!!!
ReplyDeleteI think Nathan looks amazing, not to mention the rest of the cast, he suits the fedora especially well.
ReplyDeleteOh i'm dead!they look amazing!nathan marry me ahah
ReplyDeletePs i love narrator'a voice :)
ReplyDeleteAmy
Looks like it's going to be a great episode, and I am super excited. But here goes the weird question: Does anyone know which song is playing in the promo? Please people, I'm in love with that song already... O.o :D
ReplyDeleteAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH dancing AND kissing!!!!!! haha and hilarious promo I.CANT.WAIT!!!
ReplyDelete-Carina
They aren't ready for a real kiss. It would not fit in the "real life" story. This is to ease some of the sexual tension- and I am ALL FOR IT. SMOOOOOCH! :D
ReplyDelete@Brittany me 2.
ReplyDeleteAt Anon 11.21, it won't eased sexual tension, it shouldn't because it's imaginary.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, this is a BONES...just another way for them to dag it out longer.
I WANT TO PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE FOR BRINGING UP BONES. JUST SO YOU KNOW. THERE HAVE BEEN A LOT OF OTHER SHOWS THAT DID THIS VERY THING. IE: X-FILES AND JAG. BONES WAS NOT THE FIRST.
DeleteNot too excited about the kiss - it's just a cheap trick to give something to the fans without giving them actually something -, but between all the fantasy/dream/parallel world episodes of all the series I've ever watched, this is the one that looks more promising!
ReplyDeleteWhy we have to wait 2 whole weeks? Why?why?
ReplyDeleteI have exams to do and i need psychological break sometimes..don't you understand that abc?
I'm a poor Italian fan and i have to wait to see nathan and his suit..it's not fair ahah
Btw nathan is amazing and stana is stunning..can we have like 300 sneak peeks?
ReplyDeleteSo just my opinion, but....this is NOT LAME.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you..that's the point!and castle is a crime drama so the main theme is about crime and sometimes caskett needs to be in stand-by..i mean it's not gossip girl guys! And is the connection between their relationship and crime's resolution that made the show amazing..it's about crime,caskett,friendship,secrets,mistery..that for me is Castle.
DeleteNice post Kelly, I totally agree with you. Couldn't have said it better myself :)
DeleteWell said Kelly.
DeleteAnd for every one saying they want a REAL LIFE kiss between Caskett...Hello!
DeleteHowever, if you are right (and I think you are) and the show is about crime, and not just about Castle and Beckett, then be true to that.
ReplyDeleteIf this episodes actually does some good for caskett and pushes them to admit their feelings or anything remotely close to that, I will be fine.
Ohhh..I just cant wait to see this ep ...........its gonna be legendary
ReplyDeleteThis is an episode before the two-parter. So I don't expect something huge happening. It's going to be fun.
ReplyDeleteThey can't have only serious episodes with massive character/plot development every week.
But it's okay.
exactly!
DeleteWell said, 3:39, amen to that!!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with anon 3:39 u are absolutely spot on
ReplyDeleteIm excited in every episode, so I'm excited in this one too.
ReplyDeleteAM is the better writer than Bones' writer I think.
ReplyDeleteI agree and disagree with some comments.
ReplyDeleteWhy must people criticise this episode before they've seen more than a few photos and the promo? I don't know about anyone else here, but my first reaction was
ReplyDeleteHUNJENGUIHENFVNAHOCHSILGNGNGGGGGGGGGGG
ReplyDeleteI wish people would shut the hell up, sit back and enjoy the show. Sheesh. Why judge it before you see it?
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought everybody was entitled to have an opinion..
DeleteI'm not even going to bother to read negative comments.
ReplyDeleteThe promo for The Blue Butterfly is fantastic!
DeleteAs Castle and Beckett's 1940's characters are about to kiss, that scene morphs into present day Castle and Beckett caught up in the story of the noir case and BAM, said the lady - KB/RC kiss.
Maria
Hi Maria! Glad to see you're back and whatever the issue was has been resolved. :)
DeleteAnyway, I love the sound of your idea!
Thanks.
DeleteI won't judge the episode before it comes out, but I am not expecting much.
ReplyDeleteCan I just say I am damn tired of all the negativity on the comments on this site? Every. Single. Post. Trust in your writers, guys. It's getting old.
ReplyDeleteKudos to those who are staying positive. AM has a plan.
DeleteJust wanted to say that judging by the way that Andrew Marlowe and Terri Miller talk about themselves and this show, they seem to be their own models for Kate and Rick.
DeleteMaria
Maria, I actually tweeted Terri Miller and asked her if Beckett and Castle are largely inspired by the relationship she and Andrew share. To my delight, she actually replied and said "ummmm YEAAAHHH!" So, I feel like an extraordinary amount of love, care, and consideration is put into crafting and growing this beautiful romance between Beckett and Castle. I have no doubt that they are going to get those together (maybe sooner than later) and then spend the rest of the series exploring their relationship...perhaps even taking them as far as marriage.
DeleteAWM and Terri have both been quite outspoken about their belief that there is so much more story to tell and explore once romantic leads get together.
"It costs nothing to say something kind. Even less to shut up altogether" - Nathan Fillion (from his twitter page)
ReplyDeleteThis looks like it's going to be a fantastic show, just like last nights was. The cast all look amazing in the period costumes. Watching 'the boys' playing thugs against Castle should be fun to see. And seeing Castle slipping from reality to fantasy and back again should be...interesting :)
ReplyDelete@Elana Thank you for your comments here.
DeleteObviously, I'm a big supporter of AWM.
ReplyDeleteHi Lorie.
DeleteSince the end of Kill Shot, I think we have seen a much lighter, happier, more flirty Kate Beckett.
DeleteI also had an epic idea- how cool would it be for, in the noir episode, Castle to start reading out the diary for the crew and delegate each character as they are introduced, and then it gets awkward and romantic when he starts to describe how the detective and the gangster's girlfriend fell in love instantly? :D
This looks great!! I would like a real kiss before the end of the season but I'm ok with a flashback one for now. I wasn't expecting a promo until next week!!
ReplyDeleteI am eternally an optimist, so I am really not seeing anything negative in this episode. I think the forties noir theme is fabulous, particularly the costumes. All of them look amazing, like they were born to wear those clothes.
ReplyDeleteThe plot sounds really interesting, and even the fact that the Castle-Beckett romance is imaginary doesn't put me off in the least.
ReplyDeleteAs for my opinion, I love the idea of this episode.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED that sassiness that Kate showed with that line!!!
DeleteYeah, cause apparently Beckett's secret slips out...? Have you any of you guys seen the promo pictures yet? They look tense.
DeleteWow, I've just seen them. They look like they're going into a bunkerlike secret headquaters. In one picture it evern seems that guy is giving them some bliindfold. ha ha. Yeah, it does seem intense.
