I think it was Andrew Marlow who said, in early season 4, that Beckett was going to see a shrink and she would have a confidant, seeing the picture of the dog sitting on the couch in front of Beckett, I can't help wondering, if the dog will not be the confidant and Beckett will confess to the dog how much she loves Castle, and she will tell to the dog that her relation with Castle is complicated.

The dog is such a metaphor for Castle himself-- we've always said that he's been like a puppy following her around. It's adorable.
What a sweet and unexpected moment at the end there, but going off my knowledge of previous sneak peeks and the patten the show takes, I'd bet they get interrupted. But. Going off that same pattern, usually the sneak peeks aren't the biggest moments of the episode, so maybe there's gonna be something better! ;D

Yes, but SO MUCH has happened since then! That was before the ILY and they had to snuggle together for survival. The time was different, because it was not absolutely necessary for Castle to grab her hand. He just did it out of impulse because they are so comfortable around each other now! It was natural at first, but then they both realized what he was doing, and then... we wait until monday night for the rest! :(
I am officially writing this from beyond the grave because that clip KILLED me!!! First of all, that dog is absolutely adorable. I am in love with him. Second of all, I love the whole "good parent, strict parent" thing they have going on. You know they would absolutely be that way with an actual child. Third of all, the hand rubbing!!! Good Lord, Marlowe!
Stana and Nathan played that whole scene perfectly (or what we've seen so far of it). I love how Beckett so obviously goes weak in the knees at his touch. I can practically feel her heart pounding through the screen. It's so hot how Castle doesn't stop rubbing her hand even after they exchange that look. It's not that he's challenging her in a way that's aggressive or makes her uncomfortable. He's definitely testing the waters and seeing how far she will let him go. God, that look he gives her as he continues to stroke her hand is just...just...aaahhhhhh!!! There are no words!
Of course, they're gonna get interrupted. Someone above said maybe the dog interrupts them. I can see that happening. Though the interruption is to be expected, I just hope it's not one of them that pulls away or ends the moment. Beckett is notorious for being the one to break away but I hope the Beckett we see in this scene is the Beckett who challenged Castle back in Knockout: "And what about you, Rick?" Not that I expect or want her to suddenly be aggressive, but I don't want her to run away from this, either!
Totally agree with you, Elena. He realized qhat he was doing, and, surprised that she didn't freak out or smacked his had, decided to go on and find out how far he could go without making her run away. She's a different Beckett since Kill Shot.
Anon 11:19, she is definitely quite different since Kill Shot! She's turned a corner, for sure. Her decision to let go of her mom's murder has definitely lifted a burden from her shoulders. She was quite serious in 'Dial M' bc that was just a very serious episode...very little room for humor. However, in "Til Death," Beckett was so light and almost giddy. The way she looked at him, smiling that smile she reserves for him...sigh...that's the look of someone completely besotted...that's the look she's giving him in this scene.
I know this scene isn't going to lead to them making out and declaring their love for one another. I'm hoping Beckett follows her heart and just rolls with the moment. You know Castle is ready to go wherever the moment takes them.
Truthfully I wasnt expecting much from this eppy. Actually i thought it was gonna be dumb. NOT NOW!!!!! HOLY MAN I was shocked. Yes as someone else said usually the sneak peeks arent the best part so it would be great 2 see a few glaces or a confession to the dog. lol

LOVE THAT SNEAK PEEK!!! that's all I'm saying. Ever since I've heard they will share custody for a cute dog I was wondering why would AM bring a dog into the game. Obviously the dog is an adorable add to them and obviously he has magic powers (handholding!!!). But the dog got me thinking. I could be wrong but maybe the dog is more for later situations. I think when the secrets come out and they will have a huge fight and they probably won't talk to each other the dog is their connection. When they share custody they have to see each other to bring the dog to the other and that could be the string that gets them talking again and eventually back together as a team (and hopefully as a couple later). What do u guys think?

So I was trying to explain the awesomeness of this sneak peek to my brother (he doesn't watch castle) and I told him that Caskett was sharing custody of a dog, and that it is just sooo cute! But before I could finish telling him about the hand holding thing, he asked me if Castle and Beckett were divorced! Its just funny that to an outsider, you'd think that Caskett was already in a relationship based on their behavior, because they act so much like a married couple!
Ditto to all of the above! I am embarrassed to say how many times I have watched that sneak peek---pausing it on the looks, etc. This show is absolutely intoxicating!! Stana and Nathan have amazing chemistry!! To be able to convey without a single word the shot of adrenalin that his touch gives her is pure gold!

HA! You are right. I had completely forgotten about that sneak peek, and what a tease it was. That is still one of my favorite castle scenes of all time. Here's to hoping that this scene doesn't end in as much disappointment.
I got the same feeling watching this sneak peek as I got watching the scene between the two of then in the L.A. hotel room! Does a shipper heart good!!!!!!
Love this clip, it's so sweet and that tension is crazy. But guys remember the LA hotel clip and how that turned out. I'm guessing it's going to be the same here. Sad but true. Hate to be the one to burst all the happiness but I'm sure you guys know it. It's still cute though, but I think the dog will bark and all will be forgotten, just like in LA...I'm pretty sure this will be the end of the scene, the promo is just making us want to know what happens next, but I think we all know what's going to happen next. It's too predictable. But I still think this is adorable and that dog is lovely.
IDK the fabulous Castle writers always do something to keep us on our toes, so I hope it doesn't end too predictably... I don't think that Kate will forget the way it felt when Castle touched her, it's always gonna be on her mind when she sees him now. I know that i'm not gonna forget the way it gave me butterflies after just watching it! (over, and over, and over...)
And the LA scene was kind of a let down, but it was significant because you could just see the disappointment on Kate's face when she saw that Rick had left the room. It was a big step for her, because it made her realize how much she wants him. Hopefully, this scene will bring us closer to a Caskett romance as well!
and even more importantly, in the hotel room scene kate breaks away first, in this scene even after they have made eye contact, no one budges which shows growth...that is until the dog barks or some other device of fate intervenes!
I'm a HUGE Castle lover and HUGE Nathan and Stana fan, so like you all, I just DIED with that clip. SO HOT. The look on Beckett's face IMO was pure lust. I find it amazing how Katic really did convey that and made me feel it with just a LOOK. aaahhhhhh amazing.
I love that moment they have there. It has sexual tension written all over it. I know that moment will be broken but the important thing to consider is how and who/which will break that moment. This will be important as a gauge at which point where Beckett or Castle is in this stage of this relationship. Wow!!! this going to be the most anticipated "how the moment was broken" part of this episode.

I love that thought- I was thinking as well that Beckett will spill her guts to the dog, because pets are great confidants ;) And Castle wants to spy on Kate, so while the dog was with him, he hid a bug on the dog's collar so that he hears everything!!

Oh my goodness. So cute. I love how they both take care of the dog. And, how Castle holds her hand. She just stares in awe at him, probably thinking to herself "Wow. He has incredibly soft hands. I cannot wait until I get to hold them in public. I can't wait to hold them on our wedding day, or to hold them when I give birth to our child". And, to those who were talking about Kate talking to the dog, and expressing her feelings. I like you. That idea is perfect for Castle to truly find out that she loves him.
I agree with some of you guys I think that she will talk to the dog about the way that she feels about castle. I don't think that he would hear coz then he would have to tell her otherwise it would mean that there were even more secrets and I don't think that will happen as there is already two big secrets. But I think it would be good to see if Beckett did speak to the dog about castle
The dog will pull on Mr. Sqeaky from Beckett's other hand. I want Castle to enclose her hand between both of his hands before that happens. That would be a great way not to end the scene too abruptly and provide comic relief for the two of them. That would also give Beckett reason to flash another "I'm so happy to be alive and in love" smile.

First off... tomorrow is MONDAY!!! Thank God. Second... I don't think Kate will talk to the dog about Rick. I honestly think that would be too much progression for her. I feel that the writers are saving the moment when she confesses her love for Castle... a big ta-dah scene us fans are all patiently (well some of us!) waiting for. I love her therapy scenes because we get to see her inner thoughts, so as much as I would like some cute doggy tell-all, I don't think we will get that much. BUT the hand rubbing is enough to keep me satisfied!!! I seriously have watched this clip a gazillion times, and I love coming to this site so I know i'm not alone in my obsession!!!

I think it was Andrew Marlow who said, in early season 4, that Beckett was going to see a shrink and she would have a confidant, seeing the picture of the dog sitting on the couch in front of Beckett, I can't help wondering, if the dog will not be the confidant and Beckett will confess to the dog how much she loves Castle, and she will tell to the dog that her relation with Castle is complicated.

What a sweet and unexpected moment at the end there, but going off my knowledge of previous sneak peeks and the patten the show takes, I'd bet they get interrupted. But. Going off that same pattern, usually the sneak peeks aren't the biggest moments of the episode, so maybe there's gonna be something better! ;D

I am officially writing this from beyond the grave because that clip KILLED me!!! First of all, that dog is absolutely adorable. I am in love with him. Second of all, I love the whole "good parent, strict parent" thing they have going on. You know they would absolutely be that way with an actual child. Third of all, the hand rubbing!!! ReplyDeleteStana and Nathan played that whole scene perfectly (or what we've seen so far of it). I love how Beckett so obviously goes weak in the knees at his touch. I can practically feel her heart pounding through the screen. It's so hot how Castle doesn't stop rubbing her hand even after they exchange that look. It's not that he's challenging her in a way that's aggressive or makes her uncomfortable. He's definitely testing the waters and seeing how far she will let him go. God, that look he gives her as he continues to stroke her hand is just...just...aaahhhhhh!!! There are no words!
Of course, they're gonna get interrupted. Someone above said maybe the dog interrupts them. I can see that happening. Though the interruption is to be expected, I just hope it's not one of them that pulls away or ends the moment. Beckett is notorious for being the one to break away but I hope the Beckett we see in this scene is the Beckett who challenged Castle back in Knockout: "And what about you, Rick?" Not that I expect or want her to suddenly be aggressive, but I don't want her to run away from this, either!

Totally agree with you, Elena. He realized qhat he was doing, and, surprised that she didn't freak out or smacked his had, decided to go on and find out how far he could go without making her run away. She's a different Beckett since Kill Shot.
DeleteAnon 11:19, she is definitely quite different since Kill Shot! She's turned a corner, for sure. Her decision to let go of her mom's murder has definitely lifted a burden from her shoulders. She was quite serious in 'Dial M' bc that was just a very serious episode...very little room for humor. However, in "Til Death," Beckett was so light and almost giddy. The way she looked at him, smiling that smile she reserves for him...sigh...that's the look of someone completely besotted...that's the look she's giving him in this scene.

ReplyDeleteEver since I've heard they will share custody for a cute dog I was wondering why would AM bring a dog into the game. Obviously the dog is an adorable add to them and obviously he has magic powers (handholding!!!). But the dog got me thinking. I could be wrong but maybe the dog is more for later situations. I think when the secrets come out and they will have a huge fight and they probably won't talk to each other the dog is their connection. When they share custody they have to see each other to bring the dog to the other and that could be the string that gets them talking again and eventually back together as a team (and hopefully as a couple later). What do u guys think?

ReplyDeleteSo I was trying to explain the awesomeness of this sneak peek to my brother (he doesn't watch castle) and I told him that Caskett was sharing custody of a dog, and that it is just sooo cute! But before I could finish telling him about the hand holding thing, he asked me if Castle and Beckett were divorced! Its just funny that to an outsider, you'd think that Caskett was already in a relationship based on their behavior, because they act so much like a married couple!

DeleteLove this clip, it's so sweet and that tension is crazy. But guys remember the LA hotel clip and how that turned out. I'm guessing it's going to be the same here. Sad but true. Hate to be the one to burst all the happiness but I'm sure you guys know it. It's still cute though, but I think the dog will bark and all will be forgotten, just like in LA...I'm pretty sure this will be the end of the scene, the promo is just making us want to know what happens next, but I think we all know what's going to happen next. It's too predictable. But I still think this is adorable and that dog is lovely.

I don't think that Kate will forget the way it felt when Castle touched her, it's always gonna be on her mind when she sees him now. I know that i'm not gonna forget the way it gave me butterflies after just watching it! (over, and over, and over...)
DeleteAnd the LA scene was kind of a let down, but it was significant because you could just see the disappointment on Kate's face when she saw that Rick had left the room. It was a big step for her, because it made her realize how much she wants him. Hopefully, this scene will bring us closer to a Caskett romance as well!
and even more importantly, in the hotel room scene kate breaks away first, in this scene even after they have made eye contact, no one budges which shows growth...that is until the dog barks or some other device of fate intervenes!

I love that moment they have there. It has sexual tension written all over it. I know that moment will be broken but the important thing to consider is how and who/which will break that moment. This will be important as a gauge at which point where Beckett or Castle is in this stage of this relationship. Wow!!! this going to be the most anticipated "how the moment was broken" part of this episode.

I don't think that he would hear coz then he would have to tell her otherwise it would mean that there were even more secrets and I don't think that will happen as there is already two big secrets. But I think it would be good to see if Beckett did speak to the dog about castle

That would be a great way not to end the scene too abruptly and provide comic relief for the two of them. That would also give Beckett reason to flash another "I'm so happy to be alive and in love" smile.

my take *fingers crossed* is that after he leaves she sits on the couch, looks at her hand and smiles. then the dog jumps up and she says something like yeah i love him so much *dreams;)* and then the dog licks her. cutte right!! ;P
wouldnt it be AH-MAY-ZING if they lean in for a KISS and then the dog barks!!!! *not going to happen*
oh and i also thought that maybe, given the obvious reaction Beckett gave Castle, just before he leaves her hand is resting on the kitchen table and he says ill see you tomorrow and touches her fingers :) *sigh*

Just incase this hasn't already been said... Fanfic-brought-to-life, anyone? Haha, I admit that I "squeed" like a little fangirl at this :) ...and am now restraining myself from watching any more sneek-peeks of this epi so I don't go crazy with speculation between now and Tuesday (have to watch online since I'm in the UK). *Sigh*, can't wait! :)

DeleteI love this clip, but I hate that this moment will be interrupted and will be forgotten. That's exactly what happened in LA...abc showing these clips to excite us, which of course we are, but then again it also makes the scene so predictable, because we know nothing is actually going to happen. My guess is that dog will bark or come and pull on mr. Squeaky...

ReplyDeleteSecond... I don't think Kate will talk to the dog about Rick. I honestly think that would be too much progression for her. I feel that the writers are saving the moment when she confesses her love for Castle... a big ta-dah scene us fans are all patiently (well some of us!) waiting for.
I love her therapy scenes because we get to see her inner thoughts, so as much as I would like some cute doggy tell-all, I don't think we will get that much. BUT the hand rubbing is enough to keep me satisfied!!!
I seriously have watched this clip a gazillion times, and I love coming to this site so I know i'm not alone in my obsession!!!
It is officially Monday!!!!!! AHHHHHH!! I can't wait!. I am counting down the hours!
