  1. Beckett you know better than to enter a hotel room in a building that is under construction ALONE!!

I think we can expect a bit of danger here...

  2. Thank goodness the quote, "The minute you move on him, I'm gone," seems like it's split up into different sentences from the sounds of it.. or else I would be really nervous about this episode.

  5. My theory on this ep is the Mayor wont be found guilty. Too many implications if he is. Who is going to want to believe the Mayor of NYC is a murderer? Beckett will be forced to follow the evidence where it leads proving to Gates that her relationship with Castle will not compromise her work. This will give brownie points for Castle to stay at the 12th even if the Mayor is found guilty. Beckett however will be torn given what is at stake. This will cause some friction between the two of them, however will hopefully be resolved by the end of the episode. Castle will remain at the 12th regardless. AM has said enough times he wont make drastic changes to the show. Castle working out of his loft from now on on the sly would be a drastic change :)

One thing that could open up a tin of worms is if Beckett finds the Mayor is innocent, but, is linked in to her mothers murder somehow. Now that would make this story different to Final Nail I think it was with Castle's Mentor/friend. Especially given Castle has known the Mayor for 12 years as he says in the promo. Would be a good and bad twist. It would more then likely delay Caskett even further, unless Castle blows a fuse and completely takes Becketts side in things. Could also get us closer to the secret reveals as well. After all we don't really know when they will happen all we know is before the end of the season.

I'd imagine something like this would get Kate fired up even though she is trying to let go of her mothers murder. Castle would then be forced to tell her what he knows or out and out block her from investigating leading to the same conclusion as Beckett would catch on. Even if I am totally wrong I hope AM has something different in store for this ep. Oh well we shall know in 1 week :)

  7. I'm looking forward to it. AM said that Beckett would be torn between doing her duty and not wanting to lose Castle, which is what would happen if the Mayor was implicated.
I think we all know that Castle and Beckett will continue to work together but how it all sorts itself out will have me watching :)

  9. Totally agree with you, anon 12:30! Very well thought out.

Even though Castle obviously gets to stay (it wouldn't be the same show if he didn't), this one looks like it'll be pretty intense. A lot of potential for character growth on every side - GATES, Castle, the gang, heck even Martha and Alexis.

I expect Alexis in particular will holding her breath over the outcome, since she's the one who's been so concerned with her dad's safety in the field. What her feelings on the matter would be exactly, I don't know. At first she'd probably just want him to walk away. But maybe afterwards I'm sure she'll make her peace with the conclusion.

I'm also super excited to watch Beckett's inevitable struggle over the case - naturally she'll be torn between Castle and her job. Castle gets kicked off in the promo (not surprising), but I have to wonder if Kate might have to step back, as well? That would be an interesting turn of events.

I doubt that will happen, since it would be weird and pointless to have some other random detective out solving the case, but it's a thought.

  10. Sigh...why do I get the feeling this will be yet ANOTHER episode where Beckett doesn't trust Castle's intuition, continually claims he isn't objective/not thinking like a cop and in the end it is proven that she was falling for false evidence.

And why do I get the feeling no one will call her out on treating Castle like this yet expecting she can do the same thing (like investigating her own shooting/bombing of her apartment, etc)?

Not looking forward to this episode at all...more and more Beckett is give a double standard (IE she can choose not to call Castle for 3 months and then guilt him into forgiving her, yet when Castle did the same thing not a year ago, she got the entire force glaring at him and made HIM apologize) and I am getting sick of it.

  11. I'm looking forword to the show. But then again I say that about every one of their shows :)

I've been watching Castle since the pilot and haven't seen a single one that I didn't think was fantastic.

Great cast + great crew + great writers = Great show.

And I have to say that I really love this season for two reasons, though I could probably think of a few more.
One is that neither one of them is seeing anyone else. It's just the two of them now and according to AM it's going to stay that way.
Second, they've been throwing a lot more layers onto the Beckett onion and Stana Katic has been nailing them all. Someone has got to recognize what outstanding work she's been doing and give her an award already!!
