Finally after weeks of waiting we get a tiny little glimpse of what the episode is gonna be like. Just from the sneak peeks it looks like it will be a fun episode they never give enough away in the sneak peeks lol only a few more days left though then we finally get a new episode. Love the look on Becketts face when castle tells her who his date is she looks kinda relieved that it's not another woman. You gotta love espo though hope him and laine do get back together at some point Neva really got to c any of there relationship.

I hate to say this, but Im not feeling this episode much. I dont know, maybe the sneak peeks havent peeked my interest. Maybe I shouldnt have watched the sneak peeks, now I know the main parts and its not that interesting. I think from a case perspective, its going to be a light one, like pretty dead, and from a relationship point, well esposito and lanie will be cute to watch, but castle and beckett, i dont know, he is going with alexis who isnt really a fan of beckett, and beckett will be alone, or maybe some guy dances with her...kind of stale for me.

Awww, I was so sure Castle and Beckett would just go together since their partners. I havent read other blog entries, so this is my first with regards to this episode. I honestly thought they would go together. Hhhmmm was it naive of me to think that? I mean arent they at a point in their relationship where this would not sound crazy at all. Its just a friends wedding.
Ok this is my fault, I set myself up for dissapointment, and now im sulking. It doesnt make sence, they went to Kyras wedding togteher, when they werent that close then and certainly didnt have the feelings they have now. So why cant they go together now. Castle didnt take Alexis to that when Becektt wasnt even a personal friend of Kyra. But now when Ryan is Becektts friend and team member, he doesnt think to ask Beckett,he takes alexis. Wheres the logic? Im sorry Im having a hard time wrapping my head aroud this.
Beckett may of made a point of saying she was going alone to reaffirm she was serious about what she said in the park in Rise. She is not going to bother with meaningless dates until she can date the man she really wants to be with? Anyone considered this possibility? The fact that Castle is going with his daughter given he could have his pick of dates and in seasons past he would of brought some arm candy says a lot as well. Well I think so!
Castle hasn't asked Beckett because he doesn't know where he stands with her still. Yes, she's been more flirty than usual lately. But Castle has grown up a lot this season and he respects Beckett's need for time and space. He loves her and I think he knows she loves him...but he loves her enough to put the ball in her court for now. I think Beckett loves him even more for it, too.
The look of sheer horror on Beckett's face as Castle described his "date" is priceless. I love that she doesn't even try to pretend that she doesn't care. She is straight up horrified at the thought of him bringing someone else to the wedding. Notice the smile of pure relief on her face when he says his date is Alexis. Again, not even trying to play it cool...it might not be making out or even holding hands but Beckett being more expressive with her feelings for Castle smells a lot like progress to me.
I don't know how much of the actual reception the episode will feature...according to Seamus Dever's interview with Give Me My Remote, a lot of the episode focuses on the build-up to the actual wedding. Still, I'm sure we will get to see everyone all dressed up...ESPECIALLY the lovely Kate Beckett...and see how all the relationship stuff (Lanie and Espo included) plays out. I can't imagine Marlowe and Co will let this golden opportunity for some Caskett slow dancing and close bodily contact pass by without taking advantage of it.
Anon 5:32, you should try reading some of the other articles before jumping to conclusions. In Seamus' interview, he talks about Alexis getting a better offer so Castle and Beckett may go together after all.
Am I the only one who thinks that Castle not going with Beckett is a good thing. Im happy becasue honestly I think their chemistry is lacking now, and maybe seeing Beckett with someone else, or dancing with someone else may put some fuel in castle again. I know he is suppose to be giving her space, but i dont see much longing on his part, i only see hers. I was actually hoping Beckett would go with Tom demming given that it could be a possibility he is invited as he is a cop. Dregde up some old issues with Castle and then maybe, just maybe he will decide to flirt with her a little. I miss that. Just my 2 cents.
Elena, I think Seamus said that there is some meanigful glances and thats that. Hate to burst your bubble but I dont think they dance. I was upset too when I first read that article, as it would have beena perfect opportunity but Ive made my peace now...
I hope the episode is better than the sneak peeks. They werent that intertesting or enticing at all. But I have faith in AM, he should give us a good episode even if theres no caskett moments there.
At anon 6.09, isnt that worse. Beckett shouldt be a back up. Now I really hope she goes alone. Besides I love that Becektt was so at ease about going alone, she doesnt need to bring a man to fit in. They shouldnt be each others back up, they should be their first choice, and since neither had the guts to ask, then they should just go alone.

I loved esposito's reaction to Lanie bringing a plus 1. I felt so bad for the guy. Oh, and his look at beckett after she said she would dance with him. It was so, thanks but dancing with my sister is not what I had in mind.
I thought Beckett was furious and shocked that castle was bringing someone else to the wedding. To me, becketts relief that it was Alexis was very obvious.
I liked that Alexis and Martha were back in this episode. I think the scenes with them and castle are good. Kind of allows castle to work through issues going on in the case but in a more innocent way. Plus his interactions with them are always amusing.
At anon 6.57, I know what you mean. Of course I dont want beckett going with another man,But I have to admit at times, I feel like maybe she should be with someone else, its just getting a little painful to watch her be sad like when he kissed serena and how she told serena that he trusted her. Its time for beckett to be happy, we never see her really happy. And yes, Castle isnt pushing and we know why but it would be nice to see him show her some interest, at least now when it counts. He showed so much interest in seasons 1 and 2 and she wasnt even interested then so it didnt count, now she is giving signals that she is interested and it will coutn and he is holding back. I guess his character is too complexed for me to understand.
Someone said something about Alexis getting another offer as a date. Well I sure hope that doesnt mean castle and beckett go together. I would rather they went alone than be each others back up, which makes them so insignificant to each other. If they wanted to go together, one of them would have made the effort and asked, but castle seems happy taking alexis, and beckett seems happy going alone, and she wasnt really upset that castle had date, so i dont see the problem. I was a shipper, but not so much now. These two can be frustrating and not in a good way. @Anonymous 6:57 I was thinking the same thing about the swing set scene! Castle respects and loves her too much to push. He gets that she needs time and space and to do this on her terms. That scene set the tone for this season and how Castle is going about things with Beckett. It makes perfect sense that he wouldn't ask her to the wedding...plus, wouldn't going to Ryan's wedding be a very public, pressure-filled date? I can't see Kate Beckett being down with that...at all.
@Anonymous 6:31 I know Seamus said that in a previous interview. The interview I'm talking about just came out today. He doesn't mention a dance (but he's also not asked about specifics). He does say that "weddings are one of those things where everyone has to start to deal with their feelings and evaluate their relationships." So, yeah, there will definitely be those meaningful, shy yet knowing glances between Castle and Beckett...those looks that say, "Yeah, that'll be us one day." Now, no one's mentioned a dance but Seamus is really the only one who's said much of anything about this episode. Everyone else has been really quiet...which could mean nothing...but it could also mean everything.
At any rate, dance or no dance, I feel like Castle and Beckett are at the cusp of taking things to the next level. It's been a long and bumpy road so far but progress is being made, you guys! Don't lose faith in Andrew Marlowe. He's a big 'shipper, too. He's just trying to do it right and play the story out in a way that's true to who Beckett and Castle are.
At anon 6.40, yeah Alexis is mixing it up. But i think perfect alexis will make her appearance and still go with her dad. Though I cant understand why alexis would want to go to wedding of people she doesnt actually really know, and the only person she knows would be beckett, who she is not a fan off.
Ok I think Alexis will still go with her dad too. Heres why, she is very protective of him and castle is the kind of guy that is porbably not comfortable going to these things without a date. He has always had a date, even if its his daughter. Beckett on the other hand is so comfortable going alone, which as a woman I think is so cool. Just shows she is strong and sensible and doesnt feel the need to have a guy be her date just for the sake of being a date. We all know that Castle is the shallow chraracter between the both of them, so he needs a date, and Alexis being the person she is, will not leave him when he needs her.
I cant wiat for this episode, I expect Esplanie to be funny and ryan too. However, Caskett is confusing so I dont know what to expect. We will hav to wait and see.

I disagree with the person who said Beckett's been unhappy and is blaming that on Castle. Beckett's the one who told him she needed some time and space to resolves her issues. How can anyone blame Castle for doing what the woman he loves and that wants to love him free of barriers asked of him?
AM is weaving an amazing story and attraction and chemistry is just as much about the small things than the big things.
So he doesn't flirt with her as much now? So what. They still have a strong emotional bond when it counts. They're past that stage because they both know it's going to happen one day. They're just trying to work out their issues in order to get there.
People need patience. Just because YOU don't have it doesn't mean Caskett have lost their chemistry. I still see it in spades and thensome.
I'm really enjoying this season and the progression we're getting.
Sometimes the best things in life are worth waiting for. And I can't wait until Castle and Beckett finally get together. They are so worth the wait.
AM has yet to disappoint me. However, I admit some in the Castle fanbase continues to do so the more I read these comments before an episode airs.
None of us are psychics and it seems AM can't win for losing with some.
Even if Castle and Beckett go to the wedding together some aren't satisfied with that. There's always something wrong with how the show is progressing and that's disheartening to read from people who are supposed to be fans.
I don't always enjoy everything. I have issues with Esplainie's relationship, but i'm going to let it play out before I rip AM a new one.
I'm not going to drag him or the show over the coals because of it

I think this show is incredible whether or not Caskett are a couple. I don't expect anything huge to happen until the end of the season and going into season 5.
In the meantime, the dance between Caskett may be slow, but it's a beautiful one.
Castle may not know exactly wherw he stands with Beckett, but he's standing by her and his presence is awakening new territory for Kate and she's opening up more and more.
It's only a matter of time before we start to see Castle respond to it. We still have 13 episodes left for things to happen. This is a tv show on a major network with 22plus episodes a season. Not some after school special where the entire plot has to take place within 2 hours.
AM knows what he's doing. I trust him to entertain me and he does an excellent job at it. Caskett does NOT have to be "official" for me to enjoy their relationship.
I seriously don't get those fans who base their entire entertainment of the show on the status of their relationship. It can't be fun especially since I know they're not going to be together anytime soon.
I'm not going to waste my energy complaining about it when they do so much together as is and are already a couple in a way. All that's missing is the physical aspect of it. I want more in a relationship than just sex.
@Anonymous 7:22 You know, I don't think it's that Alexis doesn't care for Beckett as a person. In the past, she's shown that she admires Beckett quite a bit. I think since the shooting and bank robbery, she just sees that her dad follows Beckett into danger...and for that she resents Beckett. On the other hand, she knows that Beckett makes Castle happy and that, for now, it's enough for her dad just to be around her...and she's said herself that she is okay with that. It would be nice to see them have a real heart to heart about things, actually.
I hope this episode lives up to the hype. So many people are soooo excited about it. Im on the fence, as I dont want to have expectations. Of course caskett moments would be great but so far we havent heard of anyhting of the sort, so maybe this is centered mainly on ryans relatinship.
I agree with anon 7.50, their relationship doesnt have to be official...YET, but I still look forward to the teasing and flirting which i agree with someone else, is lacking. I love them and the show, but I wish they moved from a slow dance to slightly uptempo rythm.
@Anonymous 7:50 Well said!!! Very well said! He has definitely toned down the flirting this season because he knows that's what she needs right now. They're definitely on another level at this point. He doesn't need to do all that persistent innuendo and flirting stuff anymore because they both know it's no longer a matter of IF they get together but WHEN. There's a sense of confidence in their relationship and love for one another now that there wasn't prior to this season. Sometimes the greatest signs of progress lie in the smallest and most subtle details.

Trust in Andrew Marlowe, guys! He has shown how much he cares about his fans and these characters he's created. He has yet to jerk us around or give us false hope...and I just don't think he ever will. Everyone is, of course, entitled to their opinions and frustrations. This is just my take on things. :)

I can't wait for this episode, I know it isn't a shipper episode, but I do hope we see some good stuff between caskett. I know lots of people say they won't dance, and they are probably right, but it would be so amazing if they did. They have danced 2 times before, once in season 1 and once in season 3, but BOTH were undercover. I think this would be great opportunity for them to have a real dance given the situation. Why would AM not have them dance. I just hope I'm not disappointed.

AM said no 3rd parties and it doesn't make sense for them to end up with someone else. 2nd I'm tired of people saying becketts selfish its her fault it's castles his fault. U wanna know why they arent dating and making out yet, because they r trying to get rid of their problems so they can be in a true relationship, so I'm srry but we have to wait cause it will be worth it. And if I may offer advice, try not to take it personally when people express they're lowering their expectations for the show. Some of my favorite books/movies are ones that I was dragged into by someone else who was excited. 9 times out of 10, when we walked out, I loved the movie and the person who had been giddy to see it was underwhelmed.
So 3 cheers for lowered expectations! (Hip-hip-hooray!) Without them I wouldn't like many-a-movie. Or Castle, actually. The promos for this show before the Pilot were so bad that I actually tuned in for the sole purpose of predicting how long it would run before it bombed. So... in a way, ABC did them a favor with their lame campaign. They lowered expectations and made people like me sit up and go, "Hey! This show needs to stay! No dumping it," and watch it religiously afterward.
Well the interview with Seamus Dever said that Alexis ends up getting a better offer. I don't think that Castle will ask Kate after that, it just wouldn't be like them and their relationship. Instead, I think they will both go by themselves. But two people in love who are both going to the same wedding without dates? I am hoping for some Caskett! ;) Even if it's only minor. A dance would be AMAZING and probably make my whole year, but I am perfectly happy with whatever they give us. Sometimes the little things, like a shared look or smile, really are the most meaningful. I, for one, love seeing these little aspects of their relationship's progression. And not to mention, just the fact that they are both going to a wedding without dates speaks to the idea that they are not about to start any relationships with anyone else. They're not dating or anything, but they're still being loyal to eachother. And that's good enough for me :) I can totally deal with the not being together yet, and the tension. In fact, I rather enjoy it. The part I really don't like is seeing them with others, but so far it looks to me like there won't be any more of that! They have both pretty much promised it to eachother: Castle with his I love you, and Beckett when she talked to him on the Swing set in Rise. I just love this show so much! Is it weird that Im more interested in the wedding than the case for this episode? I just want to see espo and lanie being funny, ryan and jenny being romantic, and castle and beckett, well being castle and beckett, theres no real word for them is there. They just do their thing and I love it.
Have to agree with the Above comment Im more interested in the wedding then the actual murder I think that the build up to it looks like its gonna fun yer the actual murder will be alrite as well and interesting but I'm looking forward to seeing bit of banter and fun between the team. Hopefully we will get a decent amount of that lol.
The clips were funny, I'm looking forward to it. Assuming the Jenny connection is that Beckett and Espo find Jenny's name/number in the vic's sizable little black book. Completely ok with Beckett and Castle going stag (or with daughter). That just means they don't feel the need to fill that space with some meaningless date. You can't tell me B&C won't be sitting right next to one another...a shy, yet knowing look, a smile, a not-exactly accidental touch. Romance, folks. The slow burn. The promise of very good things to come.

IMAGINE IT WAS YOU IN C & B POSITION IN REAL LIFE - HOW WOULD YOU ACT????.... you would probably be too shy ant terrified to ask (youd be scared of what the other might think or hight say) and specially if you dont know how the other feels.
Be patient theyre exploring the territory and they re learning how to move around in it.
Eventually they will come together but theyre taking it in real life tempo - i remember how scared i was to do st or ask my (now) boyfriend because i was so scared of what would he think or say or what the others might.
And even if they come alone on the wedding or Castle with Alexis they will probably end up together during the ceremony - just look a few posts back where is a photo of Ryan and in the back are Castle and Beckett standing next to each other.
Johanna becket was murdered on January ninth 1999 , Ryan's wedding is on the anniversary of her death. Do you think we will get a reference of it during the episode?

I don't get why would people scream at Castle to "man up" and "ask Beckett out already" like it's gonna solve all their problems immediately? Hasn't he been doing exactly that for the first 2 seasons, then watching with puppy dog eyes her being "happy" with Josh (for all he knew she was happy and in love, she never shown him anything to believe otherwise), then trying to protect her life, proclaiming his love, getting blamed by Josh and Beckett for Monty's death/her near death and not being contacted by said love of his life for 3 months, not knowing how (and with whom) she is recovering from a nearly fatal wound? While all this time Beckett pretends to not remember his declaration (getting an unfait advantage by the way), makes a vague promiss to "think about starting some vague relationship with a vague somebody right after solving some huge conspiracy of the century", "hang around, buddy and be my little partner". I say the guy has his reasons to be "a little" hesitant, don't you think? I reread and saw that this might look as if I don't like Beckett and/or blame her for everything, hehe. It's not the case, I assure you. But I think Beckett IS written and played as damaged and unfair to Castle. And Castle IS written and played as realising at least half of that and still loving her. The trick is to overcome these obstacles, built by characters themselves, not "accuse" or "blame" anybody for things not working out splendidly. It wouldn't be realistic if Castle was his usual "heart on his sleeve" self with Beckett now, after all that happened. In fact, I would've lost all respect for the character in this case. He's coming off pretty much loser-ish as it is right now. Let him keep SOME dignity, guys :)

I hate to say this, but Im not feeling this episode much. I dont know, maybe the sneak peeks havent peeked my interest. Maybe I shouldnt have watched the sneak peeks, now I know the main parts and its not that interesting. I think from a case perspective, its going to be a light one, like pretty dead, and from a relationship point, well esposito and lanie will be cute to watch, but castle and beckett, i dont know, he is going with alexis who isnt really a fan of beckett, and beckett will be alone, or maybe some guy dances with her...kind of stale for me.

Awww, I was so sure Castle and Beckett would just go together since their partners. I havent read other blog entries, so this is my first with regards to this episode. I honestly thought they would go together. Hhhmmm was it naive of me to think that? I mean arent they at a point in their relationship where this would not sound crazy at all. Its just a friends wedding.

It doesnt make sence, they went to Kyras wedding togteher, when they werent that close then and certainly didnt have the feelings they have now. So why cant they go together now. Castle didnt take Alexis to that when Becektt wasnt even a personal friend of Kyra. But now when Ryan is Becektts friend and team member, he doesnt think to ask Beckett,he takes alexis. Wheres the logic? Im sorry Im having a hard time wrapping my head aroud this.

I don't get the logic in people always assuming the worst.
Beckett may of made a point of saying she was going alone to reaffirm she was serious about what she said in the park in Rise. She is not going to bother with meaningless dates until she can date the man she really wants to be with? Anyone considered this possibility? The fact that Castle is going with his daughter given he could have his pick of dates and in seasons past he would of brought some arm candy says a lot as well. Well I think so!
ReplyDeleteCastle hasn't asked Beckett because he doesn't know where he stands with her still. Yes, she's been more flirty than usual lately. But Castle has grown up a lot this season and he respects Beckett's need for time and space. He loves her and I think he knows she loves him...but he loves her enough to put the ball in her court for now. I think Beckett loves him even more for it, too.
ReplyDeleteThe look of sheer horror on Beckett's face as Castle described his "date" is priceless. I love that she doesn't even try to pretend that she doesn't care. She is straight up horrified at the thought of him bringing someone else to the wedding. Notice the smile of pure relief on her face when he says his date is Alexis. Again, not even trying to play it cool...it might not be making out or even holding hands but Beckett being more expressive with her feelings for Castle smells a lot like progress to me.
I don't know how much of the actual reception the episode will feature...according to Seamus Dever's interview with Give Me My Remote, a lot of the episode focuses on the build-up to the actual wedding. Still, I'm sure we will get to see everyone all dressed up...ESPECIALLY the lovely Kate Beckett...and see how all the relationship stuff (Lanie and Espo included) plays out. I can't imagine Marlowe and Co will let this golden opportunity for some Caskett slow dancing and close bodily contact pass by without taking advantage of it.

Im happy becasue honestly I think their chemistry is lacking now, and maybe seeing Beckett with someone else, or dancing with someone else may put some fuel in castle again. I know he is suppose to be giving her space, but i dont see much longing on his part, i only see hers. I was actually hoping Beckett would go with Tom demming given that it could be a possibility he is invited as he is a cop. Dregde up some old issues with Castle and then maybe, just maybe he will decide to flirt with her a little. I miss that. Just my 2 cents.

At anon 6.09, isnt that worse. Beckett shouldt be a back up. Now I really hope she goes alone. Besides I love that Becektt was so at ease about going alone, she doesnt need to bring a man to fit in. They shouldnt be each others back up, they should be their first choice, and since neither had the guts to ask, then they should just go alone.

I loved esposito's reaction to Lanie bringing a plus 1. I felt so bad for the guy. Oh, and his look at beckett after she said she would dance with him. It was so, thanks but dancing with my sister is not what I had in mind.
ReplyDeleteI thought Beckett was furious and shocked that castle was bringing someone else to the wedding. To me, becketts relief that it was Alexis was very obvious.
I liked that Alexis and Martha were back in this episode. I think the scenes with them and castle are good. Kind of allows castle to work through issues going on in the case but in a more innocent way. Plus his interactions with them are always amusing.
It's as if some fans missed Rise and the swing set scene to figure out why Castle's not pushing Beckett...

At anon 6.57, I know what you mean. Of course I dont want beckett going with another man,But I have to admit at times, I feel like maybe she should be with someone else, its just getting a little painful to watch her be sad like when he kissed serena and how she told serena that he trusted her. Its time for beckett to be happy, we never see her really happy. And yes, Castle isnt pushing and we know why but it would be nice to see him show her some interest, at least now when it counts. He showed so much interest in seasons 1 and 2 and she wasnt even interested then so it didnt count, now she is giving signals that she is interested and it will coutn and he is holding back. I guess his character is too complexed for me to understand.

I was a shipper, but not so much now. These two can be frustrating and not in a good way. That scene set the tone for this season and how Castle is going about things with Beckett. It makes perfect sense that he wouldn't ask her to the wedding...plus, wouldn't going to Ryan's wedding be a very public, pressure-filled date? I can't see Kate Beckett being down with that...at all.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous 6:31 I know Seamus said that in a previous interview. The interview I'm talking about just came out today. He doesn't mention a dance (but he's also not asked about specifics). He does say that "weddings are one of those things where everyone has to start to deal with their feelings and evaluate their relationships." So, yeah, there will definitely be those meaningful, shy yet knowing glances between Castle and Beckett...those looks that say, "Yeah, that'll be us one day." Now, no one's mentioned a dance but Seamus is really the only one who's said much of anything about this episode. Everyone else has been really quiet...which could mean nothing...but it could also mean everything.
At any rate, dance or no dance, I feel like Castle and Beckett are at the cusp of taking things to the next level. It's been a long and bumpy road so far but progress is being made, you guys! Don't lose faith in Andrew Marlowe. He's a big 'shipper, too. He's just trying to do it right and play the story out in a way that's true to who Beckett and Castle are.

At anon 6.40, yeah Alexis is mixing it up. But i think perfect alexis will make her appearance and still go with her dad. Though I cant understand why alexis would want to go to wedding of people she doesnt actually really know, and the only person she knows would be beckett, who she is not a fan off.

Heres why, she is very protective of him and castle is the kind of guy that is porbably not comfortable going to these things without a date. He has always had a date, even if its his daughter. Beckett on the other hand is so comfortable going alone, which as a woman I think is so cool. Just shows she is strong and sensible and doesnt feel the need to have a guy be her date just for the sake of being a date. We all know that Castle is the shallow chraracter between the both of them, so he needs a date, and Alexis being the person she is, will not leave him when he needs her.

ReplyDeleteI disagree with the person who said Beckett's been unhappy and is blaming that on Castle. Beckett's the one who told him she needed some time and space to resolves her issues. How can anyone blame Castle for doing what the woman he loves and that wants to love him free of barriers asked of him?
AM is weaving an amazing story and attraction and chemistry is just as much about the small things than the big things.
So he doesn't flirt with her as much now? So what. They still have a strong emotional bond when it counts. They're past that stage because they both know it's going to happen one day. They're just trying to work out their issues in order to get there.
People need patience. Just because YOU don't have it doesn't mean Caskett have lost their chemistry. I still see it in spades and thensome.
I'm really enjoying this season and the progression we're getting.
Sometimes the best things in life are worth waiting for. And I can't wait until Castle and Beckett finally get together. They are so worth the wait.
AM has yet to disappoint me. However, I admit some in the Castle fanbase continues to do so the more I read these comments before an episode airs.
None of us are psychics and it seems AM can't win for losing with some.
Even if Castle and Beckett go to the wedding together some aren't satisfied with that. There's always something wrong with how the show is progressing and that's disheartening to read from people who are supposed to be fans.
I don't always enjoy everything. I have issues with Esplainie's relationship, but i'm going to let it play out before I rip AM a new one.
I'm not going to drag him or the show over the coals because of it
Oh, well.
I think this show is incredible whether or not Caskett are a couple. I don't expect anything huge to happen until the end of the season and going into season 5.
In the meantime, the dance between Caskett may be slow, but it's a beautiful one.
Castle may not know exactly wherw he stands with Beckett, but he's standing by her and his presence is awakening new territory for Kate and she's opening up more and more.
It's only a matter of time before we start to see Castle respond to it. We still have 13 episodes left for things to happen. This is a tv show on a major network with 22plus episodes a season. Not some after school special where the entire plot has to take place within 2 hours.
AM knows what he's doing. I trust him to entertain me and he does an excellent job at it. Caskett does NOT have to be "official" for me to enjoy their relationship.
I seriously don't get those fans who base their entire entertainment of the show on the status of their relationship. It can't be fun especially since I know they're not going to be together anytime soon.
I'm not going to waste my energy complaining about it when they do so much together as is and are already a couple in a way. All that's missing is the physical aspect of it. I want more in a relationship than just sex.
I'm glad that Caskett do as well.
@Anonymous 7:22 You know, I don't think it's that Alexis doesn't care for Beckett as a person. In the past, she's shown that she admires Beckett quite a bit. I think since the shooting and bank robbery, she just sees that her dad follows Beckett into danger...and for that she resents Beckett. On the other hand, she knows that Beckett makes Castle happy and that, for now, it's enough for her dad just to be around her...and she's said herself that she is okay with that. It would be nice to see them have a real heart to heart about things, actually.
ReplyDeleteI hope this episode lives up to the hype. So many people are soooo excited about it. Im on the fence, as I dont want to have expectations. Of course caskett moments would be great but so far we havent heard of anyhting of the sort, so maybe this is centered mainly on ryans relatinship.
ReplyDeleteI agree with anon 7.50, their relationship doesnt have to be official...YET, but I still look forward to the teasing and flirting which i agree with someone else, is lacking. I love them and the show, but I wish they moved from a slow dance to slightly uptempo rythm.
@Anonymous 7:50 Well said!!! Very well said! He has definitely toned down the flirting this season because he knows that's what she needs right now. They're definitely on another level at this point. He doesn't need to do all that persistent innuendo and flirting stuff anymore because they both know it's no longer a matter of IF they get together but WHEN. There's a sense of confidence in their relationship and love for one another now that there wasn't prior to this season. Sometimes the greatest signs of progress lie in the smallest and most subtle details.

Trust in Andrew Marlowe, guys! He has shown how much he cares about his fans and these characters he's created. I know lots of people say they won't dance, and they are probably right, but it would be so amazing if they did. They have danced 2 times before, once in season 1 and once in season 3, but BOTH were undercover. I think this would be great opportunity for them to have a real dance given the situation. Why would AM not have them dance. I just hope I'm not disappointed.

AM said no 3rd parties and it doesn't make sense for them to end up with someone else. 2nd I'm tired of people saying becketts selfish its her fault it's castles his fault. ReplyDeleteAnd if I may offer advice, try not to take it personally when people express they're lowering their expectations for the show. Some of my favorite books/movies are ones that I was dragged into by someone else who was excited. 9 times out of 10, when we walked out, I loved the movie and the person who had been giddy to see it was underwhelmed.
So 3 cheers for lowered expectations! (Hip-hip-hooray!) Without them I wouldn't like many-a-movie. Or Castle, actually. The promos for this show before the Pilot were so bad that I actually tuned in for the sole purpose of predicting how long it would run before it bombed. So... in a way, ABC did them a favor with their lame campaign. They lowered expectations and made people like me sit up and go, "Hey! This show needs to stay! No dumping it," and watch it religiously afterward.
Just sayin'.

Well the interview with Seamus Dever said that Alexis ends up getting a better offer. I don't think that Castle will ask Kate after that, it just wouldn't be like them and their relationship. Instead, I think they will both go by themselves. But two people in love who are both going to the same wedding without dates? I am hoping for some Caskett! ;) Even if it's only minor. A dance would be AMAZING and probably make my whole year, but I am perfectly happy with whatever they give us. Sometimes the little things, like a shared look or smile, really are the most meaningful. I, for one, love seeing these little aspects of their relationship's progression. And not to mention, just the fact that they are both going to a wedding without dates speaks to the idea that they are not about to start any relationships with anyone else. They're not dating or anything, but they're still being loyal to eachother. And that's good enough for me :) I can totally deal with the not being together yet, and the tension. In fact, I rather enjoy it. The part I really don't like is seeing them with others, but so far it looks to me like there won't be any more of that! They have both pretty much promised it to eachother: Castle with his I love you, and Beckett when she talked to him on the Swing set in Rise. I just love this show so much! Can't wait til Monday!!! :)

Ryan is such a cutie pie, so loving and sweet. Jenny looks so sweet. If this episode doesnt get castle and Beckett in the romancing mood, i dont know what will. I think this will probably be the most romantic and sweet episode on Castle given its Ryans wedding. So this better do some good for our leads.

Have to agree with the Above comment Im more interested in the wedding then the actual murder I think that the build up to it looks like its gonna fun yer the actual murder will be alrite as well and interesting but I'm looking forward to seeing bit of banter and fun between the team. Hopefully we will get a decent amount of that lol.

Completely ok with Beckett and Castle going stag (or with daughter). That just means they don't feel the need to fill that space with some meaningless date. You can't tell me B&C won't be sitting right next to one another...a shy, yet knowing look, a smile, a not-exactly accidental touch. Romance, folks. The slow burn. The promise of very good things to come.

Eventually they will come together but theyre taking it in real life tempo - i remember how scared i was to do st or ask my (now) boyfriend because i was so scared of what would he think or say or what the others might.
And even if they come alone on the wedding or Castle with Alexis they will probably end up together during the ceremony - just look a few posts back where is a photo of Ryan and in the back are Castle and Beckett standing next to each other.

I don't get why would people scream at Castle to "man up" and "ask Beckett out already" like it's gonna solve all their problems immediately? Hasn't he been doing exactly that for the first 2 seasons, then watching with puppy dog eyes her being "happy" with Josh (for all he knew she was happy and in love, she never shown him anything to believe otherwise), then trying to protect her life, proclaiming his love, getting blamed by Josh and Beckett for Monty's death/her near death and not being contacted by said love of his life for 3 months, not knowing how (and with whom) she is recovering from a nearly fatal wound? While all this time Beckett pretends to not remember his declaration (getting an unfait advantage by the way), makes a vague promiss to "think about starting some vague relationship with a vague somebody right after solving some huge conspiracy of the century", "hang around, buddy and be my little partner". I say the guy has his reasons to be "a little" hesitant, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteI reread and saw that this might look as if I don't like Beckett and/or blame her for everything, hehe. It's not the case, I assure you. But I think Beckett IS written and played as damaged and unfair to Castle. And Castle IS written and played as realising at least half of that and still loving her. The trick is to overcome these obstacles, built by characters themselves, not "accuse" or "blame" anybody for things not working out splendidly. It wouldn't be realistic if Castle was his usual "heart on his sleeve" self with Beckett now, after all that happened. In fact, I would've lost all respect for the character in this case. He's coming off pretty much loser-ish as it is right now. Let him keep SOME dignity, guys :)
