Castle scoop, Sandra? You know you want to! — Joanne
Don’t tell me what I want! Kidding. Actually, I’d prefer you did because, God knows I have no freaking clue. Anyway, if you followed word from Comic-Con, you already know about plans for a superhero-themed episode and a Halloween-themed episode. But executive producer Laurie Zaks told me preliminary plans to send the gang to the premiere of the Nikki Heat film in L.A.! (The show typically shoots its New York setting on a stage in L.A.) So does that mean Laura Prepon would reprise her role as the title character of the movie? Possibly, says Zaks. “That would totally depend on her schedule, and she got cast in a pilot. If you’ll remember, the character was sent off to rehab, so hopefully she’ll be out of rehab by then,” she said with a laugh.

TV Guide: What Happens When Castle Can't Be Castle?
In the Season 3 finale of ABC's Castle,
Castle's boss died (R.I.P., Captain Montgomery!), he told his partner
he loves her, and he almost put his own daughter in the line of fire.
This guy is in need of some serious discipline! Enter Captain Victoria
Gates (Penny Johnson Jerald), whose nickname, "Iron Gates," says it all. It seems that Castle (Nathan Fillion) is going to have a tough time being, well, Castle this season.

Collider.com Interviews the Cast of Castle
Earlier this week, we posted the recap of the Castle panel from this year’s Comic Con.
The cast was on hand to give us a sneak peek at Season 4 as well as
some insight as to the fallout from the season 3 finale. While our recap
had plenty of highlights and quotes from your favorite mystery writer
and homicide detectives, I was able to interview the cast and wheedle
out a few more secrets.
Other than the obvious repercussions from the cliffhanger ending of season 3, the new season of Castle also promises to have some fun. In addition to a bachelor party episode (you’ll have to read on to find out whose), there will be a special superhero episode early in the season and a Halloween episode of Castle that might even feature a certain ghost-busting guest start. Fans of the show will want to check out more of our insider info, so hit the jump.

Ask Ausiello & 4x02 Title Revealed
Question: Since Castle started back filming last Thursday, got any spoilers for Season 4? —Danielle
Ausiello: Look for Ryan and Esposito to get considerable more air time this season, something Jon Huertas confirmed to me at Comic-Con. One Ryan/Esposito-centric episode revolves around “a double date with Ryan/Jenny and Esposito/Lanie,” he revealed, “and things don’t go so well.”
Source: TVLine
And according to Terri Edda Miller's twitter, the title of 4x02 is "Heroes and Villains."

Castle @ Comic-Con: Season 4 Sneak Peek, Call for Ghostbusters, 'Who's the Daddy?' Mystery
Castle fans on hand for the ABC hit’s San Diego Comic-Con panel were treated to — wait for it — the first scene from the Season 4 premiere (airing Sept. 19)! It featured a bleeding Beckett being wheeled into a hospital, clinging to life thanks to the help of her best friend, Lanie.
“I’m very overwhelmed by looking at that scene,” Tamala Jones, who plays Lanie, told the Comic-Con crowd after the screening. “It was very emotional the whole day because my friend’s dying and I’m trying to help save her. I had to stay in the mindset of death all day long.” That said, she promises that the outcome “is really going to be more epic than the season finale” itself. OK, we are so there.

Mega Buzz: Who Will Be Seeing a Shrink?
Much as I'll miss Montgomery, I love the casting for Castle's new captain. Got any other spoilers? — Alex
ADAM: Penny Johnson Jerald's Capt. Gates may not be the only new face in the 12th Precinct. Look for at least one of our cops to spend some time with an NYPD shrink this season. Although a post-shooting Beckett makes the most logical sense, I'm personally rooting for someone to start digging around in Castle's colorful noggin.

Mega Buzz: More On The New Capitan
Any word on who will play the new captain on Castle? — Ellen
ADAM: I'm hearing the show auditioned several big-name actresses, but no one's signed on the dotted line yet. We shouldn't have to wait much longer, though: I'm told they'll introduce the new bosslady at Comic-Con in late July.
