Seamus Dever Talks About Upcoming Episodes
Mike Gencarelli: What can you tell us for the upcoming episodes?
Seamus Dever: We’re working on a two-parter right now. We did one last year that was pretty successful. We had Dana Delaney on last year, this year we have Adrian Pasdar. He started the other day. It’s about terrorism. It’s sort of a cool cliffhanger. And hopefully we’ll see more of the serial killer…the 3XK serial killer comes back. I know for sure we’re going to see more of Jenny this year. And of course we’ll see more of Esposito and Lanie. That relationship is fun. Every episode since then we’ve had a conversation about that, where my character is now trying to school Esposito in the ways of romance. There’s all of these possibilities…we talk about all kinds of things…Valentine’s Day, things like that. It’s really funny. And to be honest one of my favorite episodes that we’ve ever shot is coming up this week. It’s called “Knock Down.” It’s a continuation of Beckett’s mothers’ murder and getting back to that story. It’s a great episode, written by Will Beall, who’s one of our best writers. He’s the one who wrote “Sucker Punch” from last year. His dialogue is great and there’s always action and a lot of cool stuff we get to do. It’s going to be good stuff.

CASTLE Scoop: Third NIKKI HEAT Book on the Way
CASTLE fans, I just got off the phone with series creator Andrew Marlowe and in addition to tons of Castle-Beckett gossip I know you’re dying to hear (and I promise I’ll share that soon), he spilled a little treat that I couldn’t hold in: the third NIKKI HEAT book will debut in the fall!
So what’s the scoop on the newest novel?
“[Castle] is writing a book and we’re going to touch on that by the end of the season,” Marlowe teased. “His new book is called HEAT RISES and Richard Castle is actually hard at work on that and [it] will be available in the fall at a [real] bookstore near you.”
Good to hear that the movie adaptation of HEAT WAVE hasn’t taken Castle’s focus off writing, right? Those books are chock full of winks to the audience, something Marlowe knows fans enjoy.
“It’s really fun for our loyal fans because they can see all the moments the [books have] drawn from cases,” he said. “Castle has been following Beckett around and he’s been using that material. The feedback I’ve gotten from fans, is [the books] just delight them to say, ‘Oh, that’s from that episode! That’s when Castle saw Beckett do that!’ And we love them for [paying attention].”

Ask Ausiello: Double Date Disaster?
Question: Please, do you have any Castle scoops? —Christi
Ausiello: In an upcoming episode, newbie couple Esposito and Lanie will go on a double date with Ryan and Jenny — and to say the fellas’ better halves do not hit it off is putting it mildly.
Question: Any new Castle scoop? —Daniel
Ausiello: SUPER-SIZED SCOOP: Piter Marek is joining the cast for a two-episode arc! [Crickets] OK, maybe that’s more of a medium-sized scoop. Anywhoo, the actor — best known as Willie’s Season 4 blackmailer on Ugly Betty — will appear in the upcoming two-parter starring Heroes‘ Adrian Pasdar. His character is described as a “resourceful entrepreneur who strives to look as American as possible.”

TVLine Exclusive: 'Castle' Lathers Up With a Soap Star-Studded Murder Mystery
Quick, someone tell all my children to alert General Hospital, because ABC’s Castle is plotting a super-soapy wink-wink to Nathan Fillion’s daytime roots by slaying a daytime-TV scribe.
In an episode titled — wait for it — “One Life to Lose,” Beckett and Castle will delve into the murder of a soap opera scribe, TVLine has learned exclusively. As they work the case, watch for multiple stars from ABC’s own sudsers to make appearances (though probably not as themselves but fictional thespians).
What’s more, I am told that longtime fans of Fillion’s former daytime digs, One Life To Live, can expect at least one nod to his run as good boy Joey Buchanan.
Fillion has never shied away from his OLTL origins. In fact, he reprised his role of Joey for two episodes in 2007, and during his time on Castle has gone out of his way to court past/present daytime stars to guest-star. To date, those soapy stop-bys have included A Martinez (ex-Cruz, Santa Barbara), Sarah Joy Brown (Agnes, The Bold and the Beautiful), Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki, The Young and the Restless) and Rick Hearst (Whip, B&B).
Castle‘s Seamus Dever (who plays Kevin Ryan) also boasts daytime cred, having played General Hospital‘s Dr. Ian Devlin for a stretch in 2008.
Fillion also is always game to plant “Easter eggs” for viewers, such as when he hid a prop from his short-lived Firefly series in one of last season’s scenes.
Castle‘s soap star-studded mystery is tentatively set to air March 21.

EW Exclusive: 'Castle' Writers Andrew Marlowe and Will Beall dish on the big kiss and what's next
Three-and-a-half seasons of build up led to tonight’s heart-tugging episode of Castle, in which Beckett and her handsome devil of a partner sealed the deal in an alley — as part of a decoy. Well, at least it started off that way. As you’ll read in my interview with episode writer Will Beall (who recently signed on to pen the new Lethal Weapon movie) and creator/writer Andrew Marlowe, the repercussions of the pair’s long-awaited smooch will be just as real as that second kiss was. (Cheers here.) Read below for more on this highly anticipated episode (that I know you’re already re-watching) and sound off below.

Inside TV: Prepare to Fan Yourselves
It’s almost here, Castle fans (who have been begging me all week for dish on the show’s big Jan. 24th episode). Almost. Here. The smooch you’ve been waiting for. And I’m happy to say that the episode is completely worth the wait. But not so fast. Don’t start picking out china patterns for the pair just yet. While the kiss is, indeed, not a dream, you know that this is still Castle. This is still Beckett. And there’s still a very important case — the one of Beckett’s mom’s murder — being investigated. That’s all I can say. On that note, however, the kiss, in my opinion, isn’t even the best part of the episode. (You probably guessed that they wouldn’t put the best part of the episode in promos, right?) I’d say there are two better moments. The first comes before the smooch when Castle is talking with his mom about his most recent brush with death, and he admits to her (in his Nathan Fillion melt-me-into-goo voice) that his time with Beckett is “*** ****t *** ****s **y****.” And the other comes sometime after the roughly 13-second smooch. After the episode airs, be sure to check EW.com for my exclusive chat with Andrew Marlowe and Will Beall, who penned the episode.

Mega Buzz: Victor Webster Returns
I am so excited about the Castle kiss. Tell me it's not going to be a fake-out. —Leslie
ADAM: I don't think fake-out is necessarily the right word, but I wouldn't expect a happily ever after either. That's because I'm hearing that Victor Webster will return as Beckett's motorcycle-riding doctor boyfriend in both episodes of February's two-parter, the second of which dives deeper into their leather-clad affair.

Castle Exclusive First Look: Watch the Big Kiss!
Is this the year television’s most celebrated unrequited duos stop being polite and start coupling the hell up? Dr. Crankypants and Huddy on House are nearing the five-month mark (and they said it wouldn’t last); Booth and Brennan appear to be closer than ever to finally getting it on over at Bones; and on Castle, Nathan Fillion’s title sleuth is about to plant a wet one on his partner in crime Beckett. But as I teased in last week’s Ask Ausiello, there may be more to the Jan. 24 smooch than meets the eye. The good news? You don’t have to wait another 10 days to start compiling conspiracy theories. The video player below contains an exclusive first look at the duo’s big mouth-to-mouth moment. Go ahead and watch. You know you want to.

Gilles Marini Makes Magic on ‘Castle’
Gilles Marini plays everyone’s fantasy boyfriend, the sexy French artist Luc, on “Brothers & Sisters.” This Monday, he is taking a break from the Walker family angst to spend some time with the fun loving crime fighters on “Castle,” playing the role of a master magician. Marini revealed how he learned to do magic tricks, what he’s really drinking at Walker family dinners, and why he was worried about Luc becoming an underwear model.
Breaking News: ABC Renews Castle for Season 4

Castle Exclusive: Can Adrian Pasdar Play Hero?
When an elusive terrorist cell threatens to “send a message” to New York City, ABC’s Castle will call in for backup from the Department of Homeland Security. And heading up that effort will be Adrian Pasdar, TVLine has learned exclusively.
Heroes' flying man will swoop in for sweeps as Eric Fallon, an FBI agent tasked with trying to track down and neutralize the threat that has the NYPD at full alert.
Akin to Dana Delany‘s own March 2010 Castle arc as a visiting FBI agent, Pasdar will be around for multiple episodes, appearing in an intense two-parter airing February 21 and 28. The obvious diff is that whereas Delany gave us a beautiful and tough-as-nails G-Woman, Pasdar’s fed will offer up a very special kind of handsome.
Soon after her Castle gig, Delany went on to land the lead in the new ABC drama Body Of Proof, premiering March 29.
Castle marks Pasdar’s first major TV role since Nathan Petrelli was truly and sincerely killed off of Heroes about a year ago, as the NBC series neared its finale.
So, Castle fans: Can Adrian Pasdar be your hero, baby?

Ask Ausiello: A Castle-Beckett Kiss & Plot Twist
Question: Castle? Please, please, please? My birthday is this week, and I’m a totally loyal fan since TV Guide (just ask Matt), so please give me some really juicy Castle scoop? —Gina
Ausiello: Spoke to Matt. He says he wouldn’t know you if he tripped over you at Subway. But that’s neither here nor there. A Castle scoop you want, a Castle scoop you get: A Castle-Beckett smooch won’t be the only plot twist in the show’s Jan. 24 episode. The ep will also feature some significant movement in Beckett’s quest to find her mother’s killer. Oh, and regarding the Big Kiss, let’s just say there’s a lot more to the story.
