CASTLE & BECKETT WORK A MURDER CASE IN WHICH RYAN'S STOLEN GUN WAS THE WEAPON, ON ABC'S "CASTLE"
"Kick the Ballistics" - While investigating the mysterious shooting death of a young woman, Castle and Beckett face a cop's worst nightmare when they discover that the gun used in the killing is Det. Ryan's old service weapon - the one that was stolen by the serial killer, 3XK. Now with the clock ticking, the team must work to solve the murder, track down 3XK and retrieve Ryan's gun before the killer strikes again, on "Castle," MONDAY, OCTOBER 10 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET sptv050769), on the ABC Television Network.
"Castle" stars Nathan Fillion as Richard Castle, Stana Katic as NYPD Detective Kate Beckett, Susan Sullivan as Martha Rodgers, Molly Quinn as Alexis Castle, Penny Johnson Jerald as NYPD Captain Victoria Gates, Tamala Jones as Medical Examiner Lanie Parish, Jon Huertas as NYPD Detective Javier Esposito, and Seamus Dever as NYPD Detective Kevin Ryan.
Guest Cast: Billy Lush as Finn McQueen, Ross McCall as Seth Carver, Francois Chau as Clifford Lee, Lanny Joon as Philip Lee, Tim Jo as Ben Lee.

ReplyDeleteWonder if Beckett will have panic attacks about Castle as she was scared she nearly lost him in their previous encounter with 3XK.
She will be overly protective of Castle - should be VERY interesting!

ReplyDeleteOne of the things that first attracted me to Castle was Stana's acting and how expressive her face is (some of the glances/look from the first episode of the series told LOTS more than the dialog).
ReplyDeleteIn her recent interview, she mentioned about maybe putting in some "looks" at Castle when he isn't looking, that show off Beckett's feelings for him.
If anybody can pull that sort of thing off (and I think she did it extremely well in the season opener also), it will be her.
I think that THIS episode will provide an excellent vehicle for such looks and glances, as she will quite likely be feeling his pain and anguish when they THINK that 3xk is back.
A twist would be that the murder is unrelated to 3xk because he sold the gun for some reason (or gave it to somebody to throw them off).
As for Gates and her reaction. The loss of Ryan's gun will have been reported and all attendant paperwork and investigations completed and so while finding it, now that it has been used in a homicide, will likely be a priority, I doubt that she will be pissed at Ryan. In fact, this might be a chance to show a slightly less tough side, being more supportive of her personnel than some sort of angry ogre.

castle's reaction after the last murder, not being able to help, etc. will probably leave him vulnerable. perhaps a chance for beckett to open up a little to support him? ryan too, with his upcoming wedding, will likely make for interesting watching - maybe jenny needs to watch her back? she does fit the description...
