Oh crap! I thought Andrew Marlowe said they were done with castle and beckett having other relationships. If this is the case, those 2 are never ever going to get together.
I really thought this season was going to be different, not another girlfriend now??? Every season Castle has some grilfriend or another. This is getting old. Becketts never going to dump Josh for a guy who claims he loves her but is constantly attracted to other women. Im not liking this storyline.
I think this is dumb...I mean come on, havent we already seen this scenario like a million times on castle. He is always attracted to someone, will probably sleep with her and Beckett will know about it, and its the same cycle again.

If you intended to bring in this gilrfriend, why did you say that the element of other grilfirnds/boyfriends are played out? I seriously thought that this season would be the best so far becasue castle and beckett will get closer and be on the same page.

I think it may be like the Nikki Heat episode. Beckett gets a little frazzled. It was cute then seeing her jealous and all, but at that time he was still with Gina and the "kiss" hadnt happened yet, so I think Beckett wasnt so effected and brushed it off.
However now after everything shes been through, Im not sure how she will react, and I really hope it doesnt push her further away, because I seriously want them to get closer and if Beckett feels like she cant trust Castle with her heart theres no way thats happening.
Seems like peoples patience are running out. I suppose I understand, we've been watching 3 seasons of castle and beckett do their dance, its fun and sweet but its about time they step up the game here. We need to see them move forward very very soon.

Ok i think its dumb for castle to confess his love for beckett and "instantly be attracted" to someone else. If he can be attracted to others so easily, how would that make beckett ever trust him??? I hate to say this, but after reading this, the "I Love You" doesnt seem so heartfelt anymore. It makes that whole scene less meaningful.
I have total faith... Eye of the beholder when it comes to others castles pretty superficial and his relationships don't usually last. Personally I'm hoping she... turns out to be a he.
Just because he feels attracted to another woman doesn't mean he doesn't love Kate or that he will start a relationship with that woman. Let's just see how this plays out, I don't think it'll be a bad episode for Castle and Beckett.

I'm sure it can be a great episode! Maybe one morning Beckett will ask Castle something like "Soooo how did you sleep...?" (with a mega-disappointed-but-trying-to-hide-it face) and he'll be like "WHAT!? No! I didn't sleep with her!?" and then tell beckett something really sweet :)
At anon 2.57, finding someone attractive and being attracted to someone is 2 entirely different things. If it said he finds this woman attractive then thats fine, of course its natural to find other poeple attractive even when youre in love with someone. But being attracted, and might i add "instantly" is totally different, it shows that the love and attraction he has for beckett isnt sincere. I agree with someone about the "I love you" , now that scene seems kind of meaningless to me.
After Castle's love confession to Beckett, it's really doubtful Marlowe will put us through this; he'd lose his credibility. If anything, it'll be nothing more than some 'harmless flirting'. I've seen so many title descriptions of other shows that hinted so much more than what we get presented here. The show's producer of this other show I watch even warned the shippers wouldn't want to miss it... The result? Nothing meaningful and had no further influence on the main characters' relationship in the episodes that followed after. So am I worried Marlowe will do anything stupid? Not at all.
As said before: have faith. The two will gradually get together. Like anyone else, I personally am in favor of getting this over with too. This season should seal the deal.
Guys, I don't think this is going to be a bad episode at all. He may be attracted to her, but he doesn't love her like he does Kate. I think he's going to have a chance to be with her but he turns her down because he knows what he really wants. I don't think they will be introducing another girlfriend character.. I believed Marlowe when he said that aspect is played out and I still have faith. Especially since we haven't even seen an episode from season 4 yet, so I'm not going to make assumptions or get mad until I see the proof.

Rick meets woman, instant attraction. Throughout the episode Rick gives her attention, kate gets jealous. at the end, kate confronts him, he says something adorable to the equivalent of "im a one-writer girl"
I'm just desperately trying to find some way that "instantly attracted" means something other than a new romantic lead. A few ideas:
1.) Castle was definitely instantly attracted to Kira Blaine, but in the end (even though he did kiss her) it ended up moving forward C&B's relationship ("She's real. I didn't think you did real." and "He's all yours", etc.). Maybe it's someone from his past, like Alison(2x15) - Castle told Alexis that he met and fell in love with a girl named Alison and never learned her last name. He said, "Not a week goes by that I don't think of her." What if he runs into her, but ultimately realizes Beckett is far better?
2) This is a stretch here, but what if this woman has something very familiar about her - unique last name that Castle remembered hearing in a story Martha told, etc. Castle starts spending time with her, Beckett is insanely jealous, then it's revealed that Castle has met his long-lost half sister. I would LOVE that - we get to see jealous Beckett, Castle does his own rogue detective work, and no Castle shenanigans with disasterous consequences.
I just have to have faith that AWM meant it when he said the significant other storyline is played out. He knows what's cheap and boring - Nathan Fillion says they try to avoid playing the same note - so I have to believe that there's a trick up his sleeve.

I think everybody needs to calm down. We have no idea what happens in the previous episodes do we? In "Nikki Heat" he was.attracted but didn't act on it, and Beckett was surprised and impressed, why do you jump to the conclusion that he will jump into bed with this one? Anyway I guess it's ok for Beckett to sleep with someone else and Castle has to be celibate because if he isn't she can't trust him. Come on now. Let's just wait and see what happens.
at anon 8.47...if castle is still at that point where he is looking at other women or comparing beckett to women in his past then thats NOT true love!!!Even if it is this Alison woman, and he is still thinking about her than he is not ready to be with anyone else and he certainly doesnt love Beckett. And if he is still unsure about Beckett and is only now realizing that she is better than whoever this other woman is then thats not love either. This whole scenario makes his I love you feel like a lie. Honestly Im not interested in this episode.
I would like to believe that AM is not going to cheat us fans. He said that element is played out refering to other relationships, I hope thats true. Because I would hate to see castle with anyone else. Afetr 3 seasons, they need to either get together or decide to wait a while and give it time, but be responsible and mature enough to not jump into other relationships. At Cheryl, its not that its ok for Beckett to sleep with anyone, its not. But Beckett isnt that type of woman, her character is not one that jumps a guy. Whereas Castle is the exact opposite. Thats why fans are harder on him, its becasue he is capable of doing that. Beckett has been with Josh and only Josh for a year, she hasnt and was never sleeping with random men.
Castle has randomly hooked up with lots of women, like Ellie Monroe for example. But at that point he was just physically attracted to Beckett, no real emotions. After everything theyve been through in season 3, I cannot accept castle just being instantly attracted to someone else...thats low, even by castle standards!!!
Ok I have a question...how does a man confess his love to a woman and care for her on so many levels, and then suddenly "is instantly attracted" to someone else? Because I dont get that. He may find other women attractive, yes...but to say he is attracted, that doesnt sound like a man who is in love. Some people say Becketts going to be jealous, yes she will be but i dont think she will do anything about it. If anything i think seeing castle all attracted to another woman will only reinforce her trust issues with him. Any woman in her position wouldnt trust castle after that. This episode could just cause so many rpoblems that im not going to like at all...
At Cecilia, you cant really compare the scenario with Alex Conrad, because Beckett was not attracted to him. There was no indication of that, and Beckett never showed him attention other than going for dinner, which they didnt show us viewers so im guessing really not important dinner. And Becektt was with Josh, so the thought never crossed her mind. Castle on the other hand, no girlfriend right now, no commitment to Beckett or anyone else, he is a free agent, hence he wont care. Beckett will probably be jealous, make some sarcastic comment and move on. Remember after the events of the finale, she is tenfolds more vulnerable than she was, hence she will not be willing to to put herself in a situation where she could get hurt or burned again by Castle. We all remember how she got burned in the season 2 finale. So she will be jealous but she will avoid the whole thing. She will not tell Castle how she feels.
For goodness sake, this is really dumb, another woman? I thought Castle is clear about his feelings for Beckett? How can he be so easily attracted to someone else. I feel cheated. Obivously Beckett doesnt really mean that much to him. Maybe she should just stay with Josh, at least he has his mind made up about who he loves and wants!
Honestly this game of theirs is getting ridiculous. They need to move forward. This whole 1 step forward 2 steps back is downright annoying. AM can drag out getting them together a little more but not for much longer. There must be a natural progression for season 4, and after wathcing season 3, they next logical and natural step is to make them get more closer and start trusting each other on a whole new level. If castle can get attracted to women just out of nowhere, Beckett is not going to be able to trust him with her heart...if he really loves her then he's got to prove it.
Attracted to another woman? No way, he's Beckett's! If she remembers what he said before she fainted, she won't be jealous, she will be confused and mad. But as it is episode 4 let's see what happens in the previous 3 episodes to make them end up like that. ;-)
The fact that he's attracted to this woman doesn't mean he's going to take her to bed, let alone start a relationship with her.... He is handsome and flirty by nature. I'm sure there's nothing to worry about.
OK, since we don't know what's happened in the first three episodes, it's academic, but still fun to speculate. So, let's see how this plays out. Marlowe is not dumb and will not take us down the unfortunate path that Hanson took us down for two seasons.
Since Josh is likely in the picture, Castle may indeed be attracted to others, but not act on it. Like Natalie Rhodes, he'll be enthralled, but in the end, he won't act on it. I suspect this other woman will sense the 'connection' between the partners and may not want to get in the middle.
Castle regrets his playboy image and wants to change. It's why he said 'No' to Natalie.
Recall Beckett's rant during the season finale in her apartment before she threw Castle out that "hanging around with the school's funniest kid" is not enough.
I think these last two points may weigh on Castle.
I don't believe Malowe would be that stupid guys Leaves two choices: Kate goes undercover... Or As much as i hate to say it, Beckett and Castle talk on the swings at the end of first episode, she tells him she's not ready, she's with Josh etc and Castle is trying to move on... I'm really worried about that swings scene folks. It does not look good and i have really nasty feeling the "big twist that will flow throughout the season" is something to do with Josh asking Kate to marry him. And Kate not saying no...
Remember Folks, Castle was instantly attracted to Agent Shaw, or more accurately her tech, how did Beckett take that? she was jealous and a little possessive. I can only hope this is a repeat of that. Castle has grown up so lets hope whoever is writing that episode remembers that and that Andrew and the team don't get bullied by the network into keeping Castle and Beckett apart. Remember the Castle's "I love you" almost didn't happen (I think Laurie Zaks is the one who admitted that).
I'm happy we as fans do get outraged about stuff like this because it means we love the show. Remember when they announced the new captain, the entire fan base mobilized and given press release s we changed things.
I've been thinking that the big twist may not have to do with Castle and Beckett's relationship directly but with the fact that Montgomery may have mailed those files to Castle. He probably asked Castle not to share them with Beckett. So Castle would end up knowing more about her mother's killer than her. That would "flow throughout the season" without a doubt.
OMG people, calm down. I am deeply in love with my husband, would never cheat on him, but I have been attracted to other men. Just because Castle is attracted to someone else doesn't make the "I love you" any less meaningful. I'm sure by this point in the season, their relationship will have been addressed (hopefully - I feel the swings look like a good place for a heart to heart), and they will both know where they stand, one way or the other, but I know it won't be "together." Also, Castle has always had an appreciation for women, it's part of who he is - he's a playboy.

I don't think the big twist is Josh asking Kate to marry him. I think Josh will be leaving soon enough. Remember Andrew Marlowe said he is not an impediment this season, so I can't see him actually staying with Kate. I too think it's got something to do with those files. And probably castles guilt that follows throughout the season. Could also be Alexis teenage drama issues because she is going to have a problem with castle following Beckett.
As for the is attraction castle will have, i hope it's just some silly thing only in that episode and we never have to see her again. At anon 3.01, I don't think the swing scene is where they discuss the I love you. As far as I know, AM said that the I love you being said will only be addressed sometime mid season. I think the swing scene is more about her mothers case and talking about montgomerys death, that's why they look sombre. Given how Beckett looks, could also be after the time jump and castle hasn't been around the percent. So they meet at the park and he hands her heat rises. I think after Beckett wakes up, she tells him to stop shadowing her for a bit given how dangerous things have become.
So he finishes his book during this time and then time jump and he meets her at the park. They probably just say they miss each other and she may say she never meant what she said in her apartment. So that's why they look serious. But not the I love you, we have got to wait for that.
But like most fans I too don't like the idea of castle being attracted to another woman quite so easily. I mean he is supposed to be more invested in Beckett after all that's happened, meaning being around her more.

At anonymous 3.01, I really doubt the swing is about Kate saying Josh proposed to her. Andrew Marlowe would be completely dumb if he started off a season on a downer like that. Fans will hate that and will not be encouraged to watch. The premier will be something that will reel you back in so it will be interesting and it may touch on some castle Beckett stuff, but I'm not sure. Besides Andrew Marlowe did say that Josh isn't going to be an issue, he will be around for a while I think but he is not going to be an issue.
And I don't think it's about castle moving on or Beckett for that matter. Their relationship is going to move forwards and they will be entering new territories. Andrew Marlowe's words not mine. So castle moving on will not help the relationship grow. I think at some point they address their feelings but decide to wait a bit before they can get together. But I hope they become really really close in the meanwhile. However I'm not interested in this dumb scenario of castle being attracted to another woman in an instant. Im so tired of this back and forth between them. They take one step forward and then two steps back. When Beckett was with Demming, castle was alone, then Beckett dumps Demming and Castles got Gina. Then Castle dumps Gina and Becketts got Josh. Now if Beckett dumps Josh and Castle gets a new girlfriend, I am going to be really really really pissed. As ive stated above, this scenario is played out and old. AM has used it too many times. If AM wants to keep them apart for a little longer there are other ways. The most obvious being a pesky and annoying teenage Alexis who we know is going to be a problem in this season.
I think you all are seriously over reacting......... for all we know Beckett might just break Castle's heart at the beginning of the season and he's probably just trying to move on. However, I seriously doubt he'll even act on it. Besides, there's no way Castle would intentionally break Beckett's heart.
I would just like to address the issue of some fans saying that it doesnt mean if Castle is attracted to another woman he is going to sleep with her. Thats true. However the issue is not the physical attraction here. Its more the emotional.
It is perfectly normal for men to find lots of women attractive. But saying that you're attracted to them is not the same. That measn theres a connection. So how, I ask, is it possible for a head over heels in love Castle to be instantly attracted to someone.
Bare in mind, Castle is not just physically attracted to Beckett, he was but now its very much an emotional and mental and spritual connection and friendship they have. so for him to just instantly be attracted is juvenile.
Over the last season, he has matured and seems to be trying to get Beckett to take him seriously. How will this stunt of his help that argument. After 3 whole seasons, its very frustrating to see the writers still pulling this crap.
They make it seem like Castle cant just be on his own. Why must he alwasy have a relationship or woman. Thats the old Castle. The new Castle is supposed to be matured and a little more trustworthy. How will Beckett trust him if he claims he loves her but can be so taken up and attracted to someone in an instant. She will just see how at the end of the day, he is same old Castle.
At President of OCDC, Andrew Marlowe wouild be stupid to make Beckett break Castles heart in the premier. Everyone will already know what the season will be like then, no thrill or surprise. Not to mention fans will be absolutely upset if that happens and even more upset if Josh is still an issue.
The premier always has to have hope, like season 2 primier where she took him back, and season 3 premier where she let him win and took him back again. If Beckett breaks his heart, no hope there, we know Castle being Castle, the typical thing would be to find another woman. But after breaking up with Gina Castle seems to be more interested in proving himself worthy of Beckett and thats a good sign, becasue her reaction to it has been positive as well. Lets not forget she almost told him she loves him in the freezer, so she is getting there. He needs to be patient. With his history can you blame her for being so cautious. Im afraid this woman he will be attracted to will make Beckett take a step back and put more strain on their relationship. Thier suppose to be getting more closer and comfortable with each other not the other way round. They dont need to be together to spend time together, and I thikn fans will be very happy with them just spending time together outside the precint and inching closer and closer.
You know what I want more than anything in the premiere? A hug. A real, genuine, warm, loving hug.
And I don't see any reason to freak out about Castle being attracted to another woman because Marlowe said that there won't be obstacles of that sort anymore.. and I believe him. I won't be mad until I see with my own eyes that Castle has a new girlfriend.

I agree with some of the comments, now the last scene in the finale seems cheap. The I love you doesnt seem meaningful anymore. Being instantly attracted to someone else shows he is still the same old Castle, and is not regarding Beckett as someone he truly loves. Then why say the I love you?

You can find people attractive, but you being attracted to them is an entirely different case. Not when you truly love someone else. After what Castle said last season, Im finding it very hard to accept that he can just isntantly be attracted to another woman. If this scenario took place pre season 3 kiss episode( knonkdown), it wouldnt have been that bad becasue he hadnt come right out and admitted to loving her or had not even shown any real concrete emotions then to how much Beckett really means to him. BUT NOW!!! No way. Not acceptable.
After the kiss, they have got so much more emotionally involved and invested with each other, its a low blow to think that Castle can be so easily attracted to someone else. Makes his declaration of love seem so insignificant.
In One Life To Loose, the end scene, the way Castle looks at Beckett, its like he is looking into her soul, how can anyone who seems so in awe,entralled and completely in love with the woman sitting across of him be attracted to another in an instant. NOT REALISTIC!
I just don't get why people are freaking out over this, already blaming Castle for something that might or might not happen in episode 5 of a season that hasn't even started yet! I trust Castle and I trust AM, he seems to know what he's doing. If you really love this show and its characters, then why threaten to stop watching after reading a three line episode description? I used to be a Bones fan, and I hated it when they brought in Hannah. To add to that Bones and Booth took too long to get together, I started viewieng them as good friends and they lost their chemistry. Needless to say I never wathced season 6. It was not enticing.
Andrew Marlowe,please dont make that mistake. I understand the need to keep them apart for your network a little longer, but Im certain if they dont seal the deal and get together this season, you will be losing lots of fans. There is no point in dragging something out too long and losing all the spice and chemistry in the meantime. Thats exactly what happened with Bones. Those two lost their spark.
We do not need to see Castle and Beckett in any other relationships. They can slowly get together but dont throw other relationships in the way as an obsticle. Its no longer believable, that 2 poeple who so obviously love and care for each other can keep seeing others and lie to themselves.
At least make them honest people, and not be so pathetic as to jump in another relationship just for the sake of it. Keep their characters strong. A strong character doesnt need to have significant others unless its the one they really want. At least that way, yes they may not be ready to be together yet, but they are not lying to themselves and dating others in the time being. They know what they want and respect each other enough to wait till the time is right.
At anon 1.39, actaully I disagree, Castle and Beckett are not strong. If they were they would have already been honest with each other. They both are extremely insecure when it comes to the other.
Castle may flirt and be a ladies man, but when it comes to Beckett is a scared little puppy who cant face his real feelings. And Beckett is too busy keeping him at arms bay becasue hse is scared to let herself love again. If she was stronger, Josh would have been long gone by now.
As much as I love Castle and Beckett, they need a good knock on their heads to bring them to their senses. Something liek having Castle attracted to another woman will only cause Beckett to retreat back into her shell and prove that her initial insticnts about him was right. I dont know about you, but I dont want to see that happen. I want them to stop their delusions and face the truth, which is they love, care and need each other, weather or not they are willing to accept that, thats the fact!
@ anon 1:58, you are right, they are not strong individuals and are obviously very scared of what they feel, but their bond is strong and they'll always come back to each other, no matter how much they fight and hurt each other. About Beckett retreating back into her shell, I don't think it has to go down that way. It didn't happen with Natalie Rhodes after all and we don't even know what the consequences of this new attraction will be. As you say they love, care and need each other, so I'm not too worried. It doesn't mean I will like seeing that woman interact with Castle, I'll probably be mad at him and sympathize with Beckett, but I'm hoping they'll make it right again by the end of the episode. If they don't, then I'll be furious with AM and the writers, but until then I have faith. Alexis
I think this "instant attraction" thing has been way blown out of proportion.
First of all, people meet people who they are instantly attracted to all the time, they don't necessarily act on it. I think the point of the episode will be Castle rejecting this girl and Beckett getting jealous and then realising how much he cares about her.
I think we can assume they won't be all lovey dovey from the "I love you" as we've heard Josh is still around, so I'm thinking Castle might be slightly bitter. I don't think this woman will actually be a threat, and hes so in love with Kate that she could never be.

I don't like the idea of this. Castle and Beckett are suppose to be getting closer. If castle is going to get attracted to someone just instantly, that's not going to prove to Beckett that he is serious about his confession of love to her.
I agree with anon at 12.26... You cant declare your love for someone and then just be instantly attracted to someone else. Makes his declaration so insincere now. Castle and Beckett have the strongest type of love, since they started as friends, then she accepted him as her partner, her confidant. They have shared so much with each other and have been through so much together which has strengthened their bond. When you have something like that, the love is so strong that you can't possibly be instant,y attracted to someone else. That's so dumb.
To all those who are saying that you can't love someone and be attracted to someone else at the same time... you do realize that there is a component of attraction that is physical that we have no conscious control over, right?
If you live in a lovey-dovey world where you're married to your soulmate and the hottest (or smartest or richest or whatever it is that turns you on) guy/girl in the world crosses paths with you and you're not drawn to them in the least... you're either very loyal or you're not being completely honest. Why does "attraction" always have to equal a sexual relationship, anyway? Can't you be attracted to a person's qualities without wanting to jump into bed with them?
The way I see it, Beckett has been "attracted" to Castle almost from the beginning. She kept him around longer than she was required to, which says something. What was it in him that she was attracted to? It was obviously more than just physical or sexual, and it's lasted throughout her numerous escapades with other men. Now that relationship is changing, and she might be attracted to Castle in a new way, but that doesn't negate the fact that the attraction was of a different sort in the beginning.
Anyway, this is Episode 5 that we're talking about. If this spoiler was about Episode 1, yeah, that wouldn't make much sense. But a lot can happen in a couple of episodes, and we have no idea where the Caskett relationship is going to stand at that point. Heck, we don't even know how the "I love you" is going to fit into the picture. For all we know, Beckett might not even remember it.
I think that there is a twist in this episode,I have a feeling that "instant attraction" will be over something else,not phisical attraction.And the title of the episode kind of says that.
I think people exaggerate a little about this article.I mean...First of all,like it's been said before "instantly attracted to someone" doesn't mean "jump into bed with and start a relationship with that person".Do you remember bachelorette no.3 and all the other women that Castle has been attracted to during the first 3 seasons? All of these "attractions" occupied no longer than a couple of minutes in one episode,it's not like they are recreating the "Gina arc"...Secondly,if they were,they would've probably cast an actress for the role by now,as they would have to consider more factors for casting a recurring character then they would in the case of a guest star.Thirdly,again,like some have said before, for all we know this episode will be happening months after the shooting,as they will have a time leap during the premiere,so we don't even know what's the status of the Castle/Beckett relationship.Thus,everyone should just calm down and wait for the episode itself before jumping to conclusions.

Ive read all the comments, and I have mixed feelings about this. As much as I understand that yeah you be attracted to toher poeple, I jst figure given what these 2 have been through, they will be even more connected. I definitely DO NOT want to see Castle get into another relationship. Andrew Marlowe said that element is played out and I would like to believe that thats the truth. So even though this will be a 1 episode thing, I hope by the end of the episode theres some resolution in the form of a very sweet caskett moment. Maybe Beckett gets the wrong idea throughout the episode and at the end Castle sets her straight. My only fear with it is that Beckett may not trust him if he carries son with this behaviour, and I want their relationship to grow.
I sooooo need to see those two more intimate, even if its just as partners, more touching, hugging, kiss on the forehead etc. All these subtle gestures that show what the inevitable will be, that is them getting together. Gosh I miss these two so much I cant wait for the premier.
I dont like this whole Castle being attracted to someone instantly. But Im going to give the writers the benefit of the doubt and see what happens. I hope scenes with this woman is minimal as I wouldnt want to see her flirt with Castle. By the end of the episode, he better be by Becketts side.

I agree with anon at 6.18. Castle has earned Becketts trust when it comes to being partners. But he needs to work on earning her trust and respect when it comes to matters of the heart. If he cant, he can forget about having her.
Beckett plays it close to the heart, shes not gonna be impressed by a man who is contantly attracted to other woman but in that same breath tells her he loves her. Most woman would feel the same way, if they had a Castle in their lives.
At Cheryl, I hope youre right and its that kind of attraction. Because I would not like it if it was any other kind of attraction. Cant wait to see Castle and Beckett form a better and stronger relationship and get more intimate with each other.
Everyone needs to chill. This is just an opportunity for Beckett to be jealous!!! Attraction isn't love. He LOVES Beckett. So have faith. The writers are amazing. Trust them. AND STOP COMPARING IT TO BONES! Nothing is completely original anyway.

I dont really like this. I hope that this attraction to this woman is just a regular he finds her pretty thing, and I dont want to see them go on a date. If its to make Beckett jealous then I hope by the end of the episode she actually opens up a little to Castle about her feelings. I know it wont be direct but in a subtle way.
I hope this is like the episode where Alex Conrad comes. So its not that bad. I DONT want Castle going on a date but if he does I hope they dont show it, just like they didnt show Beckett having dinner with Conrad. But at the end there better be some resolution which is something like "one writer girl". I cant wait to see Castle and Beckett enter new territory as AM mentioned. Maybe this will be a push in the right direction.

At Aanon 8.51, haha of course this is a hot topic of conversation. We are done with having Castle and Beckett involved with others. They dont need to get together straight away but they need to aknowledge and admit to themselves at least that they love each other and are willing to wait till their both ready to jump in. Wow. This was a far more philosophical discussion than I expected.
I'm not too concerned about Castle getting into anything long- (or short-term) with another woman. Yeah, he's kind of a playboy (or has been), but one doesn't get the impression that an "I love you" from Castle comes easily. If anything, it will be a fleeting attraction that will help both Castle and Beckett to realize how much they truly do care for each other. I doubt Castle will even act on it, except maybe to ponder if pursuing Beckett is worth the heartache he's having to endure--especially when there are other (strong?) women he could date who wouldn't keep him at arm's length.
He will, of course, choose to keep chasing Beckett, heartache or no. But to be honest, Beckett needs to get her head out of her rear end, and realize that she could lose this guy if she's not careful. She takes his attraction to her for granted a bit too often, methinks.
@Chad Whitley- I really agree that she takes his attraction to her for granted. Other than hi summer in the Hamptons, he's always been there for her. What's she going to do when he's fed up with waiting and he leaves? (Not that I think that will happen.)
I think she may not take him for granted as much once she finds out that the new captain won't be as accepting of him as Montgomery was. She might have to fight for him to stay there, and I really hope she does because that will show just how much she really cares about him being there with her every day.
I’m not worried about the New Love Interest of Castle’s going anywhere. “Yes”, Beckett will take a double take and get Jealous but not let on to anyone. However, this new Love Interest may have been planted by the so called Dragon. They are looking for those files by way of an Intelligent and attractive Mole and where better to begin, then with “Castle”.
i think that the woman is the girl that Castle felt in love with years ago. In a episode Castle en Alexis talk about the fact that castle dont know who his father is. Then Castle tells her a story that years ago he met a woman, fell madly in love with her, and the next day she was gone. He only knew here first name. He looked for her but coudnt find her. There wasnt a day passed that he hasnt thought of her. I think that she's the woman Castle is instantly attracted to. But at the and of the episode Castle tells her that she is to late. He is in love with someone els (Beckett of course). (sorry for the bad English i am dutch)

I think it may be like the Nikki Heat episode. Beckett gets a little frazzled. It was cute then seeing her jealous and all, but at that time he was still with Gina and the "kiss" hadnt happened yet, so I think Beckett wasnt so effected and brushed it off.

If it said he finds this woman attractive then thats fine, of course its natural to find other poeple attractive even when youre in love with someone. But being attracted, and might i add "instantly" is totally different, it shows that the love and attraction he has for beckett isnt sincere. I agree with someone about the "I love you" , now that scene seems kind of meaningless to me.
ReplyDeleteAfter Castle's love confession to Beckett, it's really doubtful Marlowe will put us through this; he'd lose his credibility. If anything, it'll be nothing more than some 'harmless flirting'. I've seen so many title descriptions of other shows that hinted so much more than what we get presented here. The show's producer of this other show I watch even warned the shippers wouldn't want to miss it... The result? Nothing meaningful and had no further influence on the main characters' relationship in the episodes that followed after. So am I worried Marlowe will do anything stupid? Not at all.

Guys, I don't think this is going to be a bad episode at all. He may be attracted to her, but he doesn't love her like he does Kate. I think he's going to have a chance to be with her but he turns her down because he knows what he really wants. I don't think they will be introducing another girlfriend character.. I believed Marlowe when he said that aspect is played out and I still have faith. Especially since we haven't even seen an episode from season 4 yet, so I'm not going to make assumptions or get mad until I see the proof.

ReplyDeleteI'm just desperately trying to find some way that "instantly attracted" means something other than a new romantic lead. A few ideas:
ReplyDelete1.) Castle was definitely instantly attracted to Kira Blaine, but in the end (even though he did kiss her) it ended up moving forward C&B's relationship ("She's real. I didn't think you did real." and "He's all yours", etc.). Maybe it's someone from his past, like Alison(2x15) - Castle told Alexis that he met and fell in love with a girl named Alison and never learned her last name. He said, "Not a week goes by that I don't think of her." What if he runs into her, but ultimately realizes Beckett is far better?
2) This is a stretch here, but what if this woman has something very familiar about her - unique last name that Castle remembered hearing in a story Martha told, etc. Castle starts spending time with her, Beckett is insanely jealous, then it's revealed that Castle has met his long-lost half sister. I would LOVE that - we get to see jealous Beckett, Castle does his own rogue detective work, and no Castle shenanigans with disasterous consequences.
I just have to have faith that AWM meant it when he said the significant other storyline is played out. He knows what's cheap and boring - Nathan Fillion says they try to avoid playing the same note - so I have to believe that there's a trick up his sleeve.
I dont like this at all. AM said that the significant other role is played out, so Im confused. You cant say you love someone and then just easily be instantly attracted to another. that shows that the love is not that real after all.

In "Nikki Heat" he was.attracted but didn't act on it, and Beckett was surprised and impressed, why do you jump to the conclusion that he will jump into bed with this one? At Cheryl, its not that its ok for Beckett to sleep with anyone, its not. But Beckett isnt that type of woman, her character is not one that jumps a guy. Whereas Castle is the exact opposite. Thats why fans are harder on him, its becasue he is capable of doing that. Beckett has been with Josh and only Josh for a year, she hasnt and was never sleeping with random men.

After everything theyve been through in season 3, I cannot accept castle just being instantly attracted to someone else...thats low, even by castle standards!!!
Ok I have a question...how does a man confess his love to a woman and care for her on so many levels, and then suddenly "is instantly attracted" to someone else? Because I dont get that. He may find other women attractive, yes...but to say he is attracted, that doesnt sound like a man who is in love. At Cecilia, you cant really compare the scenario with Alex Conrad, because Beckett was not attracted to him. There was no indication of that, and Beckett never showed him attention other than going for dinner, which they didnt show us viewers so im guessing really not important dinner. And Becektt was with Josh, so the thought never crossed her mind. Castle on the other hand, no girlfriend right now, no commitment to Beckett or anyone else, he is a free agent, hence he wont care. Beckett will probably be jealous, make some sarcastic comment and move on. Remember after the events of the finale, she is tenfolds more vulnerable than she was, hence she will not be willing to to put herself in a situation where she could get hurt or burned again by Castle. We all remember how she got burned in the season 2 finale. So she will be jealous but she will avoid the whole thing. She will not tell Castle how she feels.

There must be a natural progression for season 4, and after wathcing season 3, they next logical and natural step is to make them get more closer and start trusting each other on a whole new level. If castle can get attracted to women just out of nowhere, Beckett is not going to be able to trust him with her heart...if he really loves her then he's got to prove it.
Attracted to another woman? No way, he's Beckett's! If she remembers what he said before she fainted, she won't be jealous, she will be confused and mad. But as it is episode 4 let's see what happens in the previous 3 episodes to make them end up like that. ;-)

ReplyDeleteOK, since we don't know what's happened in the first three episodes, it's academic, but still fun to speculate. So, let's see how this plays out. Marlowe is not dumb and will not take us down the unfortunate path that Hanson took us down for two seasons.
ReplyDeleteSince Josh is likely in the picture, Castle may indeed be attracted to others, but not act on it. Like Natalie Rhodes, he'll be enthralled, but in the end, he won't act on it. I suspect this other woman will sense the 'connection' between the partners and may not want to get in the middle.
Castle regrets his playboy image and wants to change. It's why he said 'No' to Natalie.
Recall Beckett's rant during the season finale in her apartment before she threw Castle out that "hanging around with the school's funniest kid" is not enough.
I think these last two points may weigh on Castle.

As much as i hate to say it, Beckett and Castle talk on the swings at the end of first episode, she tells him she's not ready, she's with Josh etc and Castle is trying to move on...
I'm really worried about that swings scene folks. It does not look good and i have really nasty feeling the "big twist that will flow throughout the season" is something to do with Josh asking Kate to marry him. And Kate not saying no...
Remember Folks, Castle was instantly attracted to Agent Shaw, or more accurately her tech, how did Beckett take that? she was jealous and a little possessive. I can only hope this is a repeat of that.
ReplyDeleteCastle has grown up so lets hope whoever is writing that episode remembers that and that Andrew and the team don't get bullied by the network into keeping Castle and Beckett apart. Remember the Castle's "I love you" almost didn't happen (I think Laurie Zaks is the one who admitted that).
I'm happy we as fans do get outraged about stuff like this because it means we love the show. Remember when they announced the new captain, the entire fan base mobilized and given press release s we changed things.
I've been thinking that the big twist may not have to do with Castle and Beckett's relationship directly but with the fact that Montgomery may have mailed those files to Castle. He probably asked Castle not to share them with Beckett. So Castle would end up knowing more about her mother's killer than her. That would "flow throughout the season" without a doubt.
ReplyDeleteOMG people, calm down. I am deeply in love with my husband, would never cheat on him, but I have been attracted to other men. Just because Castle is attracted to someone else doesn't make the "I love you" any less meaningful. I'm sure by this point in the season, their relationship will have been addressed (hopefully - I feel the swings look like a good place for a heart to heart), and they will both know where they stand, one way or the other, but I know it won't be "together." Also, Castle has always had an appreciation for women, it's part of who he is - he's a playboy.

Remember Andrew Marlowe said he is not an impediment this season, so I can't see him actually staying with Kate. I too think it's got something to do with those files. And probably castles guilt that follows throughout the season. Could also be Alexis teenage drama issues because she is going to have a problem with castle following Beckett.

At anon 3.01, I don't think the swing scene is where they discuss the I love you. As far as I know, AM said that the I love you being said will only be addressed sometime mid season. I think the swing scene is more about her mothers case and talking about montgomerys death, that's why they look sombre. Given how Beckett looks, could also be after the time jump and castle hasn't been around the percent. So they meet at the park and he hands her heat rises. I think after Beckett wakes up, she tells him to stop shadowing her for a bit given how dangerous things have become.

But like most fans I too don't like the idea of castle being attracted to another woman quite so easily. I mean he is supposed to be more invested in Beckett after all that's happened, meaning being around her more.

At anonymous 3.01, I really doubt the swing is about Kate saying Josh proposed to her. Andrew Marlowe would be completely dumb if he started off a season on a downer like that. Fans will hate that and will not be encouraged to watch. The premier will be something that will reel you back in so it will be interesting and it may touch on some castle Beckett stuff, but I'm not sure. Besides Andrew Marlowe did say that Josh isn't going to be an issue, he will be around for a while I think but he is not going to be an issue.

ReplyDeleteAs ive stated above, this scenario is played out and old. AM has used it too many times. If AM wants to keep them apart for a little longer there are other ways. The most obvious being a pesky and annoying teenage Alexis who we know is going to be a problem in this season.
I think you all are seriously over reacting......... for all we know Beckett might just break Castle's heart at the beginning of the season and he's probably just trying to move on. However, I seriously doubt he'll even act on it. Besides, there's no way Castle would intentionally break Beckett's heart.

ReplyDeleteIt is perfectly normal for men to find lots of women attractive. But saying that you're attracted to them is not the same. That measn theres a connection. So how, I ask, is it possible for a head over heels in love Castle to be instantly attracted to someone.
Bare in mind, Castle is not just physically attracted to Beckett, he was but now its very much an emotional and mental and spritual connection and friendship they have. so for him to just instantly be attracted is juvenile.
Over the last season, he has matured and seems to be trying to get Beckett to take him seriously. How will this stunt of his help that argument. After 3 whole seasons, its very frustrating to see the writers still pulling this crap.
They make it seem like Castle cant just be on his own. Why must he alwasy have a relationship or woman. Thats the old Castle. The new Castle is supposed to be matured and a little more trustworthy. How will Beckett trust him if he claims he loves her but can be so taken up and attracted to someone in an instant. She will just see how at the end of the day, he is same old Castle.
At President of OCDC, Andrew Marlowe wouild be stupid to make Beckett break Castles heart in the premier. Everyone will already know what the season will be like then, no thrill or surprise. Not to mention fans will be absolutely upset if that happens and even more upset if Josh is still an issue.

If Beckett breaks his heart, no hope there, we know Castle being Castle, the typical thing would be to find another woman. But after breaking up with Gina Castle seems to be more interested in proving himself worthy of Beckett and thats a good sign, becasue her reaction to it has been positive as well. Lets not forget she almost told him she loves him in the freezer, so she is getting there. He needs to be patient. With his history can you blame her for being so cautious. Im afraid this woman he will be attracted to will make Beckett take a step back and put more strain on their relationship. Thier suppose to be getting more closer and comfortable with each other not the other way round. They dont need to be together to spend time together, and I thikn fans will be very happy with them just spending time together outside the precint and inching closer and closer.

After what Castle said last season, Im finding it very hard to accept that he can just isntantly be attracted to another woman. If this scenario took place pre season 3 kiss episode( knonkdown), it wouldnt have been that bad becasue he hadnt come right out and admitted to loving her or had not even shown any real concrete emotions then to how much Beckett really means to him. BUT NOW!!! No way. Not acceptable.
After the kiss, they have got so much more emotionally involved and invested with each other, its a low blow to think that Castle can be so easily attracted to someone else. Makes his declaration of love seem so insignificant.

I just don't get why people are freaking out over this, already blaming Castle for something that might or might not happen in episode 5 of a season that hasn't even started yet! I trust Castle and I trust AM, he seems to know what he's doing. If you really love this show and its characters, then why threaten to stop watching after reading a three line episode description?

I used to be a Bones fan, and I hated it when they brought in Hannah. To add to that Bones and Booth took too long to get together, I started viewieng them as good friends and they lost their chemistry. Needless to say I never wathced season 6. It was not enticing.

I understand the need to keep them apart for your network a little longer, but Im certain if they dont seal the deal and get together this season, you will be losing lots of fans. There is no point in dragging something out too long and losing all the spice and chemistry in the meantime. Thats exactly what happened with Bones. Those two lost their spark.
We do not need to see Castle and Beckett in any other relationships. They can slowly get together but dont throw other relationships in the way as an obsticle. Its no longer believable, that 2 poeple who so obviously love and care for each other can keep seeing others and lie to themselves.
At least make them honest people, and not be so pathetic as to jump in another relationship just for the sake of it. Keep their characters strong. A strong character doesnt need to have significant others unless its the one they really want. At least that way, yes they may not be ready to be together yet, but they are not lying to themselves and dating others in the time being. They know what they want and respect each other enough to wait till the time is right.

@ anon 1:58, you are right, they are not strong individuals and are obviously very scared of what they feel, but their bond is strong and they'll always come back to each other, no matter how much they fight and hurt each other. About Beckett retreating back into her shell, I don't think it has to go down that way. It didn't happen with Natalie Rhodes after all and we don't even know what the consequences of this new attraction will be. As you say they love, care and need each other, so I'm not too worried. It doesn't mean I will like seeing that woman interact with Castle, I'll probably be mad at him and sympathize with Beckett, but I'm hoping they'll make it right again by the end of the episode. If they don't, then I'll be furious with AM and the writers, but until then I have faith.

I think we can assume they won't be all lovey dovey from the "I love you" as we've heard Josh is still around, so I'm thinking Castle might be slightly bitter. I don't think this woman will actually be a threat, and hes so in love with Kate that she could never be.

Castle and Beckett have the strongest type of love, since they started as friends, then she accepted him as her partner, her confidant. They have shared so much with each other and have been through so much together which has strengthened their bond. When you have something like that, the love is so strong that you can't possibly be instant,y attracted to someone else. That's so dumb.

ReplyDeleteIf you live in a lovey-dovey world where you're married to your soulmate and the hottest (or smartest or richest or whatever it is that turns you on) guy/girl in the world crosses paths with you and you're not drawn to them in the least... you're either very loyal or you're not being completely honest. Why does "attraction" always have to equal a sexual relationship, anyway? Can't you be attracted to a person's qualities without wanting to jump into bed with them?
The way I see it, Beckett has been "attracted" to Castle almost from the beginning. She kept him around longer than she was required to, which says something. What was it in him that she was attracted to? It was obviously more than just physical or sexual, and it's lasted throughout her numerous escapades with other men. Now that relationship is changing, and she might be attracted to Castle in a new way, but that doesn't negate the fact that the attraction was of a different sort in the beginning.
Anyway, this is Episode 5 that we're talking about. If this spoiler was about Episode 1, yeah, that wouldn't make much sense. But a lot can happen in a couple of episodes, and we have no idea where the Caskett relationship is going to stand at that point. Heck, we don't even know how the "I love you" is going to fit into the picture. For all we know, Beckett might not even remember it.
I think that there is a twist in this episode,I have a feeling that "instant attraction" will be over something else,not phisical attraction.And the title of the episode kind of says that.
ReplyDeleteI think people exaggerate a little about this article.I mean...First of all,like it's been said before "instantly attracted to someone" doesn't mean "jump into bed with and start a relationship with that person".Do you remember bachelorette no.3 and all the other women that Castle has been attracted to during the first 3 seasons? All of these "attractions" occupied no longer than a couple of minutes in one episode,it's not like they are recreating the "Gina arc"...Secondly,if they were,they would've probably cast an actress for the role by now,as they would have to consider more factors for casting a recurring character then they would in the case of a guest star.Thirdly,again,like some have said before, for all we know this episode will be happening months after the shooting,as they will have a time leap during the premiere,so we don't even know what's the status of the Castle/Beckett relationship.Thus,everyone should just calm down and wait for the episode itself before jumping to conclusions.

As much as I understand that yeah you be attracted to toher poeple, I jst figure given what these 2 have been through, they will be even more connected. I definitely DO NOT want to see Castle get into another relationship. Andrew Marlowe said that element is played out and I would like to believe that thats the truth. Beckett plays it close to the heart, shes not gonna be impressed by a man who is contantly attracted to other woman but in that same breath tells her he loves her. Most woman would feel the same way, if they had a Castle in their lives.
I believe that Castle was instantly attracted to Jordon Shaw but I never felt that was romantic attraction.

ReplyDeleteI'm not too concerned about Castle getting into anything long- (or short-term) with another woman. Yeah, he's kind of a playboy (or has been), but one doesn't get the impression that an "I love you" from Castle comes easily. If anything, it will be a fleeting attraction that will help both Castle and Beckett to realize how much they truly do care for each other. I doubt Castle will even act on it, except maybe to ponder if pursuing Beckett is worth the heartache he's having to endure--especially when there are other (strong?) women he could date who wouldn't keep him at arm's length.
He will, of course, choose to keep chasing Beckett, heartache or no. But to be honest, Beckett needs to get her head out of her rear end, and realize that she could lose this guy if she's not careful. She takes his attraction to her for granted a bit too often, methinks.
@Chad Whitley- I really agree that she takes his attraction to her for granted. Other than hi summer in the Hamptons, he's always been there for her. What's she going to do when he's fed up with waiting and he leaves? (Not that I think that will happen.)

She might have to fight for him to stay there, and I really hope she does because that will show just how much she really cares about him being there with her every day.

ReplyDeleteI’m not worried about the New Love Interest of Castle’s going anywhere. “Yes”, Beckett will take a double take and get Jealous but not let on to anyone. However, this new Love Interest may have been planted by the so called Dragon. They are looking for those files by way of an Intelligent and attractive Mole and where better to begin, then with “Castle”.

ReplyDeleteIn a episode Castle en Alexis talk about the fact that castle dont know who his father is. Then Castle tells her a story that years ago he met a woman, fell madly in love with her, and the next day she was gone. He only knew here first name. He looked for her but coudnt find her. There wasnt a day passed that he hasnt thought of her.
I think that she's the woman Castle is instantly attracted to.
But at the and of the episode Castle tells her that she is to late. He is in love with someone els (Beckett of course).
